Severity of COVID-19 Pneumonia in Kidney Transplant Recipients According to SARS-CoV-2 Vaccination

We reviewed 24 kidney transplantat recipients (KTRs) who had radiologically confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pneumonia. Enrolled KTRs were divided into a severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)-vaccination (+) group (n = 18) and a vaccination (-) group (n = 6). Clinical outcomes of the two groups including death, pulmonary outcome, and renal outcome were compared. COVID-19 pneumonia was worse in vaccination (-) KTRs. Two out of six vaccination (-) KTRs needed continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) and mechanical ventilator (MV) and expired. In contrast, only one KTR expired and required CRRT and MV out of 18 vaccination (+) KTRs. Our results suggest that SARS-CoV-2 vaccination attenuates severity of COVID-19 pneumonia in KTRs.

QR codes, one of the ways to convey information, can contain a lot of information, but there are security problems such as Qshing(QR Code Phishing). QR codes with added security functions are needed to prevent security problems caused by malicious QR codes such as Qshing. Therefore, In this paper, we propose a secure QR code scanning system using Format-Preserving Encryption. In the proposed system, the QR codes are encrypted and decrypted in the process of generating and scanning. After generating the encrypted QR code, the encryption key is delivered to the database of the scanned server and used to scan the QR code. In the proposed system, QR codes are encrypted in the process of generation, thereby preventing hacking caused by malicious QR codes and preventing the forgery of publicly exposed QR codes to improve integrity and confidentiality. In addtion, it shows similar performance compared to general QR code scanning systems.

<P>We study qualitative properties of solutions to the fractional Lane-Emden-Fowler equations with slightly subcritical exponents where the associated fractional Laplacian is defined in terms of either the spectra of the Dirichlet Laplacian or the integral representation. As a consequence, we classify the asymptotic behavior of all finite energy solutions. Our method also provides a simple and unified approach to deal with the classical (local) Lane-Emden-Fowler equation for any dimension >2.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We consider the Lane-Emden system [FORMULA OMISSION] where Ω is a smooth bounded domain in <SUP> R n </SUP> for n ≥ 3 and 0 < p < q < ∞ . The asymptotic behavior of least energy solutions near the critical hyperbola was studied by Guerra when p ≥ 1 and the domain is convex. In this paper, we cover all the remaining cases p < 1 and extend the results to arbitrary smooth bounded domains.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We propose an intelligent system that can recognize drowsiness during daily life with the use of EEG measurements in the ear canal in combination with conventional photoplethysmography (PPG) and electrocardiography (ECG). The physiological signals for classification by machine learning were measured during the sustained attention task of simulated driving. The features were sorted by their degree of importance using three types of ranking filters and the combined information. The effect of the feature size of the biological signals on machine learning was evaluated by determining the mean squared error. The classifications were conducted with various datasets and dataset lengths that were obtained from the same biological signals considering the transitional traits of drowsiness. The statistical measures of the performance of the classifications using machine learning indicated that the system based on the ear canal EEG data and the physiological attribute data was excellent. The feature selection process with the composite ranking algorithm using multiple ranking methods improved the classification performance. The nonlinear features were highly selective among the physiological attributes for the intelligent recognition of drowsiness.</P>
A New Decoding and Cell Selection Method for a PoRAM Sensing

This paper propose a new decoding method and cell selection method using the switch for a PoRAM cell. The designed row-decoder operated as a 2- stage pre-decoder, and a master/salve D-F/F was inserted at the end of the decoder to eliminate glitch noise. The newly column-decoder structure is the same row-decoder but selected line applied low voltage. And MOS-switches are attached to the input port of each memory cell to select the proper line. The method generates the voltage drop of the selected cell that cell current flows to the sense amplifier input. This switch controls cell selection and current path for the memory cell sensing.

Objectives This study aimed to investigate the effect of SJS non-resistance technique- facial palsy (SJSNRT-F) using Korean medicine treatment on facial nerve palsy through three case studies. Methods SJSNRT-F, with other Korean medicine treatments, was performed on three patients who underwent treatment at OO Korean Medicine Hospital from March 2021 to August 2021. Additionally, the House-Brackmann grading system (H-B grade) and Yanagihara s unweighted grading system (Yanagihara s score) were evaluated in these patients. Results There was a significant increase in the Yanagihara scores. Except for one patient who was discharged early, two patients showed improvement in the H-B grade. Conclusions This study suggests that Korean medicine treatment including SJSNRTF may affect the treatment of facial nerve palsy. However, better clinical studies are needed to confirm the same.
