      • Considerations for Web of Object Service Architecture on IoT Environment

        The internet is an optimal place to human as a producer or a consumer for sharing information until now. In the future, not only the human-generated information but also things will be connected into internet and these will evolve into internet of things(IoT) which can share the information thing-in-itself and its environment. Firstly, this paper proposes a service architecture which includes various devices for providing web base IoT services. Secondly, this paper also proposes a service platform which supports service orchestration and composition with device objectification and finally describes structure and functionalities of web of object gateway.

        Portfolio, Consumption and Voluntary Retirement Optimization Problem with Disutility and Subsistence Consumption Constraints

        In this paper, we obtain the optimal portfolio, consumption and voluntary retirement strategies of an investor with subsistence consumption constraints. And we apply subsistence consumption constraints to the investor's lifetime.

      • 실시간 응용을 위한 인위적인 바람의 생성

        실세계에서의 바람은 자연 발생적인 것과 인위적으로 생성한 것으로 분류할 수 있다. 이제까지의 연구 결과들은 자연 현상으로서의 바람을 모델링하였다. 본 논문에서는 사람의 입이나 선풍기, 에어컨 등에서 발생하는 인공적인 바람을 모델링하기 위한 바람 모델을 제시한다. 본 논문의 바람 모델에서는 생성된 바람이 도달하는 물체를 찾아내고, 그 물체에 가해지는 힘을 계산하는 방법을 제공한다. 특히, 이 모델은 가상 현실과 같은 실시간 처리가 필요한 분야들에서 사용 가능하도록 최적화된 계산을 수행하도록 설계되었다. 본 논문에서 제시한 방법은 기존의 자연 발생적인 바람 모델들과는 보완적인 관계에 있다. 이들 모델들을 통합하여 종합적인 바람 생성 시스템을 구성할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. Real world wind can be classified into two categories: natural wind and artificial wind. Artificial wind can be generated by human beings, air conditioners, electric fans, etc. In this paper, a model for artificial wind is presented. We also present methods to efficiently calculate the forces applied to the objects under influence of the artificial wind. Our model is designed for real-time applications such as virtual environments. A general wind generating system can be established through integrating our model with previous wind models those are concentrated on the natural wind generation.

        정중함을 위한 화행의 완화장치(mitigating devices)

        The purpose of this paper is to represent linguistic mitigating devices in Russian and to present a framework for a pragmatic analysis of mitigation. Mitigation is defined as a strategy for softening or reducing the strength of a speech act whose effects are unwelcome to the hearer. The negative character of the speech act for the addressee, its being a face-threatening act, is very important parameter of mitigation. So mitigation works in directive speech acts and in assertive speech acts, both in deontic and epistemic modality. Mitigation works in a multi-layered and multi-dimensional way, affecting a plurality of linguistic levels and interactional dimension. The linguistic mitigating devices are categorized into external and internal modification. The former include if-clauses, pre-sequences, clauses, grounders, the latter include different linguistic levels and various linguistic components. Internal mitigating devices cover three different linguistic levels: morphological-lexical, syntactic, and discourse-pragmatic level. In Russian, there are many different mitigating devices, such as aspect, conditional mood, modal words in morphological-lexical level; verb parentheticals, indirect quotation, indirect question, tag-question, passive structure - in syntactic level; indirect speech act, hints, and discourse ellipses - in discourse-pragmatic level. Function of mitigating devices can be distinguished according to the abstract component on which mitigation centers. This abstract scope can be gathered around three major focuses: the proposition, illocutionary force, and the deictic origin of the utterance. First, speaker's epistemic commitment to the propositional content weakens the speaker's degree of certainty about proposition. Second, speaker's downgrading of illocutionary force decreases the weight of imposition of directives. Third, speaker's avoidance of deictic origin of utterance, ascribing another source or shifted to another situation, has an effect on indirectness of utterance. By means of mitigation we may express respective, polite attitude towards addressee and we can reach the expected goal of communication. Thus mitigation establishes interpersonal interaction between speaker and hearer, and plays a very important role in various social activities.

        서비스 프로세스 내 고객유발성변동의 대응 전략에 관한 연구

        서비스 프로세스에서 고객의 이질성(heterogeneity)에 의해 나타나는 고객유발성변동은 프로세스 내 불확실성과 복잡성을 증가시키는 원인이 된다. 서비스 제공자는 이러한 고객유발성변동을 축소하거나 수용하는 전략적 대응을 통해 부정적 영향을 최소화하려 하지만, 각각의 대응은 운영 효율성과 서비스 품질 성과 간 상충 효과를 일으키는 것으로 알려져 있어 적절한 전략의 선택이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구는 고객유발성변동 대응 전략이 운영 효율성 및 서비스 품질에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하여 전략적 선택과 관련된 시사점을 제공하고자 한다. 고객유발성변동 대응 전략을 변동축소전략과 변동수용전략으로 구분하여 각 전략이 운영 효율성과 서비스 품질에 미치는 영향을 분석하였으며, 서비스 프로세스에서 서비스 직원의 역할에 집중하여 각 대응 전략과 서비스 직원의 능력 간 상호작용 효과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 변동축소전략은 운영 효율성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 변동수용전략은 서비스 품질에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 고객유발성변동 대응 전략과 직원 능력 간 상호작용 효과는 변동축소전략에서만 유의하게 나타났으며, 모두 음의 회귀 계수를 보여 직원 능력이 변동축소전략의 성과 영향을 약화시키는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 고객유발성변동 대응 전략의 선택에 있어 성과의 상충 관계 대신 상위 전략과의 정합성 및 직원 능력 수준을 더욱 고려해야 한다는 것을 시사한다. As customer-induced variability causes uncertainty and complexity of the service process, service providers try to minimize the negative effect by either reducing or accommodating such variability. It is acknowledged that there is a performance trade-off between these two strategic reactions, but little is known about the impact of strategic reaction to customer-induced variability on service performance. This study empirically tests this impact and the moderating effect of service employees’ capability on the relationship between the strategic reaction and performance. Using survey data of managers from the service industry, the regression results reveal that the variability reduction strategy has a positive effect on efficiency, while the variability accommodation strategy has a positive effect on service quality. In addition, the variability reduction strategy was found to negatively interact with employee capability to harm efficiency and service quality. This study provides empirical evidence that strategic reactions to customer-induced variability should align with performance orientation and employee capability.

        인식의 창(窓)으로서의 지각

        This paper presents some general descriptions of conceptualization of visual perception and focuses on some basic structure-dependent types of meaning of visual perception verb in Russian and its communicational function. A basic prototypical perception situation seems to be concerned with at least one of the two basic participants, that of the perceiver, or that of the perceived(stimulus). Extension of the meaning of the verbs observed might be based on some purely lexical features of perception verbs, when we get neutralization of the opposition specified vs. unspecified perception in terms of sense modalities, which is characteristic both of experiencer-verbs and stimulus-verbs of perception. There are cases of structure-dependent or syntax-imposed meaning which leads to distinguish general kinds of perception, called experiential and non-experiential(mental). The former seems to be more characteristic of perception verbs denoting direct specified acts of experience, while the latter is characteristic of the verbs of mediated perception. We can see in a non-epistemic or in an epistemic way. The non-epistemic type of see is characterized by lacking positive or negative belief content. Regarding the epistemic type of see, which is referred to as seeing that, three subtypes are distinguished based on the way the information is obtained: acquisition of knowledge can either be achieved through our primary epistemic seeing or secondary epistemic seeing, or independently of visual means. The epistemic type of seeing can be realized through imaging of perceived and can have some modal qualification indicating either the path of sources of evidence or the speaker's greater/lesser degree of certainty regarding the truth fullness of the information. As a result, the modal expressions, derived from visual perception verb can also be used to indicate evidentiality of source of information and speaker's uncertainty regarding the truth of the proposition.
