Dielectric and pyroelectric activities in Pb(Zr1xTix)O3 ceramics: The role of the phase transition effects

        Libing Chen,Ruihong Liang,Genshui Wang,Hengchang Nie,Zhiyong Zhou,Fei Cao,Xianlin Dong 한국물리학회 2014 Current Applied Physics Vol.14 No.11

Pure and Nb-doped Pb(Zr1xTix)O3 (x ¼ 0.47, 0.48, 0.50) ceramics were prepared by conventional solidstate reaction technique. Dielectric anomalies are observed in both kinds of samples near room temperature. The anomalies could be depressed by donor doping and prefer to be significant in ceramics with tetragonal crystallographic phase. Phase transition mechanism and domain wall pinning effect are proposed to explain this anomaly, and the former is considered as the dominated reason. Further results of the pyroelectric measurements confirm the existence of the ferroelectriceferroelectric phase transition.

Nonlocal d-dimensional Controlled-NOT with Multi-target Gate: AControlled and Local Implementation

Libing Chen,Yihong Bai,Hong Lu 한국물리학회 2011 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.58 No.3

We investigate the controlled and local implementation of a nonlocal d-dimensional control-NOT (DCNOT) with multi-target gate (M-target). We firstly show how a nonlocal DCNOT with Mtarget gate can be implemented locally with unit fidelity and unit probability via a maximally entangled (N + 1)-qudit Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (DGHZ) state, in which a group of administrators are included. Furthermore, we put forward a scheme for probabilistically and exactly implementing this nonlocal gate by using a partially entangled DGHZ state. Using the DGHZ state in our scheme can save quantum resources, increase variety, and enhance security.

Torque ripple reduction for switched reluctance motors using global optimization algorithm

Ben, Tong,Nie, Heng,Chen, Long,Jing, Libing,Yan, Rongge The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2022 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.22 No.11

Global optimization algorithms are widely used to effectively suppress the torque ripple in switched reluctance motors (SRMs). In this paper, an improved velocity-controllable particle swarm optimization algorithm (VCPSO) is proposed to optimize the turn-of angle of an SRM under the current chopping control (CCC) method. In addition, the performances of three global optimization algorithms are compared and analyzed. The specific steps are outlined as follows. First, the static non-linear inductance-current-position and torque-current-position curves of the SRM are obtained through finite-element calculations, and a non-linear model of the SRM is established on this basis. Second, the turn-of angle optimization method based on the VCPSO is proposed. Finally, the performances of the simulated annealing algorithm (SA), the genetic algorithm (GA), and the proposed algorithm are compared and analyzed in terms of torque ripple suppression. The obtained results show that the proposed VCPSO has the advantages of a low number of iterations, low torque ripple, and small peak current in the torque ripple reduction issue of the SRM.

Fast Finite-time Attitude Tracking Control of Rigid Spacecraft with Quantized Input Signals

        Man Yu,Ming Chen,Libing Wu 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2022 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.20 No.6

The problem of fast finite-time attitude tracking quantized control is addressed for rigid spacecraft in the paper. With the help of the backstepping technique, hysteresis quantizer and the finite-time control scheme, a novel fast finite-time attitude controller is proposed. The modified Rodriguze parameters (MRPs) are used to describe the dynamic and kinematic equations of rigid spacecraft system. Then by utilizing Lagrange theorem, rigid spacecraft attitude system is transformed into a common strict feedback system. Next, a new coordinate transformation is introduced, which will be used in the presented controller. Based on the backstepping strategy, the sufficient conditions for the existence of the fast finite-time controller are presented. Theoretical analysis shows that the attitude tracking errors rapidly converge to the equilibrium point within finite time. Meanwhile, all the signals of the close-loop system are bounded. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Vibration reduction method of switched reluctance motors with amorphous alloy cores based on inverse-magnetostriction effect

Ben, Tong,Wang, Jin,Chen, Long,Jing, Libing,Yan, Rongge The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2022 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.22 No.11

The amorphous alloy used in a switched reluctance motor core can greatly improve the efficiency of the motor. However, its large magnetostrictive coefficient and strong stress sensitivity (i.e., inverse-magnetostriction effect) increase the core vibration and limit the precise control capability of the electrical signals. A vibration reduction method based on the inverse-magnetostriction effect is proposed to control the electromagnetic vibration of a switched reluctance motor with amorphous alloy cores (SRMA). First, a nonlinear magnetostriction and inverse-magnetostriction effect model (NMIE model) of an amorphous alloy and the compressive stress applied structure for the stator teeth are proposed. Then, considering the influence of static compressive stress and dynamic electromagnetic stress on the magnetic properties of the core material, a two-way dynamic electromagnetic force coupling model of the SRMA is constructed and solved. Finally, the vibration characteristics of the SRMA core are calculated. The obtained results show that the radial electromagnetic stress of the improved structure is reduced by 33.6%, which verifies the feasibility of the proposed vibration reduction method.

A prospective randomized multicenter trial for lymphadenectomy in early- stage ovarian cancer: LOVE study

        Ting Deng,Kaijiang Liu,Liang Chen,Xiao-jun Chen,Hua Wen Li,Hongyan Guo,Huijiao Zhang,Libing Xiang,Xin Feng,Xiaoyu Wang,Hextan Y. S. Ngan,Jianguo Zhao,Dongling Zou,Qing Liu,Jihong Liu 대한부인종양학회 2023 Journal of Gynecologic Oncology Vol.34 No.3

Background: The Lymphadenectomy in Ovarian Neoplasms (LION) study revealed that systemic lymphadenectomy did not bring survival benefit for advanced ovarian cancer patients with clinically normal lymph nodes and was associated with a higher incidence of operative complications. However, there is no consensus on whether lymphadenectomy has survival benefit or not in early epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). Methods: We designed the LOVE study, a multicenter, randomized controlled, phase III trial to compare the efficacy and safety of comprehensive staging surgery with or without lymphadenectomy in stages IA-IIB EOC and fallopian tube carcinomas (FTC). The hypothesis is that the oncological outcomes provided by comprehensive staging surgery without lymphadenectomy are non-inferior to those of conventional completion staging surgery in early-stage EOC and FTC patients who have indications for post-operative adjuvant chemotherapy. Patients assigned to experimental group will undergo comprehensive staging surgery, but lymphadenectomy. Patients assigned to comparative group will undergo completion staging surgery including systematic pelvic and para-aortic lymphadenectomy. All subjects will receive 3–6 cycles of standard adjuvant chemotherapy. Major inclusion criteria are pathologic confirmed stage IA-IIB EOC or FTC, and patients have indications for adjuvant chemotherapy either confirmed by intraoperative fast frozen section or previous pathology after an incomplete staging surgery. Major exclusion criteria are non-epithelial tumors and low-grade serous carcinoma. Patients with severe rectum involvement which lead to partial rectum resection will be excluded. The sample size is 656 subjects. Primary endpoint is disease-free survival.

LCL APF based on fractional-order fast repetitive control strategy

Pan, Guobing,Gong, Fei,Jin, Libing,Wu, Hao,Chen, Sihan The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2021 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.21 No.10

The LCL type active power filter (APF) with a traditional repetitive controller has drawbacks in terms of poor dynamic performance, large steady-state error, and difficult digital implementation. A fast repetitive control (RC) algorithm was proposed in this paper in an effort to improve the APF dynamic performance without worsening its stability. To eliminate the non-integer delay of the traditional RC, a fractional-order RC algorithm based on the Lagrangian Interpolation was developed. The proposed fast fractional-order RC (FFORC) strategy only needs 1/6 delay time when compared to the traditional RC. In addition, it can track the error signal quickly and obtain a higher steady-state accuracy. Furthermore, the double current loops control method with grid side current and inverter side current feedback is proposed to achieve active damping of the resonance peak of the LCL filter, which ensures that the APF system is stable. Simulation and experimental results are presented to verify the performance of the dynamic response and steady-state accuracy of the proposed FFORC strategy.

A phase II trial of cytoreductive surgery combined with niraparib maintenance in platinum-sensitive, secondary recurrent ovarian cancer: SGOG SOC-3 study

        Ting-Yan Shi,Sheng Yin,Jianqing Zhu,Ping Zhang,Jihong Liu,Libing Xiang,Yaping Zhu,Sufang Wu,Xiaojun Chen,Xipeng Wang,Yin-Cheng Teng,Tao Zhu,Aijun Yu,Yingli Zhang,Yanling Feng,He Huang,Wei Bao,Yanli Li 대한부인종양학회 2020 Journal of Gynecologic Oncology Vol.31 No.3

Background: In China, secondary cytoreductive surgery (SCR) has been widely used in ovarian cancer (OC) over the past two decades. Although Gynecologic Oncology Group-0213 trial did not show its overall survival benefit in first relapsed patients, the questions on patient selection and effect of subsequent targeting therapy are still open. The preliminary data from our pre-SOC1 phase II study showed that selected patients with second relapse who never received SCR at recurrence may still benefit from surgery. Moreover, poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase inhibitors (PARPi) maintenance now has been a standard care for platinum sensitive relapsed OC. To our knowledge, no published or ongoing trial is trying to answer the question if patient can benefit from a potentially complete resection combined with PARPi maintenance in OC patients with secondary recurrence. Methods: SOC-3 is a multi-center, open, randomized, controlled, phase II trial of SCR followed by chemotherapy and niraparib maintenance vs chemotherapy and niraparib maintenance in patients with platinum-sensitive second relapsed OC who never received SCR at recurrence. To guarantee surgical quality, if the sites had no experience of participating in any OC-related surgical trials, the number of recurrent lesions evaluated by central-reviewed positron emission tomography–computed tomography image shouldn't be more than 3. Eligible patients are randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive either SCR followed by 6 cycles of platinum-based chemotherapy and niraparib maintenance or 6 cycles of platinum-based chemotherapy and niraparib maintenance alone. Patients who undergo at least 4 cycles of chemotherapy and must be, in the opinion of the investigator, without disease progression, will be assigned niraparib maintenance. Major inclusion criteria are secondary relapsed OC with a platinum-free interval of no less than 6 months and a possibly complete resection. Major exclusion criteria are borderline tumors and non-epithelial ovarian malignancies, received debulking surgery at recurrence and impossible to complete resection. The sample size is 96 patients. Primary endpoint is 12-month non-progression rate. Trial Registration: ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT03983226
