본 논문에서는 실시간 분산 시스템의 객체지향 소프트웨어 시험을 위한 확장된 정형 시험 모델을 제안한다. 제안된 모델은 객체 관계 다이어그램, 객체 상태 다이어그램 및 객체내의 블럭흐름 다이어그램을 기반으로 하고 있으며, 동기화, 통신 형태, 시간의 제약성 등 실시간 분산 시스템의 주요 개념들을 반영하여 확장되고 있다. 제안된 정형 모델로부터 객체지향 소프트웨어 시험을 위한 방법과 도구들을 제시하고 일부 도구의 프로토타입을 구현하여 봄으로써 모델의 적용 가능성을 확인한 결과를 기술한다. In this paper, we propose an extended formal model for testing object -oriented real-time distributed systems. This model is based on Object Relation Diagram, Object State Diagram, and Block Branch Diagram, and extended to add the concept of real-time distributed system, such as, synchronization, communication type, and timing constraints. We suggest methods and utility tools for object-oriented software testing from the proposed formal model, and describe the validation result to show the applicability of the model by prototyping some of them.
The Role of Outstanding Foundation Awards in Fund Families

This study employs unique data concerning “Outstanding Foundation Awards” in Taiwan to investigate the determinant factors of winning awards and the contributions of award funds to the respective fund families. Our results show that fund fees, performance, age, volatility, family fees, and family award winning experiences are important predictors of winning awards. One-, three-, and five-year award funds charge higher fund fees over a 1-year postaward period; however, they do not experience an increase in their own fund/family flows after winning the awards.

The traditional sulfonylureas with long half-lives have sustained stimulatory effects on insulin secretion compared to the short-acting insulin secretagogue. In this study, we used the frequently sampled intravenous glucose tolerance test (FSIGT) to evaluate the insulin sensitivity (IS), glucose sensitivity (SG), and acute insulin response after glucose load (AIRg) after 4months treatment with either gliclazide or repaglinide. The design of study was randomizedcrossover. We enrolled 20 patients with new-onset type 2 diabetes (mean age, 49.3 years). Totally three FSIGTs were performed, one before and one after each of the two treatment periods as aforementioned. No significant differences in fasting plasma glucose, insulin, body mass index, blood pressure, glycated hemoglobin, or lipids were noted between the two treatments. After the repaglinide treatment, higher AIRg, lower IS, and lower SG were noted, but they did not reach statistical significance. The disposal index (DI) was also not significantly different between the two treatments. In conclusion, since non-significantly higher DI, AIRg, lower IS and SG were noted after repaglinide treatment, it might be a better treatment for diabetes, relative to gliclazide.
