Political attitude estimation through Facebook like: a South Korean case study
Muhammad Eka Wijaya,Meer Sadeq Billah,안희준 서울대학교행정대학원 2018 Asian Journal of Political Science Vol.26 No.1
Recently numerous studies are conducted to estimate the human personality from the online social activities. This paper develops a comprehensive model for political attitude estimation leveraging the Facebook Like information of the users. We designed a Facebook Crawler that efficiently collects data overcoming the difficulties in crawling Ajax enabled Facebook pages. We show that the category level selection can reduce the data analysis complexity utilizing the sparsity of the huge like-attitude matrix. In the Korean Facebook users’ context, only 28 criteria (3% of the total) can estimate the political polarity of the user with high accuracy (AUC of 0.82).

Plant secondary metabolites have been recently used for the synthesis of different nanoparticles. The present investigation aimed at evaluating the effect of gold (AuNPs) and silver (AgNPs) nanoparticles synthesized using Acalypha fruticosa leaf extracts to control the mosquito Culex pipiens. The A. fruticosa AuNPs and AgNPs spectra displayed their maximum absorption at 550 nm and 440 nm, respectively. The infrared spectra revealed different functional groups related to different chemical compounds. The larval mortality of aqueous leaf extract of A. fruticosa was 499.54 ppm (LC 50 ) and 1734.06 ppm (LC 90 ) after 24 h of treatment. This study revealed that AuNP (LC 50 , 30.2 and LC 90 , 104.83 ppm) and AgNP (LC 50 , 52.86 and LC 90 , 157.227 ppm) preparations were highly effective compared to the A. fruticosa extract alone and also more affordable, as a smaller amount was required. The present findings show the potential larvicidal effect of the synthesized AuNPs and AgNPs for the control of mosquito-mediated disease transmission.
The Effect of Sc Promoter on the Performance of Co/TiO2–P25 Catalyst in Dry Reforming of Methane

In the present work, the effect of scandium (Sc) promoter on the performance of Co/TiO2–P25 catalyst in dry reforming of methane has been investigated. The catalysts were prepared by the incipient wet impregnation technique. For each catalyst, the Co loading was fixed at 5 wt %, while the Sc loading was varied from 0.0 to 2.0 wt %. The experiments were carried out at atmospheric pressure in a micro tubular reactor at a temperature of 700 °C. For better understanding and comparison, the catalysts were characterized by various techniques such as Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET), X-ray diffraction (XRD), H2-temperature-programmed reduction (TPR), CO2-temperature-programmed desorption (TPD), and thermogravimetric analyses (TGA). The results revealed that the promotion of Co/TiO2–P25 catalyst with Sc has a significant impact on its catalytic performance and the amount of carbon deposition. The doping of Co/TiO2–P25 catalyst with Sc improves the basicity and enhances the metal support interaction in the catalyst. At higher Sc loading, Co metal oxidation became substantial that triggered severe catalyst deactivation. Amongst all Sc-promoted catalysts, 0.75 wt % Sc-promoted catalyst exhibited the highest CH4 and CO2 activity with minimum deactivation.

Homestead agroforestry system plays a great role in the subsistence livelihoods of rural Bangladesh. Segmentation of the agroforestry components in the homestead can show a detail scenario of the contribution and dynamics of this system. To ascertain the contribution of homestead agroforestry components to the rural livelihoods of the Old Brahmaputra floodplain area of Bangladesh, a sample survey was conducted. To determine what products contribute the rural livelihoods at what scale, the study was undertaken. A total of 14 agroforestry products and their utilization practices in the traditional homesteads were identified. All portions of the three products were found to be utilized by their own and all portions of only one product found to be sold to the market. Rest of the agroforestry products had both own utilization and sale to the market. It was revealed that from the sale of the products to the market 27,259 tk./year revenue was earned by a household owner. Fuel supply, fruit production, vegetable production, protein supplementary sources were found as the important contribution of the homestead agroforestry system. The study shows an effective combination of the agroforestry components in the homestead, which are capable to support the subsistence livelihoods of the rural people of Bangladesh. It suggests some more research activities to explore the socio-biological interaction among them. The findings of the study may be necessary for the policy makers of the agroforestry development in Bangladesh. However, the findings prove the hypothesis.

The effect of addition of strontium in Co based catalysts during CO2 reforming of methane wasinvestigated in the temperature range 500–700℃. The Co/γ-Al2O3 supported catalysts with strontiumas a promoter (0–2.25 wt%) were prepared by incipient wet impregnation method. Numeroustechniques such as N2 adsorption–desorption isotherm, H2 temperature-programmed reduction (TPR),temperature-programmed desorption (TPD), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA),Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), pulse chemisorption and temperature-programmed oxidation(TPO) were applied for characterization of fresh and spent catalysts. The results of characterizations andcatalyst activity test revealed that introduction of Sr in Co/γ-Al2O3 catalyst had significant effect onstability and coke suppression. The Sr addition improves the metal–support interaction as well asenhances the Lewis basicity of the catalyst. The improvement in basicity helps the chemisorption anddissociation of CO2 over the catalyst which in turn reduces carbon deposition.

Chrysomya saffranea is an insect that is important in criminal forensics as it plays a large role in decomposition on human cadavers. In this paper, the different developmental stages of C. saffranea flies were studied in the laboratory on different food, such as meat, liver, fat tissue and mixed food, to test whether these media affect the development of their larvae and have an impact on the calculation of the post-mortem interval. Our results indicated a significant growth enhancement among flies that fed on the mixed food (pure fat, meat and liver minced in equal proportions) compared with those that fed on minced (pure fat tissues, pure meat of and minced liver) of buffalo. The present results also confirmed the impact of food on the growth of C. saffranea, as well as the post-mortem interval PMI.
