본 논문의 목적은 시계열분석을 이용하여 탄소배출권 가격과 철강기업 주가의 인과관계를 분석하는 것이다. 탄소배출권 거래에 의한 영향을 감안하여 분석 기간을 탄소배출권 거래전과 거래후로 구분하였으며, 탄소 의무저감 유무에 따른 영향을 감안하여 의무저감 지역의 철강기업 ARCELOR와 비의무저감 지역의 철강기업 POSCO를 선정하였다. 탄소배출권 거래 전의 POSCO와 ARCELOR 주가사이의 관계 분석결과 두 기업은 장기균형이 존재하였다. 탄소배출권 거래가 시작된 후의 POSCO와 ARCELOR의 주가 및 탄소배출권 사이의 상호관계 분석결과 POSCO와 ARCELOR의 주가사이 장기균형이 없어지고, ARCELOR와 탄소가격사이 장기균형이 존재하는 결과를 얻었다. 인과관계로부터 철강기업이 탄소배출권 가격에 영향을 주나, 탄소가격으로부터 영향을 받지 않는 것으로 나타났다. This paper analyzes the causality of CO₂ price and the stock prices of steel corporations using time series model. The data was separated by two periods, before and after CO₂ trades. And two steel corporations were selected, ARCELOR is from party included in Annex Ⅰ(Kyoto Protocol), POSCO is from party not included in Annex Ⅰ. The results show that the price of POSCO and ARCELOR stock have long-run equilibrium. After the CO₂ trading, the stock prices of POSCO and ARCELOR do not have long-run equilibrium, but the prices of ARCELOR stock and CO₂ have long-run equilibrium. Also the stock prices of steel corporations affect CO₂ price, but CO₂ price does not affect the stock prices of steel corporations.
Heating Control Design of a Space Camera

When a space camera works on the track, it presents in vacuum environment, under the condition of low temperatures, the camera can only maintain its temperature level by absorption of radiation. If stayed in this environment for a long time, mechanical structure of the space camera may become brittle, lose strength, and an exfoliation phenomenon may appear, in addition, abnormal operation and malfunction of electronic equipments may also occur, these may affect imaging quality of the camera. In this paper, a heating control method is designed for a space flight off-axis camera. Firstly, heating control working platform of the camera is introduced, a design method of heating control is determined. After that, heating control treatment procedure is introduced. Finally, the ground temperature monitor is used to validate correctness of the method designed. The comparison diagram before and after thermal analysis and temperature data obtained from experiments are presented, results show that, the heating control method is simple and effective, it has wide applicability and strong generalization performance.

During an investigation of fungi from an elm tree infested with bark beetles in Korea, one isolate, DUCC401, was isolated from elm wood. Based on morphological characteristics and phylogenetic analysis of the internal transcribed spacer and 28S rDNA (large subunit) sequences, the isolate, DUCC401, was identified as Mariannaea samuelsii. Mycelia of the fungus grew faster on malt extract agar than on potato dextrose agar and oatmeal agar media. Temperature and pH for optimal growth of fungal mycelia were 25oC and pH 7.0, respectively. The fungus demonstrated the capacity to degrade cellobiose, starch, and xylan. This is the first report on isolation of Mariannaea samuelsii in Korea.
HOXB7 Predicts Poor Clinical Outcome in Patients with Advanced Esophageal Squamous Cell Cancer

Background: Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) accounts for most esophageal cancer in Asia, and is the sixth common cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Previous studies indicated HOXB7 is overexpressed in ESCC tissues, but data on prognostic value are limited. Methods: A total of 76 advanced ESCC cases were investigated. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) was used to detect the expression levels of HOXB7 and Kaplan-Meier curves and Cox regression models to determine prognostic significance. Stratified analysis was also performed according to lymph node (LN) status. Results: Kaplan-Meier curve analysis indicated that HOXB7 positive patients had significantly shorter overall survival (OS) than HOXB7 negative patients. Multivariate analysis using the Cox proportional hazards model indicated only TNM stage and HOXB7 expression to be independent predictors of overall survival of advanced ESCC patients. HOXB7 indicated poor OS in both lymph node negative (LN-) and lymph node positive (LN+) patients. Conclusion: HOXB7 predicts poor prognosis of advanced ESCC patients and can be applied as an independent prognostic predictor.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate factors affecting Korean apple preference and purchase of Malaysian consumers. 158 Malaysian consumers were surveyed and exploratory factor analysis and structural equation modeling analysis were employed. The results show that intrinsic factors (sweetness, chewing texture, safety) and images of Korean products have a positive effect on Korean apple purchase of Malaysian consumers. The results also indicate that effects of extrinsic factors (size, surface, color) and marketing factors (brand, wrapping) on Korean apple purchase of Malaysian consumers are insignificant statistically. The results of this paper may provide useful information to promote apple exports.
Fracture toughness and surface morphology of poly(lactic acid)/poly(ε-caprolactone) blends

Poly(lactic acid) (PLA) is considered a material highly suited for industrialization because of its many advantages. However, despite its high tensile modulus and strength, one of the drawbacks of PLA is its poor toughness due to the stiff backbone chain, which restricts its use in many fields. Bio-based PLA blends were prepared by the solution blending of PLA and poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL). The effect of PCL content on the fracture toughness, mechanical properties, and morphology of PLA was investigated using several techniques. As a result, the fracture toughness of PLA was significantly improved by the addition of PCL.

A Gram-positive, catalase- and oxidase-positive, strictly aerobic, endospore-forming rod bacterium, designated K3514T, was isolated from the leaves of Nicotiana tabacum. The strain was able to grow at temperatures of 8–40°C, pH 5.0–10.0 and NaCl concentrations of 0–7%. The predominant quinones (>30%) of this strain were MK-7(H2) and MK-7. Phylogenetic analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequence showed that strain K3514T was affiliated to the genus Lysinibacillus, with its closest relatives being Lysinibacillus mangiferihumi (98.3% sequence similarity), Lysinibacillus sphaericus (97.9% sequence similarity), Lysinibacillus fusiformis (97.4% sequence similarity), and Lysinibacillus xylanilyticus (97.3% sequence similarity). However, low levels of DNA-DNA relatedness values suggested that the isolate was distinct from the other closest Lysinibacillus species. Additionally, based on analysis of morphological, physiological, and biochemical characteristics, the isolate could be differentiated from the closest known relatives. Therefore, based on polyphasic taxonomic data, the novel isolate likely represents a novel species, for which the name Lysinibacillus tabacifolii sp. nov. and the type strain K3514T (=KCTC 33042T =CCTCC AB 2012050T) are proposed.

The purpose of this study is to estimate production efficiency andinvestigate determinant factors of production efficiency of controlled tomato. For this purpose, the stochastic frontier analysis is applied on the survey datafrom 63 farms of controlled tomato. The results show that land and capitalare important factors to have decisive effect on output. The results also showthat heating, height of greenhouse, cultivation area affect productionefficiency. The results of this paper may contribute to improving efficiency ofcontrolled tomato production.

Bio-based poly(lactic acid) (PLA) ternary systems were prepared by the solution blending of PLA,polybutylene succinate (PBS), and nano-CaCO3. The effects of PBS and nano-CaCO3 on the thermalstability, fracture toughness, mechanical properties, and morphology of PLA were investigated usingseveral techniques. The morphology of the systems was observed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The fracture toughness and flexural strength of PLAwere improved by the introduction of PBS and further enhanced by the addition of nano-CaCO3. Theelastic modulus of PLA decreased with the addition of PBS alone, whereas the elastic modulus increasedwith the simultaneous addition of PBS and nano-CaCO3.

This study investigates the incentive effects of good agricultural practices (GAP) certification on Taiwanese consumers` preferences. A choice experiment is designed for apple consumption in Taiwan. 456 Taiwanese consumers were surveyed and multinomial logit models were estimated. The results show that GAP certification is an important determinant of Taiwanese consumers` preferences and therefore affects evaluation and choice for country of origin. The results also indicate that Korean GAP certification increases the probability that Taiwanese consumers choose Korean apples significantly. Therefore, to promote export of apple, GAP certification should be strengthened by the government. The results of this paper may provide useful information to promote export of agricultural products and to improve GAP system.
