      • A case study on the effectiveness of a coaching method with a new training device for the acquisition of the Magyar in pommel horse

        Daisuke Murayama 한국코칭능력개발원 2008 Coach Vol.24 No.2

The element known as Travel forward in cross support with support leather, pommel, leather, pommel, leather (3/3) in pommel horse is commonly called the Magyar. This element is categorized as a D value (Code of Points, 2006), and many athletes adopt this element into their performances. Thus, the acquisition of this element is one of the most important training targets from the viewpoint of tactics in pommel horse. We invented a new training device based on the idea of methodical sequence of exercises (Fetz, 1964). This device was aimed at helping athletes to master the elements of the pommel horse by subdividing the practice stages. We also investigated the usefulness of this device for the acquisition of certain other elements in pommel horse (Watanabe & Murayama, 2007; Murayama, 2007). However, these studies didn't focus on the Magyar. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of a coaching method with this device for the acquisition of the Magyar. A coaching program for the acquisition of the Magyar was designed, and this program made use of the device. The program was then practiced by the students of a gymnastics club. Finally, the training process was analyzed from the viewpoint of phenomenological movement theory. The results were as follows: 1)The length of the training process decreased in spite of an increase in the number of practice stages. 2)The device facilitated the formation of a similar movement as the target movement (Magyar). 3)The movement conception of the target movement could be developed easily by repeating this movement. Building the correct movement conception is very important for the acquisition of technique (Grosser & Neumaier, 1982). Therefore, it is concluded that the coaching method with our training device is effective for the acquisition of the Magyar.

Noisy Data Aggregation with Independent Sensors: Insights and Open Problems

Murayama, Tatsuto,Davis, Peter Korea Multimedia Society 2016 The journal of multimedia information system Vol.3 No.2

Our networked world has been growing exponentially fast. The explosion in volume of machine-to-machine (M2M) transactions threatens to exceed the transport capacity of the networks that link them. Therefore, it is quite essential to reconsider the tradeoff between using many data sets versus using good data sets. We focus on this tradeoff in the context of the quality of information aggregated from many sensors in a noisy environment. We start with a basic theoretical model considered in the famous "CEO problem'' in the field of information theory. From a point of view of large deviations, we successfully find a simple statement for the optimal strategies under the limited network capacity condition. Moreover, we propose an open problem for a sensor network scenario and report a numerical result.

      • Interaction of Aluminum with PHFτ in Alzheimer's Disease Neurofibrillary Degeneration Evidenced by Desferrioxamine-Assisted Chelating Autoclave Method

        Murayama, Harunobu,Shin, Ryong-Woon,Jun, Higuchi,Shibuya, Satoshi,Muramoto, Tamaki,Kitamoto, Tetsutuki 한림대학교 환경·생명과학연구소 2002 [일송 국제심포지엄] 노화와 만성퇴행성 신경질환 Vol.- No.4

To demonstrate that aluminum Ⅲ (AI) interacts with PHFτ in neurofibrillary degeneration (NFD) of Alzheimer's disease (AD) brain, we developed a "chelating autoclave method" that allows AI chelation by using trivalent-cationic chelator desferrioxamine. Its application to AD brain sections before Morin histochemistry for AI attenuated the positive fluorescence of neurofibrillary tangles, indicating AI removal from them. This method, applied for immunostaining with phosphorylation-dependent anti-τ antibodies, significantly enhanced the PHFτ immunoreactivity of the NFD. These results suggest that each of the phosphorylated epitopes in PHFτ are partially masked by AI binding. Incubation of AD sections with AICI_3 before Morin staining revealed AI accumulation with association to neurofibrillary tangles. Such incubation before immunostaining with the phosphorylation-dependent anti-τ antibodies abolished the immunolabeling of the NFD and this abolition was reversed by the AI chelation. These findings indicate cumulative AI binding to and thereby antigenic masking of the phosphorylated epitopes of PHFτ. AI binding was further documented for electrophoretically-resolved PHFτ on immunoblots, indication direct AI binding to PHFτ. In vitro aggregation by AICI_3 was observed for PHFτ but was lost on dephosphorylation of PHFτ. Taken together, phosphorylation-dependent and direct PHFτ-AI interaction occurs in the NFD of the AD brain. (Am J Pathol 1999, 155:877-885)

Social work for vulnerable and marginalized people during COVID‐19 in Japan

        Murayama Yoh,Hasebe Masami,Yamazaki Sachiko,Yamaguchi Jun,Kobayashi Erika 한국사회복지학회 2023 Asian Social Work and Policy Review Vol.17 No.3

During the Coronavirus disease pandemic (COVID‐19), working conditions became increasingly difficult for social workers, as they had to deal with new challenges and added workloads. This study describes the difficulties faced by social workers of the Self‐Reliance Support System in Japan and clarifies the solution for each difficulty while conducting their duties to support vulnerable people during COVID‐19. To this end, we conducted an open‐ended questionnaire survey and an interview survey. The data were analyzed using qualitative coding. The results showed that the difficulties faced in consultation support work included supporting hitherto socially invisible groups such as sole traders and foreigners. Social workers also faced an ethical dilemma, as they could not provide support to clients who “did not try to solve their problems” or for whom “interventional attempts did not lead to counseling support” and who only sought benefits at the risk of becoming isolated and impoverished. Following this, consultants collaborated to resolve such difficulties while maximizing the use of various local resources. The study's findings clarify that it would be effective to understand the difficulties faced by social workers to obtain hints toward their resolution.

Pump-Probe Study of Carrier-Spin Injection in a Diluted Magnetic Double Quantum Well of CdMnTe/CdTe

        A. Murayama,K. Nishibayashi,N. Kono,K. Saito,I. Souma,Y. Oka 한국물리학회 2008 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.53 No.1

We study the dynamics of carrier-spin injection in a diluted magnetic semiconductor double quantum well (DMS-DQW) of CdMnTe/CdTe by means of pump-probe absorption spectroscopy. The time dependences of the absorption saturation intensity show the injection dynamics of spinpolarized electrons and heavy holes (hhs) from the DMS-CdMnTe into the non-magnetic CdTe wells, where separate tunneling of the electron and the hh is directly elucidated with time constants of 150 ps and 1 ns, respectively. The degree of circular polarization P of the absorption saturation increases from 0 to 70 ps after pumping in the non-magnetic CdTe well, which is caused by the injection of polarized electron spins in the DMS well. We observe a systematic dependence of the rise time of P on the magnetic eld. The faster polarization of the electron spin in the DMS well results in a faster electron-spin injection. The electron's spin polarization is accelerated in the DMS well by LO-phonon scattering at 6 T, where the electron spin splitting is close to the one-LO-phonon energy, which enables us to demonstrate a fast electron-spin injection with a time constant of 10 ps. • A practical report on the coaching of "Inner front support on low bar – clear hip circle through handstand with flight to hang on high bar (Schaposchnikova) " of uneven bars in artistic gymnastics

Daisuke MURAYAMA 한국코칭능력개발원 2021 International Journal of Coaching Science Vol.15 No.2

In the research trend of international gymnastics research, biomechanical analysis and sociological research of techniques are the main focus, and the development of teaching methods for techniques is currently entrusted to coaches. The coaching method of "Inner front support on low bar – clear hip circle through handstand with flight to hang on high bar (Schaposchnikova)" are not report. The purpose of this study was to report on the author"s original coaching process of Schaposchnikova and to obtain useful knowledge for the development of teaching methods for the element. The author has coached Schaposchnikova for two gymnast so far. The coaching process and the process of modifying the coaching method based on the experience were proposal of coaching method, and arrangement of coaching methods based on the experience of coach for gymnast-A & gymnast-B. In this report, a coaching method has been proposed for Schaposchnikova, which has not been reported so far, and it has been clarified that the coaching process can be validated to a certain extent based on the coaching experience of the two athletes. And this experience not only demonstrated the importance of pre-practice readiness checks, but also showed that at each practice stage, the coach was required to have the ability to decide whether to proceed to the next step or not.

      • A Parallel Simulated Annealing on Distributed Computing Resources

Masashi Murayama,Morikazu Nakamura 대한전자공학회 2008 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2008 No.7

In this paper, we present a parallel simulated annealing (SA) on distributed computing resources. The parallel SA include two types of cooperation mechanism: inner group and inter group cooperations. In the inner group cooperation, SA processes start from the same initial point, however, move to different direction. That is, two concepts: concentration and diversity are included. On the other hand, the inter group cooperation is for load balancing which is performed based on search load factor. Therefore it is useful to balance searching load by reassigning dynamically processors from light load groups to heavy load groups. Computer experiment evaluates effectiveness of the proposed parallel SA.
