Research on a Demand Response Interactive Scheduling Model of Home Load Groups

Qingshan Xu,Xiaoquan Jiao 대한전기학회 2020 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.15 No.3

In order to solve the problem that the potential between electrical appliances and each power supply is not timely in the current scheduling model, which may leads to high energy consumption and poor interaction performance, the research of interactive scheduling model for demand response of home load group is proposed. Four types of household appliances are obtained from the home load group structure diagram: core electrical appliances, electrical appliances capable of providing storing energy, electrical appliances of any use time, and load aggregators. By selecting multiple indicators, a load group response potential index system is constructed to measure the household based on the impacts of electrical and power response potentials; and two load-aggregate demand response models are established by integrating demand response resources through load aggregation. Furthermore, By combining the above two models with home load aggregation, the improved tabu search algorithm is used to determine the objective function and constraints, such that an interactive scheduling model for the family load group demand response is constructed. The experimental results show that the energy consumption of this model can be low after dispatching household load group. It can reduce household electricity consumption, and have good application performance. The model can efectively complete the interactive scheduling of the demand response of the home load group. It solves the problem of electricity wasting so as to save energy. In the meantime, it improves the user’s real-time and convenient experience.

Irradiation-Induced Hardening and Softening of CLAM Steel Under Fe Ion Irradiation

        Qingshan Li,Yinzhong Shen,Xi Huang,Zhiqiang Xu,Jun Zhu 대한금속·재료학회 2017 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.23 No.6

The irradiation-induced hardening and softening of CLAM steel irradiated with 3.5 MeV Fe13+ions at temperaturesof 300 °C and 550 °C were investigated by nanoindentation tests in combination with microstructures. Irradiation-induced hardening occurred in the steel irradiated at 300 °C to doses of 0.46 dpa, 0.94 dpa, and 2.79 dpa. The hardening occurred at 300 °C is mainly attributed to the formation of irradiation-produced dislocation loopsand a network of tangled dislocations in the irradiated steel samples. Significant hardening was found in the steelirradiated at 550 °C to 0.38 dpa. On the contrary, irradiation-induced softening occurred in the steel irradiated at550 °C to both 0.76 dpa and 2.75 dpa. Irradiation-produced dislocation loops are not dominant effect on the irradiationhardening of the steel samples irradiated at 550 °C. The hardening and softening of the irradiated steel wereexplained in terms of the irradiation-produced defects and recovery process occurred during the irradiation.

A Comprehensive Model for Wind Power Forecast Error and its Application in Economic Analysis of Energy Storage Systems

Huang, Yu,Xu, Qingshan,Jiang, Xianqiang,Zhang, Tong,Liu, Jiankun The Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers 2018 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.13 No.6

The unavoidable forecast error of wind power is one of the biggest obstacles for wind farms to participate in day-ahead electricity market. To mitigate the deviation from forecast, installation of energy storage system (ESS) is considered. An accurate model of wind power forecast error is fundamental for ESS sizing. However, previous study shows that the error distribution has variable kurtosis and fat tails, and insufficient measurement data of wind farms would add to the difficulty of modeling. This paper presents a comprehensive way that makes the use of mixed skewness model (MSM) and copula theory to give a better approximation for the distribution of forecast error, and it remains valid even if the dataset is not so well documented. The model is then used to optimize the ESS power and capacity aiming to pay the minimal extra cost. Results show the effectiveness of the new model for finding the optimal size of ESS and increasing the economic benefit.

A New On-line Power Flow Calculation Method with Computation Loads Separation Technique in DC Power Systems

        Yuqi Wang,Qingshan Xu,Jiaqi Zheng 대한전기학회 2019 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.14 No.4

The speed of one-time power fl ow calculation is hard to be further improved with satisfi ed accuracy and stability after decades of researches. However, the improvement on many-times calculation speed may be possible and is important for practical application. This paper proposes a novel method which can dramatically improve the many-times calculation speed of power fl ow without sacrifi ce of accuracy, convergence and stability in DC power systems. To achieve the purpose, this paper adopts a novel basic technique to separate the computation loads of grid topology analysis and bus types analysis from power fl ow equations. The technique is based on the analysis of linear relationships-based nonlinear problems and strict mathematical derivations. Combined with the basic technique, a correctness method is also proposed to deal with the specifi c nonlinear factors in power fl ow calculation. Thus, a complete novel power fl ow calculation method is proposed and the detailed mathematical derivation is presented. With the novel ant lion optimizer, the proper DC test systems are constructed. Compared with classical Newton–Raphson method, the proposed method is more stable and the initial values requirement is lower. At last, the numerical verifi cation validates that the speed of the proposed method can be more than 10 times faster than Newton–Raphson method without the sacrifi ce of other performance.

      • Shape Effects on Aerodynamic and Pedestrian-level Wind Characteristics and Optimization for Tall and Super-Tall Building Design

Kim, Yong Chul,Xu, Xiaoda,Yang, Qingshan,Tamura, Yukio Council on Tall Building and Urban Habitat Korea 2019 International journal of high-rise buildings Vol.8 No.4

This paper reviews shape optimization studies for tall and super-tall building design. Firstly, shape effects on aerodynamic and response characteristics are introduced and discussed. Effects of various configurations such as corner modifications, taper, setback, openings, and twists are examined. Comprehensive comparative studies on various configurations including polygon building models, and composite type building models such as corner-cut and taper, corner-cut and taper and helical, and so on, are also discussed under the conditions of the same height and volume. Aerodynamic characteristics are improved by increasing the twist angle of helical buildings and increasing the number of sides of polygon buildings, but a twist angle of $180^{\circ}$ and a number of sides of 5 (pentagon) seem to be enough. The majority of examined configurations show better aerodynamic characteristics than straight-square. In particular, composite type buildings and helical polygon buildings show significant improvement. Next, shape effects on pedestrian-level wind characteristics around tall and super-tall buildings are introduced and discussed. Corner modification buildings show significant reductions in speed-up areas. On the other hand, setback and tapered models with wider projected widths near the ground show adverse effects on pedestrian-level wind characteristics.

Expression Profile of Neuro-Endocrine-Immune Network in Rats with Vascular Endothelial Dysfunction

Li, Lujin,Jia, Zhenghua,Xu, Ling,Wu, Yiling,Zheng, Qingshan The Korean Society of Pharmacology 2014 The Korean Journal of Physiology & Pharmacology Vol.18 No.2

This study was to determine the correlation between endothelial function and neuro-endocrine-immune (NEI) network through observing the changes of NEI network under the different endothelial dysfunction models. Three endothelial dysfunction models were established in male Wistar rats after exposure to homocysteine (Hcy), high fat diet (HFD) and Hcy+HFD. The results showed that there was endothelial dysfunction in all three models with varying degrees. However, the expression of NEI network was totally different. Interestingly, treatment with simvastatin was able to improve vascular endothelial function and restored the imbalance of the NEI network, observed in the Hcy+HFD group. The results indicated that NEI network may have a strong association with endothelial function, and this relationship can be used to distinguish different risk factors and evaluate drug effects.

      • Laminarin enhances the quality of aged pig oocytes by reducing oxidative stress

        YAO, Xuerui,JIANG, Hao,LIANG, Shuang,SHEN, Xinghui,GAO, Qingshan,XU, Yong Nan,KIM, Nam-Hyung 家畜繁殖硏究所 2018 Journal of Reproduction and Development Vol.64 No.6

<P>Laminarin (LAM) is a β-glucan oligomer known to possess biological activities such as anticancer and antioxidant effects. This study explored the influence of LAM supplementation on <I>in vitro</I> aged porcine oocytes and the underlying mechanisms behind this influence. We found that LAM delayed the aging process and improved the quality of aged oocytes. LAM supplementation enhanced the subsequent developmental competence of aged oocytes during the <I>in vitro</I> aging process. The blastocyst formation rate was significantly increased in aged oocytes treated with 20 µg/ml LAM compared to non-treated aged oocytes (45.3% <I>vs</I>. 28.7%, P < 0.01). The mRNA levels of apoptosis-related genes, B cell lymphoma-2-associated X protein (<I>Bax)</I> and <I>Caspase-3,</I> were significantly lower in blastocysts derived from the LAM-treated aged oocytes during the <I>in vitro</I> aging process. Furthermore, the level of intracellular reactive oxygen species was significantly decreased and that of glutathione was significantly increased in aged oocytes following LAM treatment. Mitochondrial membrane potential was increased, and the activities of caspase-3 and cathepsin B were significantly reduced in the LAM-treated aged oocytes compared with the non-treated aged oocytes. Taken together, these results suggest that LAM is beneficial for delaying the aging process in porcine oocytes.</P>
