Gradient doping simulation of perovskite solar cells with CH3NH3Sn1−xPbxI3 as the absorber layer

        Yang Qingchen,Yang Sui,Xi Tingting,Li Hongxing,Yi Jie,Zhong Jianxin 한국물리학회 2022 Current Applied Physics Vol.44 No.-

In this study, we built a perovskite solar cells(PSCs) model with a Au/CuSCN/CH3NH3Sn1-xPbxI3/TiO2/FTO glass structure using the SCAPS program and use polynomial fitting to obtain the relationship between the conduction/valence bands of CH3NH3Sn1-xPbxI3 and the x value, which is more complex and accurate than that in any previous research. The influences of thickness, electron and hole mobilities, relative permittivity, effective conduction band density, effective valence band density, and the value of x on the solar cell performance are analyzed. Furthermore, we simulate the situation where the doping concentration changes with the absorption layer depth of the device and a special bandgap is formed. The power conversion efficiency of the device improves from 19.96% to 20.52%, with an open-circuit voltage of 0.776 V, a short-circuit current of 33.79 mA/cm2, and a filling factor of 77.39% when double gradient doping is performed. The application value of gradient doping in the device absorption layer is obtained.

Temperature-Dependent Structural and Transport Properties of Liquid Transition Metals

        Sui Yang,Xuping Su,Jianhua Wang,Nai-Yong Tang 대한금속·재료학회 2010 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.16 No.6

The evolution of the atomic structures and diffusivity of liquid transition metals with increasing temperature has been studied here using molecular dynamics. An analysis of Honeycutt and Andersen (HA) Indices indicates that relatively low order atomic clusters of rhombohedra-related structures increase with an increase in temperature. The results illustrate that the distortion in the local structural order with a predominant rhombohedra character enhances the diffusivity in liquid metals. The excess entropy approximated by the two-body contribution increases with the distortion of the local structural order traced by the HA Indices. The relationship between the excess entropy and the reduced diffusion coefficient supports the universal scaling law proposed by M. Dzugutov. The calculated diffusivities were compared with predictions of four diffusion models. The temperature dependence of the diffusivity cannot be described by the Arrhenius Law, the moving oscillator model or the free volume model but rather by the density fluctuation model with the square proportionality of temperature.

Effect of D-(+)-Glucose on the Stability of Polyvinyl Alcohol Fricke Hydrogel Three-Dimensional Dosimeter for Radiotherapy

        Yuejiao Yang,Jie Chen,Liming Yang,Bin Chen,Zhenmei Sheng,Wenyun Luo,Guoping Sui,Xun Lu,Jianxin Chen 한국원자력학회 2016 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.48 No.3

D-(+)-glucose (Glc) was added to the original Fricke polyvinyl alcoholeglutaraldehydeexylenol orange (FPGX) hydrogel dosimeter system to make a more stable FPGX hydrogelthree-dimensional dosimeter in this paper. Polyvinyl alcohol was used as a substrate, which was combined with Fricke solution. Various concentrations of Glc were tested withlinear relevant fitting for optimal hydrogel production conditions. The effects of variousformulations on the stability and sensitivity of dosimeters were evaluated. The resultsindicated that D-(+)-Glc, as a free radical scavenger, had a great effect on stabilizing thedose response related to absorbency and reducing the auto-oxidization of ferrous ions. Acareful doping with Glc could slow down the color change of the dosimeter before and afterradiation without any effect on the sensitivity of the dosimeter.

Expression of a Bacillus subtilis Endoglucanase in Protease-Deficient Bacillus subtilis Strains

        YANG, MI-JEONG,JUNG, SUN-HWA,SHIN, EUN-SUN,KIM, JUNGHO,YUN, HAN DAE,WONG, SUI-LAM,KIM, HOON 한국미생물 · 생명공학회 2004 Journal of microbiology and biotechnology Vol.14 No.2

Three extracellular protease-deficient Bacillus subtilis strains were transformed with the plasmid pCK98 containing the endo-β-l,4-glucanase (Eng) gene of B. suhtilis BSE616. The three transformants, B. subtilis DB 104 (pCK98), WB600 (pCK98) and WB700 (pCK98), produced the same high level of enzyme activity and showed similar patterns of cell growth and enzyme production. When B. subtilis DB104 (pCK98), a two-extracellular protease deficient strain, was cultured for 22 h, almost all the secreted enzyme was found to be in the completely cleaved form by both activity staining and Western blotting studies. B. subtilis WB600 (pCK98), a six- extracellular protease-deficient strain, produced a partially cleaved form in addition to the intact fonn of the enzyme, although the degree of internal cleavage of the enzyme was greatly reduced. With B. subtilis WB700 (pCK98), a seven-extracellular protease-deficient strain, almost all the enzyme was produced as the intact uncleaved form. This study illustrates that a role of the Vpr protease is to degrade foreign proteins produced in B. subtilis and WB700 is a suitable expression system for producing the intact form of the Eng and other foreign proteins that may lose at least part of their efficacy due to internal proteolytic cleavage.

      • Are p53 Antibodies a Diagnostic Indicator for Patients with Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma? Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Yang, Zhi-Cheng,Ling, Li,Xu, Zhi-Wei,Sui, Xiao-Dong,Feng, Shuang,Zhang, Jun Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2016 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.17 No.1

Background: P53 has been reported to be involved with tumorigenesis and has also been implicated as a significant biomarker in oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC). However, the diagnostic value of p53 antibodies remains controversial; hence, we comprehensively and quantitatively assessed the potential in the present systematic review. Materials and Methods: A comprehensive search was performed using PubMed and Embase, up to October 31, 2014, without language restriction. Studies were assessed for quality using QUADAS (quality assessment of studies of diagnostic accuracy). The positive likelihood ratio (PLR) and negative likelihood ratio (NLR) were pooled separately and compared with overall accuracy measures using diagnostic odds ratios (DORs) and symmetric summary receiver operating characteristic (SROC) curves. Results: Of 150 studies initially identified, 7 eligible regarding serum p53 antibodies met the inclusion criteria. Some 85.7% (6/7) were of relatively high quality (QUADAS $score{\geq}7$). The summary estimates for quantitative analysis of serum p53 antibody in the diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma were: PLR 2.06 [95% confidence interval (CI) : 1.35-3.15], NLR 0.85 (95%CI: 0.80-0.90) and DOR 2.47 (95%CI: 1.49-4.12). Conclusions: This meta-analysis suggests that the use of s-p53-antibodies has potential diagnostic value with relatively high sensitivity and specificity for OSCC particularly with serum specimens for discrimination of OSCCs from healthy controls. However, its discrimination power is not perfect because of low sensitivity.

Proteomic Approach Analysis of Mammary Membrane Proteins Expression Profiles in Holstein Cows

        Yang, Yong-xin,Cao, Sui-zhong,Zhang, Yong,Zhao, Xing-xu Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2009 Animal Bioscience Vol.22 No.6

To investigate host defense mechanisms for protecting the mammary gland from mastitis infection, the membrane fraction of mammary tissues from Holstein cows was purified by differential velocity centrifugation, and then the sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamid gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) separated proteins were identified by ion trap mass spectrometer equipped with a Surveyor high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) system. A total of 183 proteins were identified. Bioinformatics software was applied to analyse physicochemical characteristics of the identified proteins and to predict biochemical function. These data may provide valuable information to investigate the mechanisms of mammary gland milk secretion and infectious disease, and enable a clear identification of proteins and potential protein targets for therapies.

      • An Improved Modulation Scheme for Voltage Balancing in Modular Multilevel Converter

Sui, Shunke,Yang, Rongfeng,Xu, Dianguo The Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers 2014 The Journal of International Council on Electrical Vol.4 No.2

With the continuous development of power electronic technology toward the high voltage and high-power conversion, the Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) has attracted research attention. Since a large number of capacitors, voltage balancing problem becomes one of the key technologies of the MMC. To resolve the voltage balancing problem, this paper presents a novel voltage balancing modulation scheme, which control the instantaneous power of each sub-module timely by adjusting carriers offset in PWM, and the respective capacitor voltage could be stabilized at a set value. Simulation results based on MATLAB / SIMULINK environment are provided to testify to the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Seismic Analysis for Nuclear Power Safety Related Bridge

        Yang Zhou,Yi Sui,Xin Liu,Tao Gong 대한토목학회 2021 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.25 No.2

For the first time in China’s nuclear power industry, an in-plant emergency access bridge is proposed to be constructed. This bridge inside the nuclear power plants will serve as an important emergency evacuation route and as an access port for rescue operations in the power plant under potential accident conditions. Thus, the seismic safety of the bridge is a critical matter. This paper, which is based on a real engineering project, builds a refined finite element (FE) model for a continuous girder bridge-foundation structure. A seismic wave input method based on a nonlinear artificial boundary is used to suggest a reasonable size for a truncated foundation area for the purposes of dynamic simulations. The paper further discusses the influences of the nonlinear viscous artificial boundary and other various seismic wave input methods on the dynamic response of the bridge. Results show that compared to the traditional viscous artificial boundary, a nonlinear viscous artificial boundary has a better absorbing effect. The error of the bending moments at the bottom of piers improves from around 3.2% to around 1.9%. At the same time, compared to the “bottom wave + lateral free” and “bottom wave + lateral shear” of two seismic wave input methods, the nonlinear wave input method can generate results with higher accuracy. With the nonlinear input method, the error of the bending moment at the bottom of piers improves from around 13.7% to around 1.9%.

      • Blending of Soybean Oil with Selected Vegetable Oils: Impact on Oxidative Stability and Radical Scavenging Activity

        Li, Yang,Ma, Wen-Jun,Qi, Bao-Kun,Rokayya, Sami,Li, Dan,Wang, Jing,Feng, Hong-Xia,Sui, Xiao-Nan,Jiang, Lian-Zhou Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.6

Background: Soybean oil may protect against cancer of the breast and prostate. It may also exert beneficial influence in combination with other oils. Here, blends (20%, v/v) of sea buckthorn oil (SEBO), camellia oil (CAO), rice bran oil (RBO), sesame oil (SEO) and peanut oil (PEO) with soybean oil (SBO) were formulated. Materials and Methods: Oxidative stability (OS) and radical scavenging activity (RSA) of SBO and blends stored under oxidative conditions ($60^{\circ}C$) for 24 days were studied. By blending with different kinds oils, levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) decreased, while monounsaturated fatty acid (MUFA) content increased. Progression of oxidation was followed by measuring peroxide value (PV), p-anisidine (PAV), conjugated dienes (CD) and conjugated trienes (CT). Results: Inverse relationships were noted between PV and OS at termination of storage. Levels of CD and CT in SBO, and blends, increased with increase in time. The impact of SEO as additives on SBO oxidation was the strongest followed by RBO, CAO, SEBO and PNO. Conclusions: Oxidative stability of oil blends was better than SBO, most likely as a consequence of changes in fatty acids and tocopherols' profile, and minor bioactive lipids found in selected oils. The results suggest that these oil blends could contribute as sources of important antioxidant related to the prevention of chronic diseases associated to oxidative stress, such as in cancer and coronary artery disease.

      • Effect of Autophagy-Related Beclin1 on Sensitivity of Cisplatin-Resistant Ovarian Cancer Cells to Chemotherapeutic Agents

Sun, Yang,Liu, Jia-Hua,Jin, Long,Sui, Yu-Xia,Han, Li-Li,Huang, Yin Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2015 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.16 No.7

The purpose of the study was to determine the effects of autophagy related gene Beclin1 at different levels of expression on the sensitivity of cisplatin-resistant ovarian cancer cells (SKOV3/DDP) to different chemotherapeutics. In pSUPER-Beclin1 transfected cells, real-time fluorescence quantitative RT-PCR and Western blot analysis showed that expression was significantly inhibited. Flow cytometry revealed that the mean fluorescence intensity (MDC), reflecting autophagy, and cells in the G0/G1 phase were markedly reduced. When compared with the blank control group, inhibition of Beclin1 expression in SKOV3/DDP cells not only increased the rate of apoptosis following treatment with chemotherapeutics, but also increased the sensitivity. These findings suggest that Beclin1 expression plays an important role in chemotherapeutic agent-induced death of SKOV3/DDP cells. Inhibition of autophagy related gene Beclin1 expression in SKOV3/DDP cells may increase the rate of apoptosis and elevate the sensitivity to chemotherapeutics.
