To investigate the role of miR-1297 and the tumor suppressor gene PTEN in cell proliferation of testicular germ cell tumors (TGCT). MTT assays were used to test the effect of miR-1297 on proliferation of the NCCIT testicular germ cell tumor cell line. In NCCIT cells, the expression of PTEN was assessed by Western blotting further. In order to confirm target association between miR-1297 and 3'-UTR of PTEN, a luciferase reporter activity assay was employed. Moreover, roles of PTEN in proliferation of NCCIT cells were evaluated by transfection of PTEN siRNA. Proliferation of NCCIT cells was promoted by miR-1297 in a concentration-dependent manner. In addition, miR-1297 could bind to the 3'-UTR of PTEN based on luciferase reporter activity assay, and reduced expression of PTEN at protein level was found. Proliferation of NCCIT cells was significantly enhanced after knockdown of PTEN by siRNA. miR-1297 as a potential oncogene could induce cell proliferation by targeting PTEN in NCCIT cells.

Complex stress distributions often exist in ocean engineering structures. This stress influences structural vibrations. Finite Element Methods exhibit some shortcomings for solving non-uniform stress problems, such as an unclear physical interpretation, complicated operation, and large number of computations. Analytical methods research considers mainly uniform stress problems, and often, their methods cannot be applied in practical marine structures with non-uniform stress. In this paper, an analytical method is proposed to solve the vibration of plates with general stress distributions. Non-uniform stress is expressed as a special series, and the stress influence is inserted into a vibration equation that is solved through decoupling to obtain an analytical solution. This method has been verified using numerical examples and can be used in arbitrary stress distribution cases. This method requires fewer computations and it provides a clearer physical interpretation, so it has advantages in some qualitative research.

This paper sets up both a force balance equation and a three-dimensional geometric model of a flexible side plate in an intra-vane type pump, after analyzing the structure and mechanical properties of the plate. The formulas for calculating deformation were obtained, and the theoretical curve of change in deformation was determined. Then, the contour of deformation was obtained using software simulation. The calculated and simulated values of deformation of the flexible side plate, in three positions under four working pressures, were found to be close to one another, the relative error between them being less than 2%. Next, the formula for the calculation of oil film thickness was obtained, and the curve of the change in oil film thickness relative to the distance along the radial direction of the side plate was determined, considering the flexible side plate deformation. The oil film thickness for three flexible side plate positions were then tested through experiment. The calculated values of oil film thickness were also close to the tested values. Although there was a small difference, the relative error between them was less than 5% for the oil film thickness measured at its lowest point, which indicates the accuracy of the results obtained by the theoretical calculation.

The theory of Chinese medicine is a based theory to research the paranomarl function of human body including ESP and PK etc. The theory of the traditional Chinese medicine indictes that the life prosesses can be discribed by the system of five elements (SFE), which are: wood, fire, earth, metal and water. We take the SFE for a network consisted of this five elements (NFE), and study the characteries of the structure of this NFE. they include multi-cross character; directiong and irreversible character; mesomerism character; "open" character and Fuzzy character etc. Then, based on these characters, we simulate the partial function of NFE by using computer. The results of simulation show that the NFE is a very useful network to explain the physiological and pathological phenomenan of human body according to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine.
Flame Braze between Aluminum Alloy 5A06 and Low Carbon Steel Q235

By means of the flame braze, the welding problems on Aluminum alloy(5A06)and low carbon steel Q235) were mainly researched in this paper. The welding technology adopted in this paper is that a hot-dipped Aluminum coating of ZL102 Aluminum alloy was firstly performed on the surfaces of low carbon steel, then the layer of hot-dipped aluminum and aluminum alloy were welded by the shape of the lap joint. Through the analysis of the microstructure and tensile property of welded joint after the experiment, the experimental results expressed that good welded joint can be attained by application of flame brazing. Fracture location of the joint specimens appears in the coating layer by means of tensile test. The results show that the bond strength of the coating layer was less than that of the brazing seams.

This research comparatively studies three kinds of flux regulation methods, namely, stored capacitor discharge pulse (SCDP), constant current source pulse (CCSP), and quantitative flux regulation pulse (QFRP), which are used for hybrid permanent magnet (PM) axial field flux-switching memory machines (HPM-AFFSMMs). Through an analysis of the operation principle and the series hybrid PM flux regulation mechanism of the objective machine, the circuit topologies and flux regulation process of these flux regulation methods are addressed in detail. On the basis of a simulation, the flux regulation characteristics of the researched machine during the magnetization and demagnetization processes are comparatively evaluated. Then, machine performance, including back EMF, direct and quadrature axis inductances, and magnetization and demagnetization characteristics, is quantitatively investigated. Results show that the QFRP enables the HPM-AFFSMM to achieve a less harmonic component of back EMF by approximately 7.28% and 7.97% at the magnetization and demagnetization states, respectively, and a more complete magnetization process than the SCDP and CCSP.

Dietary and medicinal uses of Panax notoginseng have been associated with reduced risk of cancer. This study was designed to investigate the profiles of P. notoginseng saponin extract (PNSE), the major bioactive ingredients in P. notoginseng (Burk.) F.H. Chen, by high-performance liquid chromatography, and, for the first time, the anticancer effect of PNSE in the human colon cancer cell line LoVo was further evaluated. The major saponins present in PNSE were ginsenosides Rg1 (31.1%) and Rb1 (34.4%), and the total content of the eight saponins identified (notoginsenoside R1, ginsenosides Rg1, Re, Rb1, Rc, and Rd, and isomeric ginsenosides Rb2 and Rb3) was 81.7%, indicating that it was a highly purified standardized saponin extract. Furthermore, PNSE was found to have a markedly cytotoxic effect and antiproliferative activity against the LoVo cell line in a dose- and time-dependent manner. Flow cytometry analysis demonstrated that PNSE caused cell cycle arrest at S phase. Moreover, PNSE was found to possess antioxidative capacities in the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl free radical scavenging assay and hydroxyl radical scavenging assay in vitro. Taken together, the present results suggest that naturally occurring PNSE may provide significant natural defense against human colon cancer.
