Given the gaps in the link between leadership, knowledge resource, and innovation capability, this study aims to examine the potential mediating role of knowledge sharing and moderating role of knowledge-centered culture in the relationship between transformational leadership and a firm’s capability for innovation. This study applied the Structural Equation Modeling to try out proposal hypotheses in the research model through a questionnaire survey from a sample of 301 participators in 115 small and medium firms in the field of tourism and hotel. The findings disclosed that knowledge-sharing behaviors significantly mediate the transformational leadership-innovation relationship. It highlights the significant impact of explicit knowledge sharing in comparison with the influence of tacit knowledge sharing on innovation capability. The paper also reveals the crucial role of knowledge-centered culture in boosting the knowledgesharing- innovation relationship. By exploring the mediating role of knowledge sharing and the moderator of knowledge-centered culture, the paper significantly brings insight into different mediating and moderating mechanisms to improve innovation capability. The paper significantly fills up the gaps and provides valuable initiatives on the mechanism of how transformational leadership and specific forms of knowledge-sharing behaviors positively affect innovation capability under the moderating role of knowledge-centered culture.

The study aims to examine the impact of productivity in addition to the policy of increasing the foreign investors’ ownership rate on the performance of businesses which were listed on Vietnam's stock exchange market from 2010 to 2017. With the database of 3.961 observations, the study employs a statistical method – multiple regression to estimate the relationship between labor productivity, foreign ownership as well as other firm-level characteristics and firm performance. Research findings show that increasing labor productivity and increasing foreign ownership rates help increase firm performance. In addition, except for financial leverage, variables such as liquidity and firm size have positive effects on firm performance measured by Tobin’s Q. These findings have theoretical contributions and practical implications for managers, investors and government in Vietnam. Managers should pay attention to improving labor productivity through employing incentive mechanisms, building a good working environment, investing in technology, etc. in order to enhance the firm performance. Investors could utilize the labor productivity and foreign ownership indicators to select stocks of good companies for investment. For Vietnamese government, relaxing the limit of foreign ownership and accelerating the divesting of State capital in Stateowned enterprises could help increase the investment scale of foreign investors and resulting in positive effects on the firm performance.
Boron-doped hydrogenated mixed-phase silicon as thermo-sensing films for infrared detectors
Phong Pham, Duy,Park, Jinjoo,Shin, Chonghoon,Kim, Sangho,Nam, Yonghyun,Kim, Geunho,Kim, Minsik,Yi, Junsin Elsevier 2018 Materials science in semiconductor processing Vol.74 No.-
<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Silicon materials have been widely used as thermo-sensing layers in infrared detectors or uncooled micro-bolometers. Parameters such as a large thermal coefficient of resistance (TCR), low sheet resistance (Rs), and low 1/f noise are important for high performance of these devices. However, there is always a trade-off between these parameters. For example, the crystalline silicon materials typically exhibit low Rs and 1/f noise, and significantly low TCR, while the amorphous silicon materials generally have large TCR, and considerably high Rs and 1/f noise. Consequently, the best trade-off can be achieved by using a mixed-phase structure of silicon materials, i.e. an intermediate form between the crystalline and amorphous structures. Herein we report the important characteristics of hydrogenated mixed-phase silicon films, deposited by the plasma-enhanced chemical vapour deposition process, for infrared detectors. The films in the mixed-phase structure showed high TCR values in the range of 2–3%K–1 and moderate sheet resistances in range of 10–40MΩsq−1. These results indicate that the mixed-phase silicon films are potential alternatives to conventional boron doped hydrogenated amorphous and microcrystalline silicon films for use as thermo-sensing layers in infrared detectors.</P>
A Novel Method for Estimating External Force: Simulation Study with a 4-DOF Robot Manipulator
Phong, Le Dinh,Choi, Junho,Lee, Woosub,Kang, Sungchul Korean Society for Precision Engineering 2015 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.16 No.4
This paper proposes an algorithm to estimate external force exerted on the end-effector of a robot manipulator using information from joint torque sensors (JTS). The algorithm is the combination of Time Delay Estimation (TDE) and input estimation technique where the external force is considered as an unknown input to the robot manipulator. Based on TDE's idea, the estimator which does not require an accurate dynamics model of the robot manipulator is developed. The simultaneous input and state estimation (SISE) is used to reject not only nonlinear uncertainties of the robot dynamics but also the noise of measurements. The performance of the proposed estimation algorithm is evaluated through simulation and experiment of a four degree-of-freedom manipulator and it demonstrates the stability and feasibility in estimating the external force. The estimation results show that this approach allows inexpensive sensors as joint torque sensors to be used instead of expensive ones as force/torque sensors in robot applications.

This research examines the mediation of intrinsic motivation (IP) in the relationship between psychological capital (Psycap) and innovative performance (IP) in the educational environment of the transitioning economy. A test was based on a convenient sample of 440 University lecturers participating in a hardcopy survey was collected from ten universities and colleges in Southern Vietnam, from April 2020 to December 2020, while social isolation is strictly enforced by the government (Covid-19). The hypotheses are then proposed and conducted using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and the structural equation modeling technique (SEM). The testing structural model results reveal that all the hypotheses are satisfied at the 5% significance level. Intrinsic motivation is a partial mediator in the linkage between psychological capital and innovative performance. These findings suggest that the importance of Psychological Capital (PsyCap) of workers promotes job performance in general, especially in individuals’ creativity in a transitioning market, Vietnam. In addition, Based on the research results, several solutions are also proposed to promote innovative performance in the conditions of education in Vietnam. Besides, the author also gave a few comments on the findings as well as the limitations that this study encountered, especially how the survey samples were collected.
OROMACS: A Design Framework for Multi-agent Control System
Phong Ba Dao 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2021 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.19 No.5
This paper presents a controller-agent-based design framework (named OROMACS) for the construction of hierarchically structured multi-agent control system (MACS). OROMACS uses the decentralized coordinationmechanism to build MACS. Each MACS can be in the form of an elementary controller-agent or a compositecontroller-agent. The latter consists of a group of elementary and/or composite controller-agents and a coordinator; the coordinator has a role to coordinate the activity behaviour of the whole group. The main idea in creatingcomposite controller-agents is to consider a group of coordinated controller-agents as if it is an individual controlleragent. Then, a composite controller-agent can be used in other groups, leading to hierarchical structures of MACS. To provide real-time features for MACS, the OROMACS framework has used the real-time OROCOS softwareframework as running environment. The OROMACS-based design method is illustrated through a design of MACSfor a single-axis electro-mechanical motion system using a linear motor with the dominant compliance in the transmission. The process starts with the design of an Operation Controller Agent and then reusing its whole designto develop a more complex system called Safe-Guarded MACS. Software-In-the-Loop (SIL) co-simulation resultshave demonstrated the applicability of the design method.
