A watermark is a signal added to the original signal in order to preserve the copyright of the owner of the digital content. The basic challenge for designing a watermarking system is a dilemma between transparency and robustness. If we want a higher rate of transparency, there has to be a compromise in terms of its robustness and vice versa. Also, until now, watermarking is generalized, resulting in the need for a specialized algorithm to work for a specialized image processing application domain. Our proposed technique takes into consideration the image characteristics for watermark insertion and it optimizes transparency and robustness. It achieved a 99.98% retrieval efficiency for an image blurring attack and counterfeits other attacks. Our proposed technique counterfeits almost all of the image processing attacks.

It has long been established that maternal nutritional condition and fatty acid intake during pregnancy and/or lactation may influence the modifications in the individual risk for developing metabolic diseases throughout life, but little is known about the possible role of maternal nutrition before conception. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of maternal supplementation with olive oil on offspring lipid metabolism under obesogenic conditions. Female Wistar rats were fed control or cafeteria diet which were either supplemented or not supplemented with olive oil (5%) for 2 months before and during gestation. Pregnant rats and their offspring were also fed on similar diet. After overnight fasting, offspring were sacrificed at 1 and 3 month of life. Cafeteria diet led to higher body weight, hyperglycemia and hyperlipidemia, LDL cholesterol, serum Lecithin–cholesterol acyltransferase activity and tissues lipoprotein lipase and hormone-sensitive lipase in offspring. In contrast, adult obese offspring had a lower HDL cholesterol. Olive oil rich-CAF diet decreased plasma lipids, increased HDL cholesterol and up-regulated lipolytic enzyme activities at weaning until adulthood. These data suggest that maternal olive oil may an effective strategy to improving metabolic alterations related to cafeteria diet in offspring.
A Novel DWT-SVD Canny-Based Watermarking Using a Modified Torus Technique
( Salima Lalani ),( D. D. Doye ) 한국정보처리학회 2016 Journal of information processing systems Vol.12 No.4
Today`s modern world requires a digital watermarking technique that takes the redundancy of an image into consideration for embedding a watermark. The novel algorithm used in this paper takes into consideration the redundancies of spatial domain and wavelet domain for embedding a watermark. Also, the cryptographybased secret key makes the algorithm difficult to hack and help protect ownership. Watermarking is blind, as it does not require the original image. Few coefficient matrices and secret keys are essential to retrieve the original watermark, which makes it redundant to various intentional attacks. The proposed technique resolves the challenge of optimizing transparency and robustness using a Canny-based edge detector technique. Improvements in the transparency of the cover image can be seen in the computed PSNR value, which is 44.20 dB.

This work presents a simple hyperbolic shear deformation theory for analysis of functionally graded plates resting on elastic foundation. The proposed model contains fewer number of unknowns and equations of motion than the first-order shear deformation model, but the transverse shear stresses account for a hyperbolic variation and respect the tangential stress-free boundary conditions on the plate boundary surface without introducing shear correction factors. Equations of motion are obtained from Hamilton`s principle. The Navier-type analytical solutions for simply-supported plates are compared with the existing solutions to demonstrate the accuracy of the proposed theory.
Single variable shear deformation model for bending analysis of thick beams
Salima Abdelbari,Lemya Hanifi Hachemi Amar,Abdelhakim Kaci,Abdelouahed Tounsi 국제구조공학회 2018 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.67 No.3
In this work, a new trigonometry theory of shear deformation is developed for the static analysis of thick isotropic beams. The number of variables used in this theory is identical to that required in the theory of Euler-Bernoulli, sine function is used in the displacement field in terms of the coordinates of the thickness to represent the effects of shear deformation. The advantage of this theory is that shear stresses can be obtained directly from the relationships constitute, while respecting the boundary conditions at the free surface level of the beam. Therefore, this theory avoids the use of shear correction coefficients. The differential equilibrium equations are obtained using the principle of virtual works. A thick isotropic beam is considered, whose numerical study to show the effectiveness of this theory.

SELFCON: An Architecture for Self-Configuration of Networks
Boutaba, Raouf,Omari, Salima,Singh Virk, Ajay Pal The Korean Institute of Communications and Informa 2001 Journal of communications and networks Vol.3 No.4
Traditional configuration management involves complex labor-intensive processes performed by experts. The configuration tasks such as installing or reconfiguring a system, provisioning network services and allocating resources typically involve a large number of activities involving multiple network elements. The network elements may be associated with proprietary configuration management instrumentation and may also be spread across heterogeneous network domains thereby increasing the complexity of configuration management. This paper introduces an architecture for the self-configuration of networks (SELFCON). The proposed architecture involves a directory server, which is uses to maintain configuration information. The configuration information stared in the directory server is modeled using the standard DEN specification thereby allowing effective exchange of network, system and configuration management data among heterogeneous management domains. SELFCON associates configuration intelligence with the components of the network, rather than limit it to a centralized management station. The network elements are notified about related changes in configuration policies, based upon which, they perform self-configuration. SELFCON is able to provide automation of configuration management and also an effective unifying framework for enterprise management.
