      • 리파제 생산균주인 Pseudomonas sp. SCH-2의 분리 및 특성

        The feasibility of using lipase-producing bacterial cultures for lipid treatment, with the ultimate aim of application for effluent treatment was explored. One hundred and twenty isolates capable of degrading natural fat were obtained from different natural environment. Of isolates, one isolate which had high activity for lipase production was selected. On the basis of morphological and physiological tests, the isolate was identified as Pseudomonas sp. SCH-2. Pseudomonas sp. SCH-2 was maintained in M56 minimal medium which contained (per liter): 8.2g Na₂HPO₄·7H₂O; 2.7g KH₂PO₄; 1g (NH₄)₂SO₄; 0.00025g FeSO₄·7H₂O; 0.1g MgSO₄·7H₂O; 0.005g Ca(NO₃)₂; 4.5g yeast extract; 9㎖ olive oil and examined the optimum conditions for the production rate of lipase in M56 minimal medium. Additions of olive oil as a carbon source and (NH₄)₂SO₄as a nitrogen source showed maximum growth, and high producition rate of lipase. Also optimal pH and temperature for the production nate of lipase were pH 8.0 at 30℃. When SCH-2 was cultured at 30℃ for 48hours, the strain showed maximum growth and production rate of lipase was 746.45μmol/㎖. Resistances of the strain to various antibiotics, heavy metals and organic solvents were monitored. As the results, the strain was resisted against ampicillin, AgSO₄, Ni(NO₃)₂·6H₂O, n-decane, n-octane and n-heptane. When one mililiter of the culture broth of the strain per minute was passed through the column(D 0.4 cm × L 53 cm) contained beef tallow for 10hours, thirty three miligram of fatty acid in one mililiter of the effluence were released from beef tallow.

      • 단결정 Si(111) 위에 형성된 Ti-실리사이드에 대한 RBS 및 XRD 분석

        초고진공 상태에서 p형 Si(111)기판에 Ti을 증착한 후 고진공에서 열처리하여 Ti-실리사이드를 형성시켰으며, Ti-실리사이드의 상전이 및 형성운동학은 2 MeV⁴He? 이온 후방산란과 x-선 회절방법으로 규명하였다. 형성된 TiSi₂는 결정학적으로 C49(ZrSi₂)와 C54 구조의 두 종류로 확인되었다. C49 TiSi₂상은 열처리온도가 700℃이하의 저온에서 형성되었고, 700℃ 이상의 고온에서는 C54 TiSi₂상으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 확인된 C54 TiSi₂전이온도(??)는 700℃ 였고, TiSi₂형성온도 영역내에서 TiSi₂ 층두께(χ)와 열처리시간(t)의 관계는 저온(700℃ 이하)일 경우 ??이고, 고온(750℃ 이상)에서는 χ=ct+d 의 관계식이 만족됨을 알 수 있었다. 이것은 700℃ 이하에서 TiSi₂ 형성기구가 Si 확산에 의해 제어되며, 750℃ 이상에서는 핵형성 제어에 의하여 계면반응하는 것으로 나타났다. Titanium silicides were prepared by depositing titanium film on p-type Si(111) followed by annealing in ultra high vacuum. The growth kinetics of Ti-silicide has been studied by using ion backscattering spectrometry and x-ray diffractometry. Two crystallographic structures of Ti-silicide were identified the (ZrSi₂)structure and C54. The C49 TiSi₂ phase was formed at low annealing temperature(<700℃),and it transformed to the C54 phase over 700℃. The relation between the thickness of TiSi₂ layer(χ) and the annealing time(t) was ?? when annealing temperature was under 700℃ and χ=ct+d when that was over 750℃. The former implied that the formation of TiSi₂ was controlled by diffusion and the latter by nucleation of at the Ti/Si(111) interface.

      • 倭性 때죽나무 揷木繁殖에 관한 硏究

        This study was carried out to propagate Dwarf Japanese Snowbell(Styraxjaponicus) through cuttings in mist. The results were as follows : The best rooting result was obtained when the cuttings were soaked for ten seconds in a solution of 5000ppm of indolebutyric acid(IBA). Cuttings treated with IBA 10000ppm for ten seconds showed the best root weight including dry weight as well as root number. Rooting percentage averaged 52.9, 67.1, 84.3, 81.4% for untreated, 2000, 5000, 10000ppm IBA, respectively, after 70 days. The length of root taken 70 days after cutting under mist couldn't find out right relative correlation to different concentration of IBA solution. Rooted cuttings are easy to overwinter without difficulty in green house.

      • The association of serum vitamin D level with presence of metabolic syndrome and hypertension in middle-aged Korean subjects

        <P>Summary</P><P>Objective: </P><P>To examine the association of serum vitamin D level with metabolic syndrome (MetS) and hypertension (HTN) in middle-aged Korean subjects.</P><P>Design and subjects: </P><P>We conducted a population-based, cross-sectional survey of 1330 participants aged over 40 years (median age 65·8 years) in Chungju, Korea, in 2007. The 324 subjects, who were normotensive in 2003 and who attended a follow-up visit 4 years later, were included in an analysis of the association of serum vitamin D level with the risk of HTN.</P><P>Measurements: </P><P>Serum 25-hydroxy-vitamin D [25(OH)D] and PTH were measured in a central laboratory, using chemiluminescence assays.</P><P>Results: </P><P>The overall prevalence of the MetS in participants of this study was 45·3%. After adjusting for various covariates, subjects in the highest quintile group (61·4–116·8 nmol/l) compared with the lowest quintile group (10·0–29·7 nmol/l) of 25(OH)D had an odds ratio (OR) for having MetS of 0·35 (95% confidence intervals, CI, 0·22–0·56; <I>P</I> for trend <0·001). The median level of 25(OH)D was 46·8 nmol/l among 324 subjects who were normotensive in 2003. After multiple adjustment, the OR was substantially higher for new HTN (OR 2·74; 95% CI 1·40–5·34) in subjects with serum 25(OH)D levels below the median value compared with those above median. The inverse associations of vitamin D and MetS/HTN were unchanged after adjustment for PTH and serum calcium levels. There was no association between PTH and MetS.</P><P>Conclusions: </P><P>We found a strong inverse association of 25(OH)D levels with MetS and HTN in this middle-aged Korean population. Having vitamin D deficiency was associated with an increased risk of having MetS and HTN in this demographic group.</P>

      • 0.7 inch FED Panel system build-up by using proper sealing process

        FDE panel was successfully fabricated through the integration of a 0.7" diagonal Si-based Mo-tip FEA with 25${\times}$25 pixels, Y2O3:Eu or ZnO:Zn phosphor screen, and vacuum sealing through an exhausting glass tube, including a getter. The panel system was driven by an external driver circuit having pulse width modulation(PWM) driving scheme. Before character imaging, it was stabilized through tip aging by slowly increasing a pulse-mode emission current and phosphor aging by a coulombic charging process. After aging, luminescent characteristics such as emission uniformity, charging and arcing phenomena were shown to be improved significantly.

        추궁절개술시 척추마취에 대한 임상적 연구

        Feasibility and neurologic complications accompanying spinal anesthesia with variable specific gravities were examined in 56 lumbar disc operations from March 1997 to October 1978. Patients' ages ranged from 21 to 36 years with 54 cases of males and 2 females. On myelography, lateral and partial blocks were observed in 50 cases and total blocks in 6 cases. There cases were classified depending on the specific gravity and local anesthetics as follows; ·Isobaric group: a) 1% tetracaine solution, ampule, mixed with C.S.F., 20 cases b) tetracaine powder with C.S.F., 11 cases c) 10% procaine solution with C.S.F., 9 Cases ·Hyperbaric group: 1% tetracaine solution with 10% dextrose in water, 10 cases. ·Hypobaric group: tetracaine powder with water, 6 cases. Under isobaric, hyperbaric and hypobaric spinal anesthesia, good to exellent results were obtained in 90, 90 and 16.6% respectively. More than 10% of systolic blood pressure fall after block was seen in 15, 90 and 16.6% respectively. No neurologic sequalae were observed. Isobaric spinal anesthesia with tetracaine solution is indicated as safer for recently herniated lumbar disc operations.

        제올라이트를 함유한 부분활성화된 PAN복합체 섬유의 제조에 관한 연구

        아크릴로니트릴모노머를 전구체로하여 제올라이트를 함유한 부분활성화 PAN 복합체 섬유를 제조하였다. 중량평균 분자량 630,000이고, 다분산지수가 1.30인 방사 dope를 건습식 방사법(dry-jet wet spinning technique)으로 방사하였다. 제올라이트를 함유한 35-40㎛ 두께의 PAN섬유는 건습열 연신과정을 통해 배향도가 증가되었다, 같은 조건에서 얻어진 PAN섬유에 비하여 제올라이트를 함유한 PAN 복합체 섬유는 89%의 인장강도를 나타내었다. 고리화와 부분활성화 상태는 적외선분광 분석법과 X선회절 분석법을 이용하여 확인하였다. PAN 섬유의 부분활성화 이후에도 제올라이트의 함유에 따른 특성 피이크를 X선회절 분석법을 이용하여 확인할 수 있었다. 제올라이트를 함유한 PAN 복합체 섬유는 새로운 유무기 복합 흡착제로 사용을 기대할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. Partially activated polyacrylonitrile(PAN) composite fiber containing zeolite particle was prepared by using acrylonitrile(AN) as a precursor. Weight average molecular weight(Mw) and polydispersity index of spinning dope was 630,000 and 1.30 respectively. Dry-jet wet spinning technique was used for making PAN composite fiber. During, the dry-jet wet spinning process, PAN composite fiber of 35-45㎛ in diameter shows increased orientation. Initial elastic modulus of PAN composite fiber containing zeolite particles was 89 % of PAN fiber at the same experimental condition. The cyclization and activated state of PAN fiber were conformed by Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR) spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction(XRD). After the activation process, characteristic peaks of PAN composite fiber could be observed due to the incorporation of zeolite particles from XRD. Partially activated PAN composite fiber containing zeolite particles is expected to use as an organic-inorganic composite absorbent.
