A 7-month old, castrated male Shih-tzu dog was referred to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital of Chungnam National University with history of depression, dyspnea, mild scale, tachypnea, exercise intolerance and severe leanness. On physical examination, cardiac arrhythmias was heard and heart worm ELISA test was positive. Microfilaria was found on the direct blood smear. Survey radiographs showed loss of diaphragmatic line and cardiac silhouette, displacement of lung fields and presence of gas filled intestines in the thoracic cavity. Rib fracture and pelvic fracture with callus formation were found incidentally. On the basis of physical examination and radiographic findings, it was diagnosed as traumatic diaphragmatic hernia and heart worm disease. Herniorrhaphy was performed. Postoperatively, it was treated for heart worm disease and scale. There is no evidence of recurrence of diaphragmatic hernia and heart worm disease over 1 year.
중증 세균 감염 및 내성균에 대한 Fosfomycin의 치료효과

A Clinical study for the therapeutic effect of Fosfomycin was made in 20 cases with the severe infection and the resistent organisms against the other antibiotics. Fosfomycin was administered intravenously 2-4 gm daily in two divided for an average of 13.1 days. The overall effectiveness was 90% without any significant side effect and the effectiveness for the resistant organisms(13 cases) against the other antibiotics was 84.6%. These results demonstrated that Fosfomycin can be used effectively in the treatment of the severe infection and the resistant organisms against the other antibiotics.

근접장의 특성과 근접장 마이크로파 현미경의 배경이론을 설명하였고 유전체 공진기 제작에 앞서 HFSS (high frequency structure simulator)를 이용한 모의 시뮬레이션을 기술하였다. 이것을 바탕으로 원통형 유전체 공진기를 제작하여 금속탐침과 결합한 근접장 마이크로파 현미경(near field scanning microwave microscope : NSMM)을 구성하였다. 제작한 유전체 공진기의 특성은 HFSS를 이용하여 모의 실험한 결과와 비교하였다. Tip의 기하학적 모양에 따른 공간분해능과 감도(sensitivity)를 연구하였고 contrast가 가장 좋은 hybrid tip을 개발하였다. 전도도가 서로 다른 금속시료에 따른 NSMM의 반사계수의 변화를 측정하였고 실험결과와 이론적 시료의 임피던스를 비교하였다. 마지막으로 유전체 공진기를 이용한 NSMM으로 공간 분해능이 1μm의 Cr과 NiFe 패턴의 이미지를 비접촉, 비파괴방법으로 얻었다. We described a near-field scanning microwave microscope which uses a high-quality dielectric resonator with a tunable screw. The operating frequency is f = 4.5 5 GHz. The probe tip is mounted in a cylindrical resonant cavity coupled to a dielectric resonator. We developed a hybrid tip combining a reduced length of the tapered part with a small apex. In order to understand the function of the probe, we fabricated three different tips using a conventional chemical etching techique and observed three different NSMM images for patterened Cr films on glass substrates. We measured the reflection coefficient of different metal thin film samples with the same thickness of 300 nm and compared with theoretical impedance respectly. By tuning the tunable screw coming through the top cover, we could improve sensitivity, signal-to-noise ratio, and spatial resolution to better than 1μm. To demonstrate the ability of local microwave characterization, the surface resistance of metallic thin films has been mapped.

Renewable energy sources reduce irresponsible carbon emissions and have the advantage of being located close to the load as a distributed generation (DG). Thus, various studies have examined the optimal placement and capacity of DG to maximize their eff ect on power grids. However, there was no paper that considered the normalized cost including the fault current in the process of the optimal allocation of DG. The reason that the normalized fault current cost should be included in objective function is that the more DG is connected to the network, the higher fault current will fl ow. Thus, this paper presents a method of optimizing the DG placement and capacity from a novel perspective using normalized costs that minimize the fault current. For this purpose, this study incorporates the particle swarm optimization method to the Newton–Raphson power-fl ow calculation and the sequence network decomposition methods. The proposed normalized cost function includes not only voltage variations determined by the power-fl ow method, installation costs, and power losses but also fault current determined by the sequence method. As a result, the objective function of the new design, adding the normalized fault current cost, enables the solution set to be more optimal than the previous solution set.

) Background : Insect pests damages are increasing on the field of Lycium chinense under eco-friendly organic management and especially, pest damage of Gelechiidae (Ilseopsis parki Povolny) is serious. Currently, various eco-friendly organic materials are registered, but insecticidal activity against Gelechiidae was not verified. Therefore, this experiment was carried out to select eco-friendly organic materials showing insecticidal activity in Gelechiidae. Methods and Results : To test insecticidal activity, the Gelechiidae lavas were collected from the field and Nine eco-friendly organic materials were collected from the market. method. The insecticidal activity assay method was, putting Gelechiidae lavas on the 90mm petridish then water-diluted eco-friendly organic materials were sprayed onto the laver. Result of insecticidal activity was observed with a microscope 10 minutes, 2 hours and 18 hours after the treatment. Microscopic observation results, insecticidal activity was shown only in 5 out of 9 materials. Conclusion : As a result, Insecticidal activity against Gelechiidae was not effective in all tested materials, but the 5 eco-friendly organic materials showed the same effect in repeated experiments. In this study, we selected 5 materials out of 9 eco-friendly organic materials against Gelechiidae, then future studies are planned to select the most suitable materials by field testing the 5 eco-friendly organic materials.
