The main goal of this research is as follows: 1. To make a Korean standard telephone speech database composed of widely used and phonetically-balanced speech items. 2. To help associated universities and laborarories from making speech materials which is essential to speech processing studies by distributing the speech database to them. 3. To provide performance criteria for speech analysis and recognition algorithms. In the last year, we surveyed research trends in foreign countries, designed file formats for speech corpus, prepared for speech database collection/trimming, and made a useful Korean telephone speech database.

One of the most prominent feature of our database system is that it uses the User MMI screen layout and input record structure which users construct. Therefore, programmers need not program source code for each application area. Users can take effects of programming applications by just screen editing and input data record definition. The database system consistes of 3 program modules. 1) screen editor(sedit) - editing the initial screen for the DB engine, 2) form editor(form) - defining data record structures for DB engine, 3) the DB engine(playform) - managing database of the structure the user has defined. We will evolve this DB system to graphic mode, multi-key system, develop several db utilities, such as sort, print, etc. By using this system, users themselves can design their own db system(User screen, data record structure) easily, just as they develop DB application programs.

내열 복합재료용 모재 수지의 개질 특성과 공정 변수에 대한 연구를 위하여, N.BMI를 첨가한 에폭시 수지를 모재로 하는 적층판의 물성이 N.BMI의 첨가량에 따라 변화하는 것을 알아보기 위하여 기계적 물성 실험을 실시하였으며, 또한 승온속도의 영향을 알아보기 위하여 DSC와 TGA를 이용한 열분석을 수행하였다. 실험 결과, 승온속도가 빠른 경우 peak 온도가 지정 경화온도보다 높게 나타나므로 모재 수지의 불균일 경화반응이 일어날 수있음을 알수 있었다. 내열성 향상을 위해 N.BMI를 첨가하는 경우 10% 함유량에서 가장 우수한 특성을 나타내었다. The purpose of this project is to study the influence of heat-up rateduring cure cycle on the homogeneity of cured matrix resin and the effects of resin formulation on the thermal properties of fiber reinforced composite materials. The results of DSC analysis show that with the rapid heat-up rate, the homogeneity of matrix resin can not be achieved during normal cure cycle. The TG analyses have been performed on the various types of epoxy matrix resins. The results show that the formulation with BMI is stable to the temperature of 348℃ which is comparable to that of 350°F type prepreg.

<P>Presented in this letter are the <I>C</I>-<I>V</I> data, measured from nanowire capacitors, which have been fabricated by connecting in parallel a large number of identically processed nanowire FETs. The <I>C</I>-<I>V</I> curves were examined over a range from accumulation to inversion with varying frequencies and at different electrode configurations. The gate response of the undoped and floating channel is investigated using <I>C</I>-<I>V</I> data, and the inversion charge and carrier mobility are accurately extracted by eliminating the effects of parasitic capacitances and series resistance <I>R</I><SUB>sd</SUB>. These observed data are compared with the data from planar MOS capacitor.</P>

<P>The series resistance, <I>R</I> <SUB>sd</SUB> in silicon nanowire FETs (Si-NWFET) is extracted unambiguously, using the <I>Y</I> -function technique, in conjunction with the drain current and transconductance data. The volume channel inversion in Si-NWFET renders the charge carriers relatively free of the surface scattering and concomitant degradation of mobility. As a result, the <I>Y</I> -function of Si-NWFET is shown to exhibit a linear behavior in strong inversion, thereby enabling accurate extraction of <I>R</I> <SUB>sd</SUB>. The technique is applied to nanowire devices with channel lengths 82, 86, 96, 106, 132, and 164 nm, respectively. The extracted <I>R</I> <SUB>sd</SUB> values are shown nearly flat with respect to the gate voltage, as expected from Ohmic contacts but showed a large variation for all channel lengths examined. This indicates the process parameters involved in the formation of series contacts vary considerably from device to device. The present method only requires a single device for extraction of <I>R</I> <SUB>sd</SUB> and the iteration procedure for data fitting is fast and stable.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>The purpose of this study was to analyze the prevalence of vocal nodules and to identify factors related with an increased risk for vocal nodules.</P><P>This study was conducted using data from the Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2008 to 2011. The subjects consisted of 19,636 men and women aged ≥19 years. Related factors such as age, marital status, incomes, and education level were assessed in individual interviews, and health-related behaviors including smoking, alcohol, and activity were assessed with self-administered questionnaires. Also, examination survey such as laryngoscopy examination, basic physical examination, and blood sampling was conducted.</P><P>The prevalence of vocal nodules was 1.31% (n = 258). Among variable factors, age, education level, and voice disorder were related with the presence of vocal nodules (<I>P</I> < 0.05). Other factors including sex, alcohol, smoking, physical activities, hypertension, obesity, waist circumference and metabolic syndrome, hypercholesterolemia, serum calcium, and vitamin D did not show any meaningful relationship with the presence of vocal nodules.</P><P>This result may help reduce the incidence of vocal nodules and offer proper management for patients with vocal nodules, and may also facilitate efficient allocation of public health resources.</P>

<P>In this paper, the volume trap densities <I>Nt</I> are extracted from gate-all-around silicone-nanowire FETs with different gate oxides, using a cylindrical-coordinate-based flicker noise model developed. For extracting <I>Nt</I>, the drain-current power spectral densities were measured from a large number of identical devices and averaged over, thereby mimicking the spatial distribution of trap sites inducing 1/<I>f</I> curve. Also, effective mobility and threshold voltage were simultaneously extracted with the series resistance to characterize the 1/<I>f</I> noise in terms of intrinsic values of these two channel parameters. The volume trap densities thus extracted from different oxides (in situ steam-generated oxide/rapid thermal oxide/nitride-gated oxide) are compared and further examined using hot-carrier stress data. Finally, radius dependence of the cylindrical 1/<I>f</I> model developed is discussed.</P>
