El cine, Cagliostro y la generacin del 27
Vol.0 No.45
Vol.1 No.-

The time-continuous discrete-state Markov process is a model for rating transitions. One parameter, namely the intensity to migrate to an adjacent rating state, implies an ordinal rating to have an intuitive metric. State-specific intensities generalize such state-stationarity. Observing Markov processes from a multiplicative intensity model, the maximum likelihood parameter estimators for both models can be studied with the score statistic, written as a martingale transform of the processes that count transitions between the rating states. A Taylor expansion reveals consistency and asymptotic normality of the parameter estimates, resulting in a X^2-distributed likelihood ratio of state-stationarity against the state-specific model. This extends to time-stationarity. Simulations contrast the asymptotic results with finite samples. An application to a sufficiently large set of credit rating histories shows that the one-parameter model can be a good starting point.

This study aimed to verify the effect of judo matches on handgrip strength and perceptual responses during an official tournament in medalists and nonmedalists. Thirty-four male judo athletes participated in an offi-cial judo tournament. Before the first match and immediately after each match, maximum isometric handgrip strength and rate of perceived ex-ertion overall and in specific areas were assessed. Analysis of variance for repeated measures was used to compare variables before the first match and after each match, and t-test was used to compare medalists and nonmedalists with the level of significance set at 5%. Also, effect size (ES) analysis was used. The results showed decrease in handgrip strength in both hands from the third match (P<0.05). The rate of per-ceived exertion (RPE) increased from the first match and remained high over the subsequent matches (P<0.001). A very large effect for nonmed-alist group (ES=3.44) and large effect for medalist group (ES=1.94) was found in the third match compared to prematch. Forearm and fingers were the body regions most cited by athletes in both groups. We con-cluded that an official judo competition induced significant drop in hand-grip strength from the third match and increased the RPE from first match. Medalists seem to have better recovery after the third match compared to nonmedalists.
Adaptive Image Segmentation Based on Histogram Transition Zone Analysis
Rafael Guillermo Gonzalez Acun,Domingo Mery,Reinhard Klette 한국지능시스템학회 2016 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL of FUZZY LOGIC and INTELLIGE Vol.16 No.4
While segmenting “complex” images (with multiple objects, many details, etc.) we experienced a need to explore new ways for time-efficient and meaningful image segmentation. In this paper we propose a new technique for image segmentation which has only one variable for controlling the expected number of segments. The algorithm focuses on the treatment of pixels in transition zones between various label distributions. Results of the proposed algorithm (e.g. on the Berkeley image segmentation dataset) are comparable to those of GMM or HMM-EM segmentation, but are achieved with significantly reduced computation time.

The brown algae padina concrescens is widely distributed in the northwestern Pacific Mexico. We described the population of P. concrescens based on population parameters such as cover, density and size structure and reproduc-tion at two levels tide at the intertidal area in the southwestern Baja. California Peninsula. Monthly visits from January to December 2003 were done. Both cover and density were measured in situ by quadrants method. Samples were collected to obtain size structure and percentage of reproductive fronds. Our results show there is sparial vari-ation in the population structure more than temporal. Thus, cover and density peak were at different months ineach tide level studied, the lower tide level shows the high values in cover as well as density. The frond develop-ment was observed in height/width ratio this relation was consistent only in the low tidal zone. Size class distribu-tion has consistently small size plants in both tide levels.Reproduction was seasonal in the tide channel but in both tide levels all the reproductive plants were tetrasporophyte. Our results suggest that this population is pseudopere-nial and it strongly as a consequence of the intense competition in the intertidal zone.
First Results of the Single Heartstring Aortotomy for Multiple Off-Pump Vein Grafts: A Case Series
Rafael Freire dos Santos,Lars Niclauss 대한흉부외과학회 2020 Journal of Chest Surgery (J Chest Surg) Vol.53 No.6
To validate the technique of the single Heartstring aortotomy for multiple off-pump ve- nous bypass grafts (described in 2015), the results of a 38-month follow-up study of 18 patients, including high-risk patients, are presented. No early deaths or cardiac or cerebral complications occurred. During the follow-up period, 2 patients died of non-cardiac caus- es, and 3 developed coronary ischemia. Ischemia occurred due to late graft occlusion in 2 patients, both of whom had normal postoperative courses and correct graft flow. The pres- ence of acute symptoms 24 months after surgery in these patients indicated that techni- cal graft failure was unlikely. This safe technique combines the advantages of simple and reproducible revascularization, the off-pump approach, and minimal aortic manipulation.

Background: The poultry industry suffers losses from problems as pale, soft and exudative (PSE), and dark, firm and dry (DFD) meat can develop in meat as a result of short- and long-term stress, respectively. These abnormalities are impacted by pre-slaughter animal welfare. Methods: This work evaluated the effects of open vehicle container microclimate, throughout the 38 ± 10 km journey from the farm to the slaughterhouse, on commercially turkey transported during the Brazilian winter season. The journey was initiated immediately after water bath in truck fitted with portable Kestrel anemometers to measure air ventilation, relative humidity, temperature and ventilation. Results: The inferior compartments of the middle and rear truck regions showed highest temperature and relative humidity, and lower air ventilation. In addition, the superior compartments of the front truck regions presented lower temperature and wind chill, and highest air ventilation. The breast meat samples from animals located at the inferior compartments of the middle and rear truck regions and subjected to with water bath (WiB) treatment presented highest DFD-like and had lowest PSE-like meat incidence than those from animals located at other compartments within the container. Lower incidence of PSE-like meat was observed in birds without water bath (WoB). Conclusions: Assessment on turkeys transported under Brazilian southern winter conditions revealed that breast meat quality can be affected by relative humidity, air ventilation, temperature, and transport under subtropical conditions promoting color abnormalities and the formation of simultaneously PSE-like and DFD-like meat.
