        The academic world which has known that Korea and Japan moved in the south of China. After all these races which transferred themselves from the north to the south. They said that also rices were passed through the south of China, but its place is the north. It is a Langyadao that is native to just the north. If so, what kind of ship? sea of Huanghai and east sea or sea of Bohai and Huanghai? When we consider a matter in all aspects, it is nearly possible more the north than the south most scholars is believing.

        Performance Evaluation of Pico Cell Range Expansion and Frequency Partitioning in Heterogeneous Network

        In the presence of a high power cellular network, picocells are added to a Macro-cell layout aiming to enhance total system throughput from cell-splitting. While because of the different transmission power between macrocell and picocell, and co-channel interference challenges between the existing macrocell and the new low power node-picocell, these problems result in no substantive improvement to total system effective throughput. Some works have investigated on these problems. Pico Cell Range Expansion (CRE) technique tries to employ some methods (such as adding a bias for Pico cell RSRP) to drive to offload some UEs to camp on picocells. In this work, we propose two solution schemes (including cell selection method, channel allocation and serving process) and combine new adaptive frequency partitioning reuse scheme to improve the total system throughput. In the simulation, we evaluate the performances of heterogeneous networks for downlink transmission in terms of channel utilization per cell (pico and macro), call blocking probability, outage probability and effective throughput. The simulation results show that the call blocking probability and outage probability are reduced remarkably and the throughput is increased effectively.

        주산군도(舟山群島) 하치도(蝦峙島)의 신앙민속

        본고를 통해서 동해 주산군도 중의 작은 섬인 하치도에 대한 몇 가지 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 섬의 민속신앙은 보편화되어 있어 오구(岙口)마다 마을마다 모두 신령을 모시는 사당이 있는데 많은 곳에는 하나의 신령과 하나의 사당만 있는 것이 아니다. 둘째, 하치도의 마조천후(馬祖天後)신앙은 두드러지지 않음으로 사당이 드물다. 묘만촌(廟灣村)에 있는 안경묘(安慶廟)와 같이 천후(天后)를 다른 신령과 함께 모시는 현상도 매우 적다. 셋째, 섬의 많은 사당들의 건축은 비교적 가까운 시대에서 이루어 졌다. 거의 모두가 청나라 강희(康熙), 건륭(乾隆)시대 이후에 건축된 것이다. 이는 강희 23년(1684) 이전, 이곳에 엄한 해상금지정책(禁海政策)을 실행하였기에 현재 섬에서 살고 있는 도민들의 거의 모든 조상이 강희 28년(1689) 이후에야 이곳으로 전입했기 때문이다. 넷째, 성당묘(聖塘廟), 사방전(桫枋殿), 황사전(黃沙殿)과 같은 사당이 모시는 신령은 바다에서 떠내려온 관이거나, 바다에서 떠내려온 위패이거나, 바다에서 떠내려온 감실(龕室)이다. 다섯째, 도민들의 민속신앙의 주력과 중견은 부녀들인데 이러한 현상은 하치도에서 더욱 뚜렷하다. 여섯째, 하치도의 많은 민속사당들은 20세기 80년대, 90년대에 중수(重修)하거나 새로 수리한 것이다. 이는 외래종교인 천주교가 빠른 속도로 전파된 것과 동일하게 도민사회의 정신과 심리적인 ‘현실’을 반영한 것이다. The study can make some conclusions on Hashi island, a small island of Zhousan archipelago. First, the folklore faith of Hashi island prevails so that every village has shrines to enshrine a divine spirit. There are some of the villages which have more than one shrine and divine spirit. Second, the shrine of the Mazu(媽祖) faith is unusual because the Mazu faith of Hashi island is not remarkable, and also there is a little of phenomenon to enshrine the sea god(天后) with other spirits like the Anqing(安慶) shrine in Miaowan(廟灣) village. Third, many shrines of the island was constructed in comparatively near times. Most of all shrines was built after the period of Emperor of Kangxi (康熙) and Qianlong(乾隆). This is because a strict policy for prohibiting sea was carried out in this area before 1684(the 23rd year of Kangxi Emperor) so that most ancestors of the present inhabitants in the island immigrated into the island after 1689. Fourth, the divine spirits enshrined by the shrine at the sacred pond(聖塘廟), the sal tree sanctum(桫枋殿), and the yellow sand sanctum(黃沙殿) are the coffin, the mortuary tablet, or the niche floated down from a sea. Fifth, the main force and the backbone of inhabitants' folklore faith is a married woman, and this phenomenon is more obvious in Hashi island. Finally, many folk shrines in Hashi island were remodeled or repaired in 1980s and 1990s. This reflects the mind and the psychological "reality" of the society of island inhabitants as Roman Catholicism was rapidly spreaded in the island.

        Comparative Transcriptome Analysis of Rhizoctonia solani-resistant and -Susceptible Rice Cultivars Reveals the Importance of Pathogen Recognition and Active Immune Responses in Host Resistance

        Rice sheath blight (SB), caused by Rhizoctoniasolani (R. solani), is a major threat to rice productionworldwide. The molecular mechanisms of the SB resistancein rice are poorly understood. The transcriptomes of the SBresistantrice cultivar YSBR1 and the susceptible cultivarLemont were analyzed after R. solani infection. A total of7624 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identifiedat one or more timepoints in a cultivar. 5526 and 5618 DEGswere differentially expressed in Lemont and YSBR1,respectively. YSBR1 exhibited stronger and earlier transcriptionalresponse to R. solani than Lemont. Gene ontology enrichmentanalysis revealed that genes that encode cell wall-modifyingand glycosyl-degrading enzymes or anti-microbial proteinswere specifically induced in YSBR1 at 6 hpi. MapMananalysis revealed that more DEGs related with cell wall, β-glucanses, respiratory burst, phenylpropanoids and ligninwere highly induced by R. solani in YSBR1 than in Lemont. The results also showed that receptor-like kinases and jasmonicacid signaling may play important roles in host resistance toR. solani. This study highlights potential candidate genes andsignaling pathways involved in rice sheath resistance and canhelp to further clarify the mechanistic events underlyingresistance and susceptibility to R. solani.

        Control of 3-D coupled responses of wind-excited tall buildings by a spatially placed TLCD system

        The possible application of a spatially placed passive tuned liquid column damper system for suppressing coupled lateral-torsional responses of tall buildings is investigated in this paper. The wind loads acting on rectangular tall buildings are analytically expressed as 3-D stochastic model. Meanwhile, the 3-D responses of tall buildings may be coupled due to eccentricities between the stiffness and mass centers of the buildings. In these cases, torsional responses of the buildings are rather larger, and a TLCD system composed of several TLCD located near the sides of the buildings is more effective than the same TLCD placed at the building center in reducing both translational and torsional responses of the buildings. In this paper, extensive analytical and numerical work has been done to present the calculation method and optimize the parameters of such TLCD systems. The numerical examples show that the spatially placed TLCD system can reduce coupled along-wind, across-wind and torsional responses significantly with a fairly small mass ratio.

      • Comparison of Concurrent Chemoradiotherapy Followed by Adjuvant Chemotherapy Versus Concurrent Chemoradiotherapy Alone in Locoregionally Advanced Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma: a Meta-analysis of 793 Patients from 5 Randomized Controlled Trials

        Purpose: The main objective of the present study was to evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of concurrent chemoradiotherapy followed by adjuvant chemotherapy compared with concurrent chemoradiotherapy alone in the treatment of locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Methods: The search strategy included Pubmed, Embase, the Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Internet Web, Chinese Biomedical Database and Wanfang Database. We also searched reference lists of articles and the volumes of abstracts of scientific meetings. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that compared concurrent chemoradiotherapy followed by adjuvant chemotherapy with concurrent chemoradiotherapy alone in locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma were included. Meta-analysis was performed with RevMan 5.1.0. The Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation system (GRADE) was used to rate the level of evidence. Results: Five studies were included. Risk ratios of 1.02 (95%CI 0.89-1.15), 0.93 (95%CI 0.72-1.21), 1.07 (95%CI 0.87-1.32), 0.95 (95%CI 0.80-1.13) were observed for 3 years overall survival, 5 years failure-free survival, 5 years locoregional failure-free survival and 5 years distant metastasis failure-free survival. There were no treatment-related deaths in both groups of five studies. Hematologic and gastrointestinal toxicity were the most significant for patients during adjuvant chemotherapy. The level of evidence was low. Conclusion: Compared with concurrent chemoradiotherapy alone, concurrent chemotherapy followed by adjuvant chemotherapy did not improve prognosis. More toxicity was found during adjuvant chemotherapy.

      • Construction and Application of Efficient<i>Ac-Ds</i>Transposon Tagging Vectors in Rice

        <P>Transposons are effective mutagens alternative to T-DNA for the generation of insertional mutants in many plant species including those whose transformation is inefficient. The current strategies of transposon tagging are usually slow and labor-intensive and yield low frequency of tagged lines. We have constructed a series of transposon tagging vectors based on three approaches: (i) AcTPase controlled by glucocorticoid binding domain/VP16 acidic activation domain/Gal4 DNA-binding domain (GVG) chemical-inducible expression system; (ii) deletion of AcTPase via Cre-lox site-specific recombination that was initially triggered by Ds excision; and (iii) suppression of early transposition events in transformed rice callus through a dual-functional hygromycin resistance gene in a novel Ds element (HPT-Ds). We tested these vectors in transgenic rice and characterized the transposition events. Our results showed that these vectors are useful resources for functional genomics of rice and other crop plants. The vectors are freely available for the community.</P>

      • Advances and Challenges in Intensity-Modulated Radiotherapy for Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

        Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is an endemic disease within specific regions in the world. Radiotherapy is the main treatment. In recent decades, intensity-modulated radiation therapy has undergone a rapid evolution. Compared with two-dimensional radiotherapy and/or three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy, evidence has shown it may improve quality of life and prognosis for patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma. In addition, helical tomotherapy is an emerging technology of intensity-modulated radiation therapy. Its superiority in dosimetric and clinical outcomes has been demonstrated when compared to traditional intensity-modulated radiation therapy. However, many challenges need to be overcome for intensity-modulated radiation therapy of nasopharyngeal carcinoma in the future. Issues such as the status of concurrent chemotherapy, updating of target delineation, the role of replanning during IMRT, the causes of the main local failure pattern require settlement. The present study reviews traditional intensity-modulated radiation therapy, helical tomotherapy, and new challenges in the management of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

      • Progress and Challenges in Chemotherapy for Loco-Regionally Advanced Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

        Incidence rates of nasopharyngeal carcinoma are high in Indonesia, Singapore and South-Eastern China. Chemoradiotherapy has been the standard regimen for locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma according to guidelines from the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. Recently, advances in the management of nasopharyngeal carcinoma have transferred into better treatment outcomes. Most phase III clinical trials support the addition of concurrent chemotherapy to radiotherapy for the initial treatment of these patients. Studies evaluating effects and toxicity of concurrent chemotherapy with different regimens have been reported. However, the status of adding adjuvant chemotherapy or induction chemotherapy remains controversial. Recent studies have shown that adjuvant chemotherapy with two or three cycles may improve survival for nasopharyngeal carcinoma with stage N2-3 disease or with persistently detectable plasma EBV DNA after radiotherapy. This review examines the pertinent issues and latest studies concerning the management of loco-regionally advanced NPC, regarding concurrent chemotherapy, adjuvant chemotherapy, and induction chemotherapy in decades.
