Radio Inference Analysis for WPT Embedded Digital Living Things in Coexistence with NFC Devices in Smart Home Microgrid Facility

        Yan-Ming Cheng,이민우,차재상,Cheng Liu,이일규 대한전기학회 2019 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.14 No.3

The rapid development of wireless power transfer (WPT) in mobile devices and Internet of Things (IoT) Technologies inspires the research interest to support the wireless power charging capability on digital living equipment to manage energy sources eff ectively. As energy consumption in our day to day life is steadily increases the demand, the trend for energy harvesting technology also grows and there is an increasing number of an independent IoT based microgrid facility is built using solar panels in smart home. The digital living things are usually placed in a narrow space with microgrid facility. However, The IoT connected digital living is placed independently in a large space. The WPT will give interference to electrical equipments and electric utility meter in microgrid facility. This paper is focused on analyzing the coexistence between WPT and electric utility meter in an IoT based smart home microgrid facility. The separation distance between WPT and electric utility meter and the allowable numbers of WPT are suggested in order to protect electric utility meter from interference of WPT on the basis of interference scenario. The Monte Carlo method is used for the impact analysis of WPT supporting digital living things on energy utility meter built-in with Near Field Communication.

Fusion Expression and Immunogenicity of EHEC EspA-Stx2A1 Protein: Implications for the Vaccine Development

        Yan Cheng,Youjun Feng,Ping Luo,Jiang Gu,Shu Yu,Wei-jun Zhang,Yan-qing Liu,Qing-xu Wang,Quan-ming Zou,Xu-hu Mao 한국미생물학회 2009 The journal of microbiology Vol.47 No.4

Shiga toxin 2 (Stx2) is a major virulence factor for enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli (EHEC), which is encoded by λ lysogenic phage integrated into EHEC chromosome. Stx2A1, A1 subunit of Stx2 toxin has gathered extensive concerns due to its potential of being developed into a vaccine candidate. However, the substantial progress is hampered in part for the lack of a suitable in vitro expression system. Here we report use of the prokaryotic system pET-28a::espA-Stx2A1/BL21 to carry out the fusion expression of Stx2A1 which is linked to E. coli secreted protein A (EspA) at its N-terminus. Under the IPTG induction, EspA- Stx2A1 fusion protein in the form of inclusion body was obtained successfully, whose expression level can reach about 40% of total bacterial protein at 25°C, much higher than that at 37°C. Western blot test suggested the refolded fusion protein is of excellent immuno-reactivity with both monoclonal antibodies, which are specific to EspA and Stx2A1, respectively. Anti-sera from Balb/c mice immunized with the EspA-Stx2A1 fusion protein were found to exhibit strong neutralization activity and protection capability in vitro and in vivo. These data have provided a novel feasible method to produce Stx2A1 in large scale in vitro, which is implicated for the development of multivalent subunit vaccines candidate against EHEC O157:H7 infections.

A new power supply strategy for high power rectifying units in electrolytic copper process

        Liu He-Miao,Zhao Yu-Lian,Cheng Yan-Ming,Wu Jing,Al Shurafa Mahmoud A. M.,Liu Cheng,Lee Il-Kyoo 대한전기학회 2022 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.17 No.2

For achieving the minimum energy consumption in electrolytic copper process, this paper proposes a power supply optimization strategy based on the improved BP neural network for high-power electrolytic copper rectifying units to eff ectively improve the utilization rate of electric energy, reduce the production cost, and achieve high effi ciency and energy saving. Aiming to operation scenarios including normal operation of rectifi ers, fault of random one rectifi er, fault of random two rectifi ers and number change of electrolytic tanks, the output current of each rectifi er, transformer gears and control angle of thyristor are obtained under these four scenarios by the proposed power supply strategy. The simulation results indicate that compared with BP neural network and PSO optimizing BP(PSO-BP)neural network, the prediction error of power supply strategy of GA optimizing BP (GA-BP) neural network is the minimum. Consequently, the optimal control of the output current of each rectifi er is obtained by using GA-BP neural network, and the stabilized current precision of total output current can be kept at 0.003–0.005, which verifi es the eff ectivity and feasibility of the proposed power supply optimization strategy, which provides valuable guidance and reference for the future design of high-power power supply system in electrolytic copper or other electrolytic metals.

A Back Propagation Neural Network with Double Learning Rate for PID Controller in Phase-Shifted Full-Bridge Soft-switching Power Supply

        Yan-Ming Cheng,Cheng Liu,Jing Wu,He-Miao Liu,Il-Kyoo Lee,Jing Niu,조주필,구경완,Min-Woo Lee,우덕근 대한전기학회 2020 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.15 No.6

This paper mainly focuses on the control strategy for phase-shifting full-bridge soft switching electrolytic silver power supply based on Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) soft switching technology. Taking into consideration the low performance of traditional PID control for phase-shifting full-bridge soft-switching, this paper introduce a PID improved by Back Propagation (BP) neural network with one single learning rate which is used to calculate weights from the input layer to the hidden layer and weights from the hidden layer to the output layer. After testing, it is found that setting independent learning rate for calculation of weights from the input layer to the hidden layer and weights from the hidden layer to the output layer which will not have an adverse eff ect on the design of the controller. Instead, the learning rate can be set according to the respective characteristics of the weights between the two layers, which is called double learning rate BP neural network PID. The simulation results indicate that compared with the single learning rate BP neural network PID control, the double learning rate BP neural network control has higher response speed, less over-shoot, short time to enter the steady state and strong immunity.

      • Fenofibrate Increases Radiosensitivity in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma via Inducing G2/M Arrest and Apoptosis

        Liu, Jia,Ge, Yang-Yang,Zhu, Hong-Cheng,Yang, Xi,Cai, Jing,Zhang, Chi,Lu, Jing,Zhan, Liang-Liang,Qin, Qin,Yang, Yan,Yang, Yue-Hua,Zhang, Hao,Chen, Xiao-Chen,Liu, Zhe-Ming,Ma, Jian-Xin,Cheng, Hong-Yan,S Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.16

Radiation therapy is an important treatment for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). However, how to promote radiation sensitivity in HNSCC remains a challenge. This study aimed to investigate the radiosensitizing effects of fenofibrate on HNSCC and explore the underlying mechanisms. HNSCC cell lines CNE-2 and KB were subjected to ionizing radiation (IR), in the presence or absence of fenofibrate treatment. Cell growth and survival, apoptosis and cell cycle were evaluated. In addition, CNE-2 cells were xenografted into nude mice and subjected to IR and/or fenofibrate treatment. The expression of cyclinB and CDK1 was detected by Western blotting. Our results showed that fenofibrate efficiently radiosensitized HNSCC cells and xenografts in mice, and induced apoptosis and G2/M arrest via reducing the activity of the CDK1/cyclinB1 kinase complex. These data suggest that fenofibrate could be a promising radiosensitizer for HNSCC radiotherapy.

      • Adjuvant Radiotherapy after Breast Conserving Treatment for Breast Cancer:A Dosimetric Comparison between Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy and Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy

        Liu, Zhe-Ming,Ge, Xiao-Lin,Chen, Jia-Yan,Wang, Pei-Pei,Zhang, Chi,Yang, Xi,Zhu, Hong-Cheng,Liu, Jia,Qin, Qin,Xu, Li-Ping,Lu, Jing,Zhan, Liang-Liang,Cheng, Hong-Yan,Sun, Xin-Chen Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2015 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.16 No.8

Background: Radiotherapy is an important treatment of choice for breast cancer patients after breast-conserving surgery, and we compare the feasibility of using dual arc volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT2), single arc volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT1) and Multi-beam Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (M-IMRT) on patients after breast-conserving surgery. Materials and Methods: Thirty patients with breast cancer (half right-sided and half left-sided) treated by conservative lumpectomy and requiring whole breast radiotherapy with tumor bed boost were planned with three different radiotherapy techniques: 1) VMAT1; 2) VMAT2; 3) M-IMRT. The distributions for the planning target volume (PTV) and organs at risk (OARs) were compared. Dosimetries for all the techniques were compared. Results: All three techniques satisfied the dose constraint well. VMAT2 showed no obvious difference in the homogeneity index (HI) and conformity index (CI) of the PTV with respect to M-IMRT and VMAT1. VMAT2 clearly improved the treatment efficiency and can also decrease the mean dose and V5Gy of the contralateral lung. The mean dose and maximum dose of the spinal cord and contralateral breast were lower for VMAT2 than the other two techniques. The very low dose distribution (V1Gy) of the contralateral breast also showed great reduction in VMAT2 compared with the other two techniques. For the ipsilateral lung of right-sided breast cancer, the mean dose was decreased significantly in VMAT2 compared with VMAT1 and M-IMRT. The V20Gy and V30Gy of the ipsilateral lung of the left-sided breast cancer for VMAT2 showed obvious reduction compared with the other two techniques. The heart statistics of VMAT2 also decreased considerably compared to VMAT1 and M-IMRT. Conclusions: Compared to the other two techniques, the dual arc volumetric modulated arc therapy technique reduced radiation dose exposure to the organs at risk and maintained a reasonable target dose distribution.

      • Research on the Matthews Correlation Coefficients Metrics of Personalized Recommendation Algorithm Evaluation

        Yingbo Liu,Jiujun Cheng,Chendan Yan,Xiao Wu,Fuzhen Chen 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Hybrid Information Techno Vol.8 No.1

The personalized recommendation systems could better improve the personalized service for network user and alleviate the problem of information overload in the Internet. As we all know, the key point of being a successful recommendation system is the performance of recommendation algorithm. When scholars put forward some new recommendation algorithms, they claim that the new algorithms have been improved in some respects, better than previous algorithm. So we need some evaluation metrics to evaluate the algorithm performance. Due to the scholar didn’t fully understand the evaluation mechanism of recommendation algorithms. They mainly emphasized some specific evaluation metrics like Accuracy, Diversity. What’s more, the academia did not establish a complete and unified assessment of recommendation algorithms evaluation system which is credibility to do the work of recommendation evaluation. So how to do this work objective and reasonable is still a challengeable task. In this article, we discussed the present evaluation metrics with its respective advantages and disadvantages. Then, we put forward to use the Matthews Correlation Coefficient to evaluate the recommendation algorithm’s performance. All this based on an open source projects called mahout which provides a rich set of components to construct the classic recommendation algorithm. The results of the experiments show that the applicability of Matthews correlation coefficient in the relative evaluation work of recommendation algorithm.

Experimental Study and Fine-Tuned Simulation of Cable-Joint Pair Slipping in the Cable-Supported Structure

        Renzhang Yan,Chunling Yan,Shuai Wang,Chongsheng Cheng,Ting Liu,Hongbo Liu 한국강구조학회 2023 International Journal of Steel Structures Vol.23 No.1

During the tensioning process of the cable-supported structure, the sliding friction between cable wires and joint will have a great influence on the mechanical properties of the structure. However, due to the complex structure of the cable and the combined action of bending deformation and large pre-tension at the cable-strut joint, it is difficult to accurately determine the coefficient of sliding friction (CSF) between cable wires and joint, and thus the overall mechanical properties of the structure cannot be accurately evaluated. Based on the twisting characteristics of the cable, this paper establishes a friction-slip test model and a refined numerical model to carry out detailed study of the mechanical behavior of contact between cable wires and joint during the tensioning process. Firstly, combined with the calculation results of contact mechanics, it is finds that the stress distribution at straight and curved sections of the cable are non-uniform along its axis and each cross section, and the non-uniformity coefficient of the internal force distribution of the cable is further quantified. At the same time, the local bending of the cable will intensify the uneven stress distribution in the circumferential direction of the cable. The non-uniformity of stress reveals the contact working mechanism of the cable-joint pair. Then, the change of the prestress loss between cable wires and joint with the tensioning process is analyzed, and the parametric analysis is conducted to reveal the effect of the cable included angle, tensile force, and lay length on the CSF. The results find that the prestress loss increases approximately linearly with the increase of tension force and decreases with the increase of the cable included angle, but the CSF is less affected by the lay length during the tensioning process. Finally, a method for valuing the CSF of the cable-supported structure is developed.
