Gibberellins (GAs) are a group of phytohormones that control many developmental processes in higher plants. We report the cloning and expression pattern of gibberellin biosynthesis genes from a new GA-producing fungus, Fusarium proliferatum (strain KGL0401). These genes sequences are deposited in the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) under accession numbers EF119831, EF119832, DQ313173, DQ313174, DQ313175, DQ313176, and DQ313177. The expression level of these genes was maximal at a 0.5 M : 0.17 M carbon : nitrogen ratio, and minimal at a 0.25 M : 0.47 M carbon : nitrogen ratio.

Purpose: The first Korean national population- based cancer registry using nationwide hospital-based recording system and the regional cancer registries provided the source to obtain national cancer incidences for the period 1999∼2001.Materials and Methods: The incidence of cancer in Korea was calculated based on the Korea Central Cancer Registry database, data from additional medical record review survey, the Regional Cancer Registry databases, site-specific cancer registry databases, and cancer mortality data from the Korea National Statistical Office. Crude and age-standardized rates were calculated by sex for 18 age groups.Results: The overall crude incidence rates (CR) were 247.3 and 188.3 per 100,000 for men and women and the overall age-standardized incidence rates (ASR) were281.2 and 160.3 per 100,000, respectively. Among men, five leading primary cancer sites werestomach (CR 58.6, ASR 65.6), lung (CR 42.1, ASR 50.9), liver (CR 41.9, ASR44.9), colon and rectum (CR 24.2, ASR 27.3) and bladder (CR 7.7, ASR 9.2). Among women, the most common cancers were stomach (CR 30.8, ASR 25.8), breast (CR25.7, ASR 21.7), colon and rectum (CR 19.6, ASR 16.7), uterine cervix (CR 18.4, ASR 15.5), and lung cancer (CR 15.1, ASR 12.4). In 0∼14 age group, leukemia was mostcommon for both sexes. For men, stomach cancer was most common in 15∼64 age group, but lung cancer was more frequent for over 65 age group. For women, thyroidcancer in 15∼34 age group, breast cancer in 35∼64 age group, and stomach cancer in over 65 age group were most common for each age group. The proportions ofdeath certificate only were 7.5% for men and 7.4% for women.Conclusion: This is the first attempt to determine the national cancer incidence and this data will be useful to plan for research and national cancer control in Korea.

In this paper, We research into the way of improving electronic vehicle’s dynamic safety. We expect the performance of four wheel driven independent electronic vehicle. Because of the possibility that can be controlled the motor independently. So the vehicle controlled of the motor independently can distribute torque convenient to more than conventional vehicles. Our aim is a development the control algorithm about vehicle dynamic control system for four wheel driven electronic vehicle. And we develop the control algorithm for safe driving under any environment. We use Simulink and Carsim for development the control algorithm and simulation the system. We simulate the vehicle system under slalom course with low mu surface. And we decision the system’s suitability with vehicle’s behavior.

<P>A total of 600 wild birds were analyzed for the causes of mortality in the Republic of Korea (ROK) from 2011 to 2013. Avian poxvirus (APV) infections were identified as the primary cause of mortality in 39% (29/74) Oriental Turtle Doves (Streptopelia orientalis). At necropsy, all 29 S. orientalis birds, of which, 76% (22/29) were juveniles, had severe diphtheritic lesions in their oral and nasal cavities and on their eyelids, which were the lesions of APV that resulted in mortality. We detected APV infection by chorioallantoic membrane inoculation and molecular study of the partial region of the P4b gene. All isolates belonged to the same APV strain and were identical to strains isolated from several different pigeon species in South Africa. Phylogenetically, the APV strain identified in S. orientalis belonged to subclade A2, which includes isolates from several species of pigeons from different parts of the world, including the United Kingdom, Germany, India, Egypt, Hawaii, Georgia, Hungary, South Africa, Tanzania, and the ROK. This identity indicated that this diphtheritic APV strain may be a potential pathogen of other pigeon species in the ROK and neighboring countries throughout the range of S. orientalis. However, reticuloendotheliosis virus insertion into the APV genome was not detected by PCR in any of the 29 APV infections. An identical strain of APV observed in S. orientalis was also detected in Culicoides arakawae (biting midge), with annual peak populations corresponding to the presence of APV in S. orientalis. Culicoides arakawae may be a primary vector of APV in S. orientalis. Active surveillance of APVs in wild birds and C. arakawae is needed to better understand the epidemiology of APVs, host-vector relationships, and its ecological effects on S. orientalis in the ROK.</P>
