The couple force of the scapular stabilizers for upward rotation that include the upper and lower trapezius, serratus anterior muscles is essential to maintain the stability of shoulder joint. But if there is and imbalance of these muscles, it would occur many problems of shoulder joint. A push-up plus exercise with an unstable support is used in order to increase the muscle activity and stimulate the proprioception of shoulder joint. The purpose of this study was to compare the muscle activity of upper and lower trapezius, serratus anterior muscles and to determine which exercise is more effective when subjects perform push-up plus exercise in the stable support and unstable support. 15 healthy subjects perform push-up plus exercise in the stable support and unstable support. 15 healthy subjects and 15 painful subjects with injury of shoulder joint participated in this study. Surface electromyography data were collected during plus phase of push-up plus exercise. The types of push-up plus exercise were composed of three conditions. Stable type is subjects performed the push-up plus exercise on the fixed support and unstable type 1 is on the sling without shaking and unstable type 2 is on the sling with shaking by tester's manual. The upper and lower trapezius activities of injured group were higher than uninjured group at three measure conditions, but serratus anterior activities were not. The UT/SA ratio of injured group was higher than uninjured group at three measure conditions. The serratus anterior activities were most high at unstable 2 measure in both groups. The UT/SA ratio was most low at unstable 2 measure condition in injured group only. The present result revealed that push-up plus exercise in the unstable support with shaking which took most high serratus anterior activities and most low of UT/SA ratio is optimal cure method that can improve the imbalance of the scapular stabilizer.

The main constituent of tea catechins, EGCG [(-)-Epigallocatechin-3-gallate], could inhibit the growth of various microorganisms and differently affect gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Antimicrobial activity of EGCG, a compound from green tea (Camellia sinensis) extract, against Cronobacter spp. and Salmonella spp. was studied to evaluate the possibility of using EGCG as a natural food additive in various dairy products. In pure TSB culture, the growth of Cronobacter spp. was suppressed below the detection limit (1 log CFU/mL) depending on EGCG concentration (600~800 μg/mL), after 5~16 days at 4℃. Similarly, the growth of Salmonella spp. was suppressed below the detection limit (1 log CFU/mL) depending on EGCG concentration (400~800 μg/mL), after 5~16 days at 4℃. Therefore, these results suggest that EGCG could be used as an effective additive to inhibit the growth of Cronobacter spp. and Salmonella spp. in various dairy products, such as yoghurt, cheese, dried infant powder, and so on.

Cylindrical phantom 에 $^{201}Tl$은 55.5 MBq (2 mCi), $^{99m}Tc$은 281.2 MBq (7.6 mCi), $^{131}I$은 96.2 MBq (2.66 mCi)를 주입하고 장비는 GE사의 Hawkeye 4 SPECT/CT를 사용하였다. Purpose: In this study, we evaluated the accuracy of CT-based attenuation correction (AC) under the conventional CT protocol (140 kVp, on average 50-60 keV) by comparing the SPECT image qualities of different energy of radioisotopes, $^{201}Tl,\;^{99m}Tc$ and $^{131}I$. Materials and Methods: Using a cylindrical phantom, three different SPECT scans of $^{201}Tl$ (70 keV, 55.5 MBq), $^{99m}Tc$ (140 keV, 281.2 MBq) and $^{131}I$ (364 keV, 96.2 MBq) were performed. The CT image was obtained with 140 kVp and 2.5 mA in GE Hawkeye 4. The OSEM reconstruction algorithm was performed with 2 iterations and 10 subsets. The experiments were performed in the 4 different conditions; non-AC and non-scatter correction (SC), only AC, only SC, AC and SC in terms of uniformity and center to peripheral ratio (CPR). Results: The uniformity was calculated from the uniform whole region in the reconstructed images. For $^{201}Tl$ and $^{99m}Tc$, the uniformities were improved by about 10-20% AC was applied, but these were decreased by about 2% as SC was applied. The uniformity of $^{131}I$ was slightly increased as both AC and SC were applied. The CPR of the reconstructed image was close to one, when AC was applied for $^{201}Tl$ and $^{99m}Tc$ scans and $^{131}I$ was distant from 1 and that is only AC. Conclusion: The image uniformity improved by AC on low energy likely to $^{201}Tl$ and $^{99m}Tc$. However, image uniformity of high energy such as $^{131}I$ was improved, when both AC and SC was applied.

Background: Interferon-${\gamma}$ assays based on tuberculosis (TB)-specific antigens have been utilized for diagnosing and ruling out latent TB and active TB, but their utility is still limited for TB incidence countries. The aim of this study is to understand the clinical utility of enzyme-linked immunospot (ELISpot) assays among patients with clinically suspected TB and healthy adults in clinical practices and community-based settings. Methods: The ELISpot assays (T SPOT.TB, Oxford Immunotec, UK) were prospectively performed in 202 patients. After excluding those with indeterminate results, 196 were included for analysis: 41 were TB patients, 93 were non-TB patients, and 62 were healthy adults. Results: The sensitivity and negative predictive values of the T SPOT.TB assays for the diagnosis of TB were 87.8% and 89.1%, respectively, among patients with suspected TB. The agreement between the tuberculin skin test (10-mm cutoff) and the T SPOT.TB assay was 66.1% (kappa=0.335) in all participants and 80.0% (kappa=0.412) in TB patients. Among those without TB (n=155), a past history of TB and fibrotic TB scar on chest X-rays were significant factors that yielded positive T SPOT.TB results. There was a significant difference in the magnitude of T SPOT.TB spot counts between TB patients and non-TB patients or healthy adults. Conclusion: The T SPOT.TB assay appeared to be a useful test for the diagnostic exclusion of TB. A positive result, however, should be cautiously interpreted for potential positives among those without active TB in intermediate TB incidence areas.
