      • A Review of Decarburization Resistant Coating on Cast Steel at High Temperature

        Decarburization of steels often occurs during the heat treatment procedures, such as reheating of base material, hot rolling, and annealing, in which, the resulting loss of carbon elements degrades the mechanical properties, by way of reduction of tensile strength, worsening of ductility, and development of cracks, etc. It is well known that the typical decarburization is attributed to the diffusion and oxidation elimination of carbon atoms taking place in solid solution, producing non uniform carbon distribution. In order to reduce severe decarburization, coating method has been used to reduce the carbon loss during high temperature treatment of steel. A few efforts were made to impede the decarburization of steel substrates. M. Torkar et al. applied a waste cyclone powder on AISI 1059 steel to reduce the oxidation and decarburization of the steel during the reheating for hot rolling, but the coating could only reduce decarburization above 1200℃. A.M. Medvedev et al. created a barrier protective layer formed from the gas phase on the surface of the steel parts to protect iron-carbon alloys from high-temperature corrosion, but the process was complex and the equipment was expensive. Therefore, it is imperative to develop a simple, economic, and convenient anti-decarburization coating technique, applicable for industrial environment.

        Effects of Water-Soluble Ganoderma lucidum Polysaccharides on the Immune Funtions of Patients with Advanced Lung Cancer

        Preclinical studies have established that the polysaccharide fractions of Ganoderma lucidumhave potential an-titumor activity. Recent clinical studies have demonstrated that G. lucidumpolysaccharides enhance host immune functions[e.g., enhanced natural killer (NK) cell activity] in patients with advanced solid tumors, although an objective response wasnot observed. This open-label study aimed to evaluate the effects of water-soluble G. lucidumpolysaccharides (Ganopoly??,Encore International Corp., Auckland, New Zealand) on immune functions in patients with advanced lung cancer. Thirty-sixpatients were enrolled and treated with 5.4 g/day Ganopoly for 12 weeks. In the 30 cancer patients who completed the trial,treatment with Ganopoly did not significantly alter the mean mitogenic reactivity to phytohemagglutinin, mean counts of CD3,CD4, CD8, and CD56, mean plasma concentrations of interleukin (IL)-2, IL-6, and interferon (IFN)-., or NK activity in thepatients, but the results were significantly variable. However, some cancer patients demonstrated markedly modulated im-mune functions. The changes in IL-1 were correlated with those for IL-6, IFN-., CD3, CD8, and NK activity (P. .05), andIL-2 changes were correlated with those for IL-6, CD8, and NK activity. The results suggest that subgroups of cancer patientsmight be responsive to Ganopoly in combination with chemotherapy/radiotherapy. Further studies are needed to explore theefficacy and safety of Ganopoly used alone or in combination with chemotherapy/radiotherapy in lung cancer patients.

        This paper analysis the electric power communication network structure and performance requirements. To investigate the power communication backbone network and network power substation general way, and in electric power communication network delay, error rate, network bandwidth demand were analyzed. The for prevalent in electric power communication network is not a fully meshed network, explore artificially cobweb logic change principle and system method, artificial transform sheet mesh to the standard web, and making use of the cobweb, based on the characteristics of network fast routing. In order to better in the smart grid communication network using artificially cobweb routing algorithm, for the smart grid in the presence of irregular mesh network, this paper presents a kind of the mesh network into logical artificially cobweb network general standardization method. The principle of combination of label switching, this paper presents artificially cobweb source routing algorithm, expounds the artificially cobweb routing algorithm of label switching and label update mechanism, and artificially cobweb routing algorithm balancing routing method and routing method is described in detail.

        Stabilization of iron-arsenic deposits by encapsulation with montmorillonite inorganic gels

        Encapsulation is recognized as an effective technique for enhancing the stability of hazardous waste by coating it with an inert material. In this work, an eco-friendly montmorillonite (Mt) inorganic gel with the characteristics of high viscosity, adsorption and easy preparation was developed and coated on the surface of iron-arsenic deposits (IAD) to restrain the release of arsenic (As). The encapsulation system investigated involves Mt/IAD mass ratio and aging temperature of the coated iron-arsenic deposits (C-IAD). The C-IAD was characterized by XRF, XRD, SEM-EDS, TEM, FTIR and BET. The results revealed that the IAD was completely encapsulated by the montmorillonite inorganic gel. From the experiment of stability, when IAD was coated with montmorillonite inorganic gel (Mt/IAD mass ratio 0.75) and aged at 25℃, As release decreased from 3.15 mg/L to 0.64 mg/L at pH 5 after 24 h, and then dropped to 0.11 mg/L after 7 d. Furthermore, the results indicated that the IAD encapsulated with montmorillonite inorganic gel was effective in suppressing the release of As under both weakly acidic and alkaline conditions.
