        김광석의 음악세계에 새겨지는 껴안는 문화적 분위기로의 환기

        경계의 산책자로서 김광석은 청춘의 젊음에서 고뇌와 방황의 기억을 지속적으로 환기하며, 현재 살아있는 아우라로서 생동하게 한다. 김광석의 음악세계는 현대인에게 세대를 넘어서는 보편적인 공감대-청춘의 경계에서 사랑과 이별-의 기저에서 함께 산책하는 환기와 여과의 반향으로 고양하는 초점으로 지속적으로 환기하는 점에서 중요하다. 김광석 노래의 중요성은 누구나 겪는 청춘의 경계에서 라푼첼의 눈뜸처럼 방황의 산책을 지속적으로 환기하는 분위기에 있다. 즉 그의 음악은 젊음이 예민한 경계에서의 산책을 관조하며, 과거의 잊혀진 기억과 꿈을 현재 새롭게 환기하고 있다. 이러할 때 의미없는 시간대의 단층들은 시간의 향기로서 감싸안는 껴안음의 세계이다. 김광석의 거리는 비정도시와 대조적으로 젊은 날의 사랑과 아픔의 공감대에서 현대인에게 우연히 김광석의 골목길에 들어서면 경쾌한 감각과 충일한 정서로서 회복하는 헤테로토피아의 장소성을 환기하고 있다. 바로 여기에서 김광석의 음악세계와 김광석 거리의 장소성은 세대를 초월하여 모든 세대들이 공감하고 함께 산책할 수 있는 지속적인 관조와 환기로 껴안게 한다. 바로 여기에서 김광석의 음악세계와 김광석 거리의 장소성은 우리에게 공동의 운명으로, 아름다움의 구원으로, 시간의 향기로 그리고 그리움의 미학으로 새롭게 태어나게 한다. ‘Kim Gwangseok as the border stroller’ continuously stirs up the memory of anguish and wandering of the youth and vitalizes it as the ‘alive aura’ at present. The music world of Kim Gwangseok is important as it continuously stirs up and provokes in the focus of direction toward the inducement as ‘walking together’ and reverberation of filtration on the basis of general bond of sympathy-love and separation on the border of youth- beyond the generation for the people living in these times. The importance of the songs by Kim Gwangseok is the mood continuously stirring up the ‘stroll of wandering’ like enlightenment of Rapunzel on the border of youthwhich everyone experiences. In other words, his music newly stirs up the forgotten memory and dream of the past as contemplating the stroll on the sensitive border of the youth. In such mood, the strata of meaningless times is the world which embraces the ‘scent of the times’ The ‘Street of Kim Gwangseok’ stirs up the ‘Placeness of Heterotopias’ restoring pleasant senses and affluent emotions when the people inmodern times accidentally enter into the Alley of Kim Gwangseok with the sympathy on love and pains of youth which is contrary to the heartless city. At this point, the music world of Kim Gwangseok makes embrace the power of continuous contemplation and inducement which all generations can sympathize and stroll together.         조선전기 전의현의 안동김씨 문중 인물과 그 사회적 위상

        이 글은 조선전기 충청도 전의현의 안동김씨 문중을 대상으로 주요 인물의 역사적 가치를 제고하는 한편, 당시 문중이 지녔던 지역사적 위상을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 세종-세조 연간에 두각을 보인 주요 인물의 정치ㆍ사회적 활동을 집중적으로 살펴보고, 그들과 연혼관계에 있었던 인물을 구체적으로 추적했다. 그 결과 고려말 전의현에 입향한 이래로 15세기에 이르러 김익정과 김수녕 등 세종과 세조의 측근으로서 왕의 신임을 받으며 중앙정계에서 활약한 인물들을 배출했다. 특히 그간 효자로 알려진 김익정은 1420년에 주조한 금속활자인 경자자의 제작을 감독한 인물로서 세종대 인쇄문화사에 있어서 주목해야 함을 밝혔다. 이 글을 단초로 역사인물의 발굴과 함께 지역학 연구의 활성화가 이루어지기를 기대한다. The objectives of this thesis are to enhance the historical value of central figures targeting Andong Kim clan in Chonui-hyon, Chungcheong-do in the early Joseon Dynasty, and also to examine the local-historical status of the clan of the time. For this, this study intensively examined the political/social activities of prominent major figures during the reign of King Sejong and King Sejo, and also concretely traced the figures in marriage-based relationships with them. As a result, this study could produce the figures like Kim Ik-Jeong and Kim Su-Nyeong who actively performed in the central political world by having the king’s confidence as a close person to King Sejong and King Sejo in the 15th century after entering Chonui-hyon in the end of Goryeo Dynasty. Especially, Kim Ik-Jeong who is known as a filial son is the one who supervised the production of a metal type ‘Gyeongjaja’ casted in the 1420s, so he should be paid attention in the history of printing culture during the reign of King Sejong. This thesis should be the beginning of the discovery of historical figures and the vitalization of researches on area studies.

        The Experiences of Mother's of Children with Epilepsy

        This is qualitative research using grounded theory to examine the experiences that mothers of children with epilepsy can have. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and memo-taking with a total of 13 participants in this study-10 mothers taking care of children with epilepsy and 3 principal informants-and the data were analyzed using the method developed by Strauss and Corbin (1998). As a result of data analysis, 163 concepts, 26 subcategories and 8 categories were formed through open coding. Such categories were analyzed by the paradigm of the grounded theory, and as a result the experiences of the mothers of epileptic children were based on a causal condition of 'confrontation' and the central phenomenon of 'Wandering around the forest under a yoke'. The contextual conditions, which exerted influence on phenomena, were 'stigma cognition', 'personality traits' and 'health of children.' The action/interaction strategy selected by participants was 'Quietly pulling through: Bracing myself, Getting to know my enemy and myself, Taking care while hiding, Putting out one step at a time, Establishing a foothold. The intervening condition affecting action/interaction was 'the support system', and its result was 'watching.'

      • PTP1B inhibitory activity of kaurane diterpenes isolated from <i>Siegesbeckia glabrescens</i>

        <P>Protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) is considered as a therapeutic target for the treatment of diabetes and obesity. In our preliminary screening study, a MeOH extract of the aerial part of <I>Siegesbeckia glabrescens</I> was found to inhibit PTP1B activity at 30 μg/mL. Bioassay‐guided fractionation led to the isolation of two active diterpenes, <I>ent</I>-16&bgr;H,17-isobutyryloxy-kauran-19-oic acid (<B>1</B>) and <I>ent</I>-16&bgr;H,17-acetoxy-18-isobutyryloxy-kauran-19-oic acid (<B>2</B>), along with <I>ent</I>-16&bgr;H,17-hydroxy-kauran-19-oic acid (<B>3</B>). Compounds <B>1</B> and <B>2</B> inhibited the PTP1B activity with IC<SUB>50</SUB> values of 8.7 ± 0.9 and 30.6 ± 2.1 μM, respectively. Kinetic studies suggest that both <B>1</B> and <B>2</B> are non-competitive inhibitors of PTP1B. However, compound <B>3</B> substituted with a hydroxyl group at C-17 in kaurane-type showed no inhibitory effects towards PTP1B.</P>

      • Impulsivity and compulsivity in Internet gaming disorder: A comparison with obsessive–compulsive disorder and alcohol use disorder

        <P><B>Background and aims</B></P><P>Internet gaming disorder (IGD) is characterized by a loss of control and a preoccupation with Internet games leading to repetitive behavior. We aimed to compare the baseline neuropsychological profiles in IGD, alcohol use disorder (AUD), and obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) in the spectrum of impulsivity and compulsivity.</P><P><B>Methods</B></P><P>A total of 225 subjects (IGD, <I>N</I> = 86; AUD, <I>N</I> = 39; OCD, <I>N</I> = 23; healthy controls, <I>N</I> = 77) were administered traditional neuropsychological tests including Korean version of the Stroop Color–Word test and computerized neuropsychological tests, including the stop signal test (SST) and the intra–extra dimensional set shift test (IED).</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>Within the domain of impulsivity, the IGD and OCD groups made significantly more direction errors in SST (<I>p</I> = .003, <I>p</I> = .001) and showed significantly delayed reaction times in the color–word reading condition of the Stroop test (<I>p</I> = .049, <I>p</I> = .001). The OCD group showed the slowest reading time in the color–word condition among the four groups. Within the domain of compulsivity, IGD patients showed the worst performance in IED total trials measuring attentional set shifting ability among the groups.</P><P><B>Conclusions</B></P><P>Both the IGD and OCD groups shared impairment in inhibitory control functions as well as cognitive inflexibility. Neurocognitive dysfunction in IGD is linked to feature of impulsivity and compulsivity of behavioral addiction rather than impulse dyscontrol by itself.</P>

      • Improvement of electrical blood hematocrit measurements under various plasma conditions using a novel hematocrit estimation parameter

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>This paper presents an electrical method for measurement of Hematocrit (HCT) using a novel HCT estimation parameter. Particularly in the case of electrical HCT measurements, the measurement error generally increases with changes in the electrical conditions of the plasma such as conductivity and osmolality. This is because the electrical properties of blood are a function not only of HCT, but also of the electrical conditions in the plasma. In an attempt to reduce the measurement errors, we herein propose a novel HCT estimation parameter reflecting the characteristics of both the changes in volume of red blood cells (RBCs) and electrical conditions of plasma, simultaneously. In order to characterize the proposed methods under various electrical conditions of plasma, we prepared twelve blood samples such as four kinds of plasma conditions (hypotonic, isotonic, two kinds of hypertonic conditions) at three different HCT levels. Using linear regression analysis, we confirmed that the proposed parameter was highly correlated with reference HCT (HCT<SUB>ref.</SUB>) values measured by microcentrifugation. Thus, the HCT measurement error was less than 4%, despite considerable variations in the conductivity and osmolality of the plasma at conditions of the HCT<SUB>ref.</SUB> of 20%. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the proposed HCT estimation parameter also yielded a lower measurement error (1%) than the other parameter previously used for the same purpose. Thus, these preliminary results suggest that proposed method could be used for accurate, fast, easy, and reproducible HCT measurements in medical procedures.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P>▸ We propose an electrical measurement method of blood hematocrit (HCT) within a 3D type measurement cell based on a novel parameter. ▸ The proposed parameter is independent of the electrical conditions (conductivity, osmolality) of blood plasma and this method dramatically reduces (<1%) a HCT measurement error compared with the ones previous reported electrical HCT measurement methods (2.5–16.3%). ▸ Thus we believe that the demonstrated method in this paper is promising one for accurate, fast, easy, and reproducible HCT measurements.</P>

        Onset Date of Forest Canopy Detected from MODIS Leaf Area Index

        The timing of the canopy phenology onset (CPO hereafter) indicates the initiation of the growing season, with rapid increases in exchange rates of carbon dioxide and water vapor between vegetation and atmosphere. The CPO is regarded as a potential indicator of ecosystem responses to global warming, but the CPO shows considerable spatial variation depending on the species composition and local temperature regime at a given geographic location. In this study, we evaluated the utility of satellite observation data for detection of the timing of the CPO. Leaf area indices (LAI) obtained from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) were utilized to detect and map the onset dates from 2001 to 2006. The reliability of MODISbased onset dates was evaluated with ground measured cherry blossom flowering data from national weather stations. The MODIS onset dates preceded the observed flowering dates by 8 days and were linearly related with a correlation coefficient of 0.58 (p < 0.05). In spite of the coarse spatial (1 km) and temporal (8 days) resolutions of MODIS LAI, the MODIS-based onset dates showed reasonable ability to predict flowering dates.
