In the present study, we identified genes that are putatively involved in the production of fungal 10-hydroxycamptothecin via transcriptome sequencing and characterization of the Xylaria sp. M71 treated with salicylic acid (SA). A total of 60,664,200 raw reads were assembled into 26,044 unigenes. BLAST assigned 8,767 (33.7%) and 10,840 (41.6%) unigenes to 40 Gene Ontology (GO) annotations and 108 Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathways, respectively. A total of 3,713 unigenes comprising 1,504 upregulated and 2,209 downregulated unigenes were found to be differentially expressed between SA-induced and control fungi. Based on the camptothecin biosynthesis pathway in plants, 13 functional genes of Xylaria sp. M71 were mapped to the mevalonate (MVA) pathway, suggesting that the fungal 10-hydroxycamptothecin is produced via the MVA pathway. In summary, analysis of the Xylaria sp. M71 transcriptome allowed the identification of unigenes that are putatively involved in 10-hydroxycamptothecin biosynthesis in fungi.

Intraparenchymal meningiomas without dural attachment are extremely rare, especially when they occur in basal ganglia region in child. An 8-year-old boy was admitted at our hospital, complaining of recurrent headache and vomiting for 3 months. Neurological examination showed impaired vision and mild paresis of the left extremities. Magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated a lesion located in the right basal ganglia region extending to superasellar cistern with solid, multiple cystic and necrotic components. Computed tomography revealed calcification within the mass. Due to the anterior cerebral artery involvement, a subtotal resection was achieved and postoperative radiotherapy was recommended. Histopathological examination indicated that the lesion was an atypical meningioma. The postoperative rehabilitation was uneventful. Mildly impaired vision and motor weakness of left extremities improved significantly and the patient returned to normal life after surgery. To our knowledge, intraparenchymal atypical meningioma in basal ganglia extending to superasellar cistern was never reported. The significance in differential diagnosis of lesions in basal ganglia should be emphasized.

Cheese consumption has been gradually increased in China. However, both the manufacturing process of cheese and the utilization of its main by-product were not well developed. Based on the sensory evaluation, Box-Behnken Design (BBD) was performed in the present study to optimize the cheese processing, which was proved more suitable for Chinese. The optimal parameters were: rennet 0.052 g/L, start culture 0.025 g/L and CaCl2 0.1 g/L. The composition analysis of fresh bovine milk and whey showed that whey contained most of the soluble nutrients of milk, which indicated that whey was a potential resource of cyclic adenosine-3’, 5’-monophosphate (cAMP). Thus, the cAMP was isolated from whey, the results of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis showed that the macroporous adsorption resins (MAR) D290 could increase the concentration of cAMP from 0.058 μmol/mL to 0.095 μmol/mL. We firstly purified the cAMP from the whey, which could become a new source of cAMP.

To shorten the production cycle of Zaodan, this study first pickled Zaodan by a novel technology -vacuum decompression technology. Vacuum decompression technology could reduce the pickling time of Zaodan from 20wkto about 9wk.The protein content, moisture and pH of the Zaodan egg white gradually decreased with a concomitant increase in salt during the pickling process. The total sulfhydryl group (SH) group content of the egg white proteins was increased to 2.43×10-3mol/L after being pickled for 30 d, whereas the content of disulphide bonds (SS) was reduced to 23.35×10-3mol/L. The surface hydrophobicity was lowest after pickling for 30 d. In addition, great changes occurred in the secondary structure of the egg white proteins after pickling for 20 d. The disappearance of ovomucin was noticeable based on sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis analysis.

Due to the complex structure and wide excitations of range extender, the misfire and stator short-circuit coupling fault is easy to occur. Therefore, it is necessary to study the coupling fault mechanism of range extender, analyze the cause of the fault and the evolution law of fault, and diagnose the coupling fault through coupling fault characteristics ultimately. In this paper, a range extender is taken as research object. By establishing a nonlinear dynamic model and using Runge-Kutta method with variable step size, the dynamic response characteristics of system under different working conditions are analyzed to study the single fault and coupling fault mechanism. Then through the finite element analysis and practical experiments, the feasibility of coupled fault diagnosis is verified. The results show that when misfire fault and stator short-circuit fault occur at the same time, the vibration intensity of coupling fault is greater than that of single fault, and the 0.5- and 3.0-order harmonic amplitudes of horizontal vibration speed increase with the coupling fault.
A New Roaming Authentication Framework For Wireless Communication

Roaming authentication protocol is widely used in wireless network which can enable a seamless service for the mobile users. However, the classical approach requires the home server`s participation during the authentication between the mobile user and the foreign server. So the more the roaming requests are performed the heavier burden will be on the home server. In this paper, we propose a new roaming authentication framework for wireless communication without the home server`s participation. The new roaming authentication protocol in the new framework takes advantage of the ID-based cryptography and provides user anonymity. It has good performance compared with the roaming authentication protocols whose authentication do not need the home server`s participation in terms of security and computation costs. Moreover, a new User-to-User authentication protocol in the new framework is also present. All the authentications proposed in this paper can be regarded as a common construction and can be applied to various kinds of wireless networks such as Cellular Networks, Wireless Mesh Networks and Vehicle Networks.
MISFIRE FAULT DIAGNOSIS OF RANGE EXTENDER BASED ON HARMONIC ANALYSIS

For an Extended-Range Electric Vehicle (E-REV), the misfire failure of the range extender can result in working condition deterioration, mileage decrease, vibration and noise increase, and other adverse consequences. The relationship of the shaft instantaneous angular speed (IAS) signal and the misfire fault of the range extender was studied by harmonic analysis. Based on the theory of shafting torsional vibration, the range extender dynamics model was developed to analyze the changing trend of the shaft IAS theoretically. Then, the shaft IAS signal under different working conditions was simulated using a developed range extender rigid-flexible hybrid multi-body dynamics model. It is found that the 0.5-order harmonic phase and the amplitude of range extender IAS can be used as the characteristic parameters in misfire fault diagnosis, which has been verified by experiments on an engine bench.
