The purpose of this paper is to develop a software tool, PGA-CC (Projection of hydrology via Grid-based Assessment for Climate Change) to evaluate the present hydrologic cycle and the future watershed hydrology by climate change. PGA-CC is composed of grid-based input data pre-processing module, hydrologic cycle calculation module, output analysis module, and output data post-processing module. The grid-based hydrological model was coded by Fortran and compiled using Compaq Fortran 6.6c, and the Graphic User Interface was developed by using Visual C#. Other most elements viz. Table and Graph, and GIS functions were implemented by MapWindow. The applicability of PGA-CC was tested by assessing the future hydrology of South Korea by HadCM3 SRES B1 and A2 climate change scenarios. For the whole country, the tool successfully assessed the future hydrological components including input data and evapotranspiration, soil moisture, surface runoff, lateral flow, base flow etc. From the spatial outputs, we could understand the hydrological changes both seasonally and regionally.
보수시기를 고려한 염해에 노출된 콘크리트 교각의 탄소량 평가

본 연구에서는 탄소배출 평가기법을 이용한 자재생산단계, 운송단계, 시공단계 뿐 아니라 보수시기 및 보수단위 탄소량을 고려하여 콘크리트 교각의 탄소배출량을 평가하였다. 혼화재료를 포함한 4가지 배합이 고려되었고 Life 365를 이용하여 염화물 침투를 평가하였으며, 이에 따른 보수횟수 및 보수시기를 설정하였다. 또한 목표내구수명동안 구조물의 피복두께를 걷어내어 재타설한 경우와 재타설 후 잔존염화물량을 제거하기 위한 전기화학적 공정의 사용유무에 따른 탄소배출량을 평가하였다. 평가결과 높은 물-결합재비를 가진 배합은 초기 시공단계에서의 탄소량은 상대적으로 적지만 보수횟수의 증가에 따라 탄소량이 증가하였으며, 탈염공법이 적용되는 경우 보수시의 단위 탄소량에 따라 전과정 탄소량이 크게 증가하였다. 보수횟수에 따라 탄소량의 증가가 발생하는데, W/B37-OPC의 경우 9번, W/B50-OPC에서는 18번, W/B40-SG에서는 4번, W/B74-SG는 7번으로 평가되었다. 더 긴 보수 불필요 기간을 가진 RC 구조물이 탄소량 감소에 유리함을 알 수 있다. In this paper, $CO_2$ amount is evaluated considering repairing timing and unit $CO_2$ amount per repair method including various stage of material manufacturing, moving, and construction. Four mix proportions with mineral admixture are considered and repairing timing/numbers are simulated based on the results from Life 365 which can handle chloride penetration. Furthermore two repair methods (simple cover concrete replacement and replacement with electro-chemical method for removing chloride content) are considered and the related $CO_2$ emissions are evaluated. From the study, the case with high W/B (water to binder ratio) ratio shows smaller $CO_2$ emission in construction stage but it increases more rapidly with increasing number of repair. $CO_2$ emission considering electro-chemical method greatly increases with the increasing unit $CO_2$ for the repairing method. The numbers of jumping step (repairing number) are evaluated to be 9 for WB37-OPC, 18 for WB50-OPC, 4 for WB40-SG, and 7 for WB47-SG respectively. RC structures with the longer maintenance free period are evaluated to be advantageous for saving $CO_2$ emission.

With tablets and powder, decoction has been a widely-used method of medicine formula. However, for these formulas have unique bitter tastes and flavors of herbal component materials as it is, the compliance of herbal medicine is severly decreased especially for female and younger patients. Consequently, expected treatment effects can't be acquired completely. If loathsome tastes and flavors of decoction were effectively reduced while pharmacological activity were kept intact, the compliance could be promoted Chong-Myung-Tang has been widely prescribed for student patients with memory This study shows that Chong-Myung-Tang+chocolate have no difference from Chong-Myung-Tang in terms of pharmacological activity. Sensory difference with net chocolate was also surved. In order to observe the difference of Chong-Myung-Tang+chocolate and Chong-Myung-Tang, memory impairment was induced by intraventricular injection of $A{\beta}_{25-35}$ peptides on mice and Chong-Myung-Tang and Chong-Myung-Tang+chocolate were administered orally for 14 days. In water maze task, improvement of learning ability during acquisition period and significant increase of memory score during retention period resulted from the treatment of Chong-Myung-Tang and Chong-Myung-Tang+chocolate with respect to the $A{\beta}-injected$ control animals. Furthermore, the $A{\beta}_{25-35}$ toxicity on the hippocampus was assessed with immunohistochemistry (Bax, TUNEL), and differences in antioxidant activity was observed through TBARS and DPPH test. We employed sensory tests using chocolate flavor, herb flavor, and bitter taste & hardness as standards to show sensory differences with net chocolate. In this study, it is demonstrated that Chong-Myung-Tang+chocolate do not disturb the pharmacological activity of Chong-Myung-Tang, and have no sensory difference with net chocolate. Chong-Myung-Tang+chocolate can be used to enhance the compliance remarkably and thought of as an effective, functional formula to maximize expected treatment.

This paper presents an automated system for inspecting surface finish quality of gear teeth. The purpose of the presented system is to improve both efficiency and reliability of a gear inspection process with a lower cost. The system consists of two modules; one is for data collection and the other for data analysis. While and A/D converter is built in a PC to efficiently obtain digitized data, a window-based software for conducting quality tests is provided using VISUAL BASIC as well as C++. We successfully connect them with the existing gear tester. This system would be also useful for the gear quality improvement by means of a continuous data management.
관측중단 하에서의 부트스트랩 와이블 분위수 관리도의 개발

R&D단계에서 확보된 제품의 신뢰성이 양산단계에서 지속적으로 유지될 수 있도록 관리하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 이 때, 일반적으로 와이블 분포가 수명분포로 널리 사용되며 낮은 분위수를 관리 특성치로 설정하게 된다. 하지만, 신뢰성 데이터는 관측중단 형태로 얻어지는 경우가 대부분임에도 이를 고려한 분위수 관리도에 대한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구는 데이터가 구간관측중단 형태로 얻어지며 와이블 분포를 따르는 경우, 부트스트랩 방법을 이용하여 관리한계선을 설정하는 분위수 관리도를 제안한다. 수치실험을 통해 부트스트랩 방법과 다른 근사방법을 적용하여 관리도의 성능을 평가하고 비교하였다. 제안된 방법은 휴대기기 디스플레이 패널의 강도(strength) 사례에 적용하여 양산환경에서 제품의 신뢰성을 관리하는데 유용하게 사용될 수 있음을 예시하였다.
