Spindle-like CaCO3 crystals with controllable sizes for papermaking were successfully prepared using CO2 (8% CO2/N2 mixture gas) and calcium carbide residue (CCR) waste, a by-product of acetylene gas and polyvinyl chloride production, as the raw materials by an atomization method at room temperature. The influences of solution concentration, reaction temperature, and gas/liquid flow rate ratios on the properties of the CaCO3 crystal were systematically investigated, and a possible atomization mechanism was proposed. The size of the as-prepared CaCO3 crystal with pure calcite phase was turned from 4.71×4.02 μm to 1.82×1.12 μm by adjusting the reaction conditions. The application of the as-prepared CaCO3 crystals from CCR waste as a filler for papermaking was explored. The R475 blue light whiteness of paper was increased from 77.3 to 80.6 with 11.4% CaCO3 crystals

PURPOSE This research establishes a reasonable research model to investigate the relationship between the perceived risks, mitigating factors, and travel intentions of potential visitors to the Olympic Games under the COVID-19 epidemic environment. And examine the mediating role of mitigating factors between perceived risk and travel intention. METHOD This study conducted two online surveys with Chinese athletes as the survey subject, divided into two samples for the Tokyo Olympics and the Beijing Olympics. The data analysis process is divided into two stages. In the first stage, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) is used to test the reliability and validity of the scale. In the second stage, structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis is used to test the proposed hypothesis. Finally, the data test results of the two samples are compared. RESULT After the CFA test, the data fit well with the model, and the model had good combination reliability and convergence validity. On this basis, a structural equation model was established, and the mediation validity of the model was tested. CONCLUSION The results show that risk perception has a significant effect on mitigating factors, and mitigating factors have very significant positive effects on behavioral intentions. Mitigating factors mediate between risk perception and behavioral intentions.

The effect of in situ thermal stretching during oxidative stabilization on the orientation of cyclized ladder structure was investigated. Based on the structure evolution of PAN fibers with the increasing stabilization temperatures, the stabilization process was classified into three different stages, namely before the onset of cyclization, during cyclization in amorphous region, and during cyclization in crystalline region. The polyacrylonitrile (PAN) precursor fibers were stretched at the three stages with stretching ratios from 0 % to 8 % during continuous stabilization process. The results show that the orientation degree of cyclized ladder structure increases with the increase of stretching ratio at the three stages and the maximum orientation efficiency of cyclized ladder structure is obtained when PAN fibers are stretched at the stage of during cyclization in crystalline region. The orientation of resulting carbon fibers strongly depends on the orientation degree of cyclized ladder structure. The orientation efficiency of turbostratic graphite crystallite also agrees well with that of cyclized ladder structure. Meanwhile, the orientation efficiency of turbostratic graphite crystallite is higher than that of cyclized ladder structure and the difference values between orientation efficiency of the two structures decrease firstly then increase with the increase of degree of cyclization.

Background: Functional single nucleotide polymorphisms of x-ray repair cross-complementing protein 1 (XRCC1) have been suspected to contribute to uterine cervical cancer risk for a long time; however, most previous case-control studies were small sized and biased. Additionally, recent studies suggested that XRCC1 polymorphisms could be a biomarker of response to platinum-based chemotherapy. Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted to retrieve eligible studies and odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (95% CIs) were calculated to measure association strength. Results: A total of 13 studies were identified and analyzed. We found that the Arg194Trp polymorphism (Trp vs. Arg, OR=1.342, 95% CI: 1.176) was associated with increased risk of cervical cancer, while no significant association was found with Arg280His (His vs. Arg, OR=1.059, 95% CI: 0.863, 1.299) or Arg399Gln (Gln vs. Arg, OR=1.144, 95% CI: 0.938, 1.394). As for response to platinum-based chemotherapy, the variant XRCC1 399Gln allele (Gln vs. Arg, OR=0.345, 95% CI: 0.163, 0.729) was linked with a poor response; however, the Arg194Trp polymorphism (TrpArg vs. ArgArg, OR=6.421, 95% CI: 1.573, 26.205) predicted a good response. Conclusion: The Arg194Trp polymorphism of XRCC1 increases risk of cervical cancer; the variant 399Gln allele predicts poor response to platinum-based chemotherapy, while the Arg194Trp polymorphism indicates a good response.

In order to analyze the characteristics of propeller exciting force, the hybrid grid is adopted and the numerical prediction of KCS ship model is performed for hullepropellererudder system by Reynolds-Averaged Navier Stokes (RANS) method and volume of fluid (VOF) model. Firstly, the numerical simulation of hydrodynamics for bare hull at oblique state is carried out. The results show that with the increasing of the drift angle, the coefficients of resistance, side force and yaw moment are constantly increasing, and the bigger the drift angle, the worse the overall uniformity of propeller disk. Then, propeller bearing force for hullepropellererudder system in oblique flow is calculated. It is found that the propeller thrust and torque fluctuation coefficient peak in drift angle are greater than that in straight line navigation, and the negative drift angle is greater than the positive. The fluctuation peak variation law of coefficient of side force and bending moment are different due to various causes.
Enhance photoelectric efficiency of PV by optical-thermal management of nanofilm reflector

Crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells have advantages of zero pollution, large scale and high reliability. A major challenge is that sunlight wavelength with photon energy lower than semiconductor band gap is converted into heat and increase its temperature and reduce its conversion efficiency. Traditional cooling PV method is using water flowing below the modules to cool down PV temperature. In this paper, the idea is proposed to reduce the temperature of the module and improve the energy conversion efficiency of the module through the modulation of the solar spectrum. A spectrally selective nanofilm reflector located directly on the surface of PV is designed, which can reflect sunlight wavelength with low photon energy, and even enhance absorption of sunlight wavelength with high photon energy. The results indicate that nanofilm reflector can reduce spectral reflectivity integral from 9.0% to 6.93% in 400~1100 nm wavelength range, and improve spectral reflectivity integral from 23.1% to 78.34% in long wavelength range. The nanofilm reflector can reduce temperature of PV by 4.51℃ and relatively improved energy conversion efficiency of PV by 1.25% when solar irradiance is 1000 W/m<sup>2</sup>. Furthermore, the nanofilm reflector is insensitive in sunlight's angle and polarization state, and be suitable for high irradiance environment.

A facile and effective method has been developed for the synthesis of a novel series of benzofuran derivatives via N-acylation, O-alkylation and intramolecular condensation reactions, starting from readily available substituted o-hydroxy aryl ketone, and chloroacetyl arylamides. This metal-free transition process is characterized by mild reaction conditions, atom economy, short reaction time and a high yield with a decreased amount of by-products.

An internal helical gear pair with point contact pattern based on the space meshing theory is proposed which consists of an involute internal gear and a pinion with quadratic curve profile. Particularly, the contact path of the tooth surface is selectable, which can inherit the characteristic of the surface. Moreover, this type of internal gear pair has lower sensitivity to assembly errors. The generation principle and mathematical model is presented. The motion simulation and adaptability to center distance error of the internal gear pair are discussed. The gear pair is manufactured. Based on the mathematical model and tooth contact analysis (TCA) method, the locations of contact points and kinematic errors are determined under different center distance variation and axial misalignments. The simulated results reveal that the locations of contact points of the gear and pinion change under assembly errors. Little kinematic error occurs under axial misalignment. No edge contact occurs under any assembly error condition. Experiment study is performed and the result is consistent with the theoretical analysis.

Hawthorn (CFS) has commonly been applied as an important traditional Chinese medicine and food for thousands of years. The raw material of CFS is commonly processed by stir-frying to obtain yellow (CFY), dark brown (CFD), and carbon dark (CFC) colored products, which are used for different clinical uses. In this study, an intelligent sensory system (ISS) was used to obtain the color, gas, and flavor samples data, which were further employed to develop a novel and accurate method for the identification of CFS and its processed products using principal component analysis. Moreover, this research developed a model of an artificial neural network, which could be used to predict the total organic acid, total flavonoids, citric acid, hyperin, and 5-hydroxymethyl furfural via determination of the color, odor, and taste of a sample. In conclusion, the ISS and the artificial neural network are useful tools for rapid, accurate, and effective discrimination of CFS and its processed products.
