      • Carbachol에 의한 닭 췌조직내 nitric oxide synthase 활성 및 methylated arginine 함량변화

        The role of nitric oxide (NO) in the regulation of exocrine secretion was investigated in chicken pancreatic tissues. Nitric oxide synthase (NOS) in the pancreatic tissues were Ca^2+-dependent form. Treatment of tissue with L-arginine (10 mM) or carbachol (10^-5 M) showed the increase of pancreatic exocrine secretion, but that of D-arginine (10 mM) did not. ^3H-citrulline formation, cyclic GMP level and methyl arginine contents in the homogenates of pancreatic tissues treated with carbachol were not affected. Although the action mechanism of NO in the pancreatic tissues remains unknown, NO apparently participates significantly in the overall control of pancreatic secretory function.

        케토프로펜-폴리에틸렌글리콜 전구약물의 합성 및 가수분해

        The objective of this study is to prepare ketoprofen (KP) - poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) conjugates and to investigate their degradation kinetics. KP-PEG conjugates were synthesized from KP and PEG methylester by esterification in the presence of DCC. The KP-PEG conjugates (KPEG) were characterized by IR and ^1H-NMR spectroscopy. The hydrolysis of KPEG with time was studied using HPLC by simultaneous quantification of KP and KPEG. The hydrolysis rate constant was high at low and high pHs, and showed minimum at pH 4 and 5. As the size of KPEG increase, hydrolysis rate increased. The slope of degradation rate profile suggests that catalytic reaction seems to occur by specific acid/base catalysis. These results suggest that KPEG could be used as a prodrug for KP, which releases KP slowly in the body.

      • 체적 데이터에 대한 적합한 광선 추적

        본 논문에서는 체적 데이터의 정보를 기반으로 효율적인 체적 묘사를 수행하기 위해서, 기존의 불필요한 체적 데이터 정보와 빈공간으로의 광선 추적을 개선시키는 방법을 제안한다. 본 과정은 체적 데이터가 가지고 있는 배경 영역을 최대한 절단하여 체적 데이터의 크기를 줄이는 방법과 체적 데이터의 투영 영역을 지정하고 그 영역을 광선 추적시 빈공간으로의 광선 추적을 최대한 줄이는 방법을 제안하여 기존의 광선 추적시 계산량을 많이 차지하는 각 Resampling 지점에 가상좌표에서 원좌표를 추출하는 연산량을 대폭 줄임으로 렌더링 속도를 높였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 두 기법은 기존의 광선 추적 기법뿐만 아니라 현재 제안되고 있는 다양한 기법들과 적용할 수 있어 그 효과는 크다고 볼 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 제안한 기법을 기존의 광선 추적 기법과 서로 비교하여 분석한다.

        경부에 발생한 2새열낭종 2례

        Developmental anomalies arising from the branchial apparatus include cysts, external sinuses, internal sinuses, and complete fistulas. Second branchial cleft cysts are by far the most common among these anomalies. It may occur at any age, being most common in the third decade, and more frequent in the male than in the female. It usually presents a smooth, round, nontender fluctuant mass located between the level of the tragus and the clavicle along the anteromedial border of the sternocleidomastoid muscle. It is lined by respiratory or squamous epithelium unless inflammation is present. The considerable amount of lymphoid tissue may be found beneath the epithelium. The treatment of choice of branchial cleft cyst is surgical excision. If the lesion is acutely infected, however, it is essential to relieve the infection prior to the surgery This report deals with two cases of second branchial cleft cyst. In case 1, the cyst had rapidly increased in size over pregnant period. In case 2, the patient presented the swelling in the left neck, and had the history of incision and drainage because of misdiagnosis as submandibular space abscess. The infection was treated by antibiotic therapy in the first place, and then complete surgical excision was made. There was no evidence of any recurrence or complications for these 3∼4 years.

      • 노즐 직경이 충돌제트에 의하여 열전달에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 축대칭 난류원형제트가 평판에 충돌하는 경우에 노즐직경이 국소 Nusselt 수 분포에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 노즐출구에서의 유동은 완전 발달된 속도형상을 지니고 있다. 그리고, 금박막이 된 Intrex를 사용하여 평판에는 등열유속 경계조건을 형성시켰다 또한, 액정은 평판의 벽면온도를 측정하기 위하여 사용하였다. 실험시 Reynolds 수는 Re=23,000으로 고정하였으며, 노즐과 평판사이의 거리는 L/d=2~14 까지, 노즐 직경은 d=1.36, 2.16, 3.40으로 변화시켰다. 실험결과 정체점과 정체점 영역에서의 Nusselt 수는 노즐 직경이 증가함에 따라 증가함을 알았다. The effect of nozzle diameter on the local Nusselt number distributions has been investigated for an axisymmetric turbulent jet impinging on the flat Plate surface. The flow at the nozzle exit has a fully developed velocity profile. A uniform heat flux boundary condition at the plate surface was created using gold film Intrex. Liquid Crystal was used to measure the plate surface temperature. The experiments were made for the jet Reynolds number (Re) 23,000, the dimensionless nozzle to surface distance (L/d) from 2 to 14., and the nozzle diameter (d) from 1.36 to 3.40 cm. The results show that the Nusselt number at and near the stagnation point increase with an increasing value of the nozzle diameter.

      • 각-관 열교환기의 냉각능력 향상에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서는 변압기 냉각용 각-관(Shell and Tube) 열교환기의 성능을 실험적으로 테스트하여 열교환기의 냉각능력을 향상시키는 기술을 개발하고자 하였다. 예열수조 2개를 항온조와 함께 사용함으로써 열교환기 입구에서와 온수의 초기온도를 60℃로 유지하고, cooling tower를 이용하여 입구에서 냉각수 온도를 20℃로 유지하였다. 냉각수 유량변화(5ℓ/min, 10ℓ/min, 15ℓ/min)에 따른 baffle의 형태(Single-segmental baffle, Double-segmental baffle, Disk & Doughnut baffle, Helical baffle)와 baffle의 개수(7개에서 5개) 및 tube의 개수(26개에서 18개)를 변화시켰을 때 열교환기의 냉각능력을 각각 실험하였다. 온수와 냉각수의 입ㆍ출구에서의 온도변화를 측정하기 위하여 Thermocouple을 온수와 냉각수 관의 입ㆍ출구에 하나씩 설치하였다. 실험결과 Disk & Doughnut, Helical baffle, Double-segmental baffle의 열전달률이 Single-segmental baffle보다 5.3%, 5.5%, 11.8% 높고, Double-segmental baffle의 경우 Tube 수의 감소율이 35%일 때 열전달률의 감소율은 14.3%임을 알 수 있었고, baffle의 수가 5개에서 7개로 증가했을 때 열전달률이 12.1% 증가함을 알았다. An experimental study to enhance the cooling capacity of the shell and tube type heat exchanger has been carried out. The initial temperature of hot water in the heat exchanger is maintained at 60℃, using two preheating water baths and one constant temperature water bath, while the coolant temperature is maintained at 20℃ by way of the cooling tower. For the coolant rates of 5 ℓ/min, 10 ℓ/min, 15 ℓ/min, the experiments to determine the heat exchanger cooling capacity have been performed using the various types of baffle(Single- segmental baffle, Double-segmental baffle, Disk & Doughnut baffle, Helical baffle), the number of baffles(from 7 to 5) and number of tubes(from 26 to 18). Thermocouples are installed in the inlet and outlet of hot-water and coolant tube to measure the temperature difference. It was found that the heat transfer rates for Disk & Doughnut baffle, Helical baffle, Double-segmental baffle are 5.3%, 5.5%, 11.8% higher than the Single-segmental baffle, respectively. When the number of tube is reduce by 35%, the 14.3% decrease in the heat transfer rate occurs, while when the number of baffle increases from 5 to 7, the 12% increase in the heat transfer rate occurs.

        Abdominal Impalement Injury Caused by Scaffolding Pipe following a Traffic Accident - A Case Report

        Traffic accidents involving agricultural machinery have been decreasing, but mortality is still high due to a lack of safety devices such as seat belts. Furthermore, secondary damage, such as abdominal impalement injury caused by loaded materials, is more likely to occur, and this type of injury leads to a poor prognosis. Impalement with pipes is often more fatal than other penetrating injuries because the diameter of the pipe is usually larger in size than other loaded materials. We report a case of a 72-year-old man with secondary abdominal impalement injury caused by a scaffolding pipe following a traffic accident. [ J Trauma Inj 2016; 29: 33-36 ]

        Early Postoperative Retrograde Jejunojejunal Intussusception after Total Gastrectomy with Roux-en-Y Esophagojejunostomy: A Case Report

        Intussusception is a rare cause of postoperative intestinal obstruction in adults. Many retrograde intussusceptions occur during the period following gastrectomy. A 77-year-old woman visited our hospital because of detected gastric adenocarcinoma. She received radical total gastrectomy with Roux-en-Y esophagojejunostomy. On the fifth postoperative day, she complained of abdominal pain, and we found leakage at the esophagojejunostomy site and dilatation of the Roux limb and the afferent limb of the jejunojejunostomy. Emergency surgery was performed. Retrograde jejunojejunal intussusception accompanied with a nasojejunal feeding tube was found at the efferent loop of the jejunojejunostomy. No ischemic change was found; therefore, manual reduction and primary repair of esophagojejunostomy was performed. She was discharged without complications on the 23rd re-postoperativeday. We suggest that the nasojejunal feeding tube acted as a trigger of intussusception because there was no definitive small bowel mass or postoperative adhesion. We present our findings here along with a brief review of the literature.
