Recently, there is a need for research concerning the technologies and precaution methods against electronic bomb assaults. There lays perplex constitution and much coupling phenomenon in this type of system, and thus requires much time and memory in order to translate the system with the existing translation methods. Applying the EMT (Electromagnetic Topology) would prove much more efficient. In this paper, EMT has been applied to the circuit-like micro system, previously employed in micro systems. Also, each section has been interpreted using the BLT (Baum, Liu, Tesche) equation using the EMT, then reconstructed, consequentially interpreting an entire system. In this paper, a simple circuit containing active and passive elements based on a CPW has been interpreted employing the BLT equation, and has been proven by experiment using the circuit simulation, a simulation officially recognized for its accuracy in interpreting small structures. The interpretation results have been presented by an S-parameter, and by comparing the interpretation results attained through the BLT equation and that from common simulation to that from experimentation. that the BLT equation turned out to be the most reliable interpretation method could be found.

<P>Proton transfer polymerization between thiol and epoxide groups is shown to be an adaptable and utilitarian method for the synthesis of hydrogels. For instance, the polymerization catalyst can be organic or inorganic, and the polymerization medium can be pure water, buffer solutions, or organic solvents. The gelation mechanism can be triggered at ambient conditions, at a physiological temperature of 37 °C, or through using light as an external stimulus. The ambient and photochemical methods both allow for nanoimprint lithography to produce freestanding patterned thick films. The required thiol- and epoxide-carrying precursors can be chosen from a long list of commercially available small molecular as well as polymeric materials. The water uptake, mechanical, and biodegradation properties of the gels can, therefore, be tuned through the choice of appropriate gelation precursors and polymerization conditions. Finally, the thio-ether groups of the cross-linked networks can be functionalized through a postgelation modification reaction to access sulfonium-based cationic structures. Such structural changes endow antibacterial properties to the networks. In their pristine form, however, the gels are biocompatible and nonadhesive, allowing cancer cells to grow in a cluster formation.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

In this paper, finite element (FE) model updating based on multi-objective optimization with the surrogate model for a steel plate girder bridge is investigated. Conventionally, FE model updating for bridge structures uses single-objective optimization with finite element analysis (FEA). In the case of the conventional method, computational burden occurs considerably because a lot of iteration are performed during the updating process. This issue can be addressed by replacing FEA with the surrogate model. The other problem is that the updating result from single-objective optimization depends on the condition of the weighting factors. Previous studies have used the trial-and-error strategy, genetic algorithm, or user's preference to obtain the most preferred model; but it needs considerable computation cost. In this study, the FE model updating method consisting of the surrogate model and multi-objective optimization, which can construct the Pareto-optimal front through a single run without considering the weighting factors, is proposed to overcome the limitations of the single-objective optimization. To verify the proposed method, the results of the proposed method are compared with those of the single-objective optimization. The comparison shows that the updated model from the multi-objective optimization is superior to the result of single-objective optimization in calculation time as well as the relative errors between the updated model and measurement.
GROUP RINGS SATISFYING NIL CLEAN PROPERTY

In 2013, Diesl defined a nil clean ring as a ring of which all elements can be expressed as the sum of an idempotent and a nilpotent. Furthermore, in 2017, Y. Zhou, S. Sahinkaya, G. Tang studied nil clean group rings, finding both necessary condition and sufficient condition for a group ring to be a nil clean ring. We have proposed a necessary and sufficient condition for a group ring to be a uniquely nil clean ring. Additionally, we provided theorems for general nil clean group rings, and some examples of trivial-center groups of which group ring is not nil clean over any strongly nil clean rings.

<P><B>Background</B></P> <P>Several electronic alert systems for acute kidney injury (AKI) have been introduced. However, their clinical benefits require further investigation.</P> <P><B>Study Design</B></P> <P>Before-and-after quality improvement study.</P> <P><B>Setting & Participants</B></P> <P>A tertiary teaching hospital in Korea, which adopted an AKI alert system on June 1, 2014. Before and after launch of the alert system, 1,884 and 1,309 patients with AKI were included in the usual-care and alert groups, respectively.</P> <P><B>Quality Improvement Plan</B></P> <P>Implementation of an AKI alert system through which clinicians could generate automated consultations to the nephrology division for all hospitalized patients.</P> <P><B>Outcomes</B></P> <P>Primary outcomes included overlooked AKI events, defined as not measuring the follow-up creatinine value, and the consultation pattern of clinicians. Secondary outcomes were severe AKI events; AKI recovery, defined based on the creatinine-based criterion; and patient mortality.</P> <P><B>Measurements</B></P> <P>ORs for events of overlooked AKI, early consultation, and severe AKI were calculated with logistic regression. AKI recovery rate and patient mortality were assessed using Cox regression.</P> <P><B>Results</B></P> <P>After introduction of the alert system, the odds of overlooked AKI events were significantly lower (adjusted OR, 0.40; 95% CI, 0.30-0.52), and the odds of an early consultation with a nephrologist were greater (adjusted OR, 6.13; 95% CI, 4.80-7.82). The odds of a severe AKI event was reduced after implementation of the alerts (adjusted OR, 0.75; 95% CI, 0.64-0.89). Furthermore, the likelihood of AKI recovery was improved in the alert group (adjusted HR, 1.70; 95% CI, 1.53-1.88). Mortality was not affected by the AKI alert system (adjusted HR, 1.07; 95% CI, 0.68-1.68).</P> <P><B>Limitations</B></P> <P>Possible unreported differences between the alert and usual-care groups.</P> <P><B>Conclusions</B></P> <P>Implementation of the AKI alert system was associated with beneficial effects in terms of an improved rate of recovery from AKI. Therefore, widespread adoption of such systems could be considered in general hospitals.</P>

그리드 기반 대규모 신약후보물질탐색환경에서는 (1) 대규모의 도킹 작업을 그리드 상에 제출한 후 이들을 지속적으로 관리하고, (2) 실행된 각 작업들은 동시에 그리드 스토리지 및 메타데이터 카탈로그 서비스에 접근한다. 우리는 위의 두 부분에서 성능의 개선이 필요함을 발견하였다. (1)의 과정에서 제출된 작업의 상태 정보를 얻기 위해 그리드 스케쥴러를 사용하던 기존의 방식은 대규모 작업 제출에 의한 부하 문제로 정확한 정보를 신속하게 얻는 데 어려움이 있어 제출된 작업의 효율성이 떨어지는 문제가 있었다. 그리고 (2)의 과정에서는 동시에 실행된 대규모 작업들의 접근 요청이 그리드 스토리지 및 메타데이터 카탈로그 서비스에 집중되면서 이로 인해 성능 저하가 일어났다. 본 연구에서는 기존 환경에서 찾아낸 위의 두 가지 주요 부분에서 발견한 성능 이슈를 밝히고 또 이에 대한 해결 방법을 제시한다.
