Li, Zhongzhi,Qu, Na,Li, Xiaoxue,Zuo, Jiankai,Yin, Yanzhen The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2021 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.21 No.7
Under the condition of a strong electric field, partial discharge often occurs when insulated wire is damaged. The recognition of partial discharge is an effective method for the fast and accurate detection of high voltage insulated wire faults. This paper proposes a PD recognition algorithm based on a convolutional neural network and long short-term memory (LSTM). In addition, attention mechanisms are introduced to give separate weights to LSTM hidden states through a mapping, weighting, and learning parameter matrix. This is done to reduce the loss of historical information and to strengthen the influence of important information. The complex relationship between the voltage signal change and the grid operation state response has been established. The proposed method is verified by the ENET data set published by VSB University. The recognition accuracy is 95.16% for no-PD and 94.44% for PD. Results from the proposed algorithm show that this method has a higher detection accuracy.

The root bark extract of Aralia taibaiensis is used traditionally for the treatment of diabetes mellitus in China. The total saponin extracted from Aralia Taibaiensis (sAT) has effective combined antihyperglycemic and hypolipidemic activities in experimental type 2 diabetic rats. However, the active compounds have not yet been fully investigated. In the present study, we examined effects of twelve triterpenoid saponins on AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) activation, and found that compound 28-O-${\beta}$-D-glucopyranosyl ester (AT12) significantly increased phosphorylation of AMPK and Acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC). AT12 effectively decreased blood glucose, triglyceride (TG), free fatty acid (FFA) and low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C) levels in the rat model of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The mechanism by which AT12 activated AMPK was subsequently investigated. Intracellular ATP level and oxygen consumption were significantly reduced by AT12 treatment. The findings suggested AT12 was a novel AMPK activator, and could be useful for the treatment of metabolic diseases.

Objective: The study aimed to evaluate the contributions of levator ani muscle (LAM) injury, vesical neck movement, urethral length and mobility, and urethral sphincter dysfunction observed on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) towards stress urinary incontinence (SUI) after vaginal delivery. Materials and Methods: Fifty primiparous women after 6 months of delivery (15 with SUI and 35 without) and 35 nulliparous as continent controls underwent MRI at rest and Valsalva maneuver. A published levator ani scoring system was used to characterize morphological changes of LAM. The severity of the injury was divided into three categories as none, minor, and major. A series of common parameters including levator plate angle, iliococcygeal angle, and levator hiatus were used to describe the functional conditions of LAM. Urethral mobility was defined based on the rotation of the urethra between Valsalva and rest status. Vesical neck movement was evaluated by its distance to the pubococcygeal line. Urethral sphincter dysfunction was defined as the widening of the proximal urethra and/or funneling at the urethrovesical junction during Valsalva. Results: Primiparous incontinent (PI) women had additional major levator ani defects (33.3% vs. 17.1%) while less minor defects (0.7% vs. 31.4%) than primiparous continent (PC) women. Vesical neck downward movement in PI women was more obvious than PC women (28.5 mm vs. 24.2 mm, p = 0.006). Urethral mobility was more active in primiparous women than in nulliparous continent controls (57.4 vs. 52.4), whereas no difference was observed on urethral mobility in the primiparous group (p = 0.25). Urethral sphincter dysfunction and funneling were present in 80% of PI women versus 22.9% in PC women (p < 0.001). Conclusion: The MRI findings revealed that de novo SUI was associated with major LAM injury, vesical neck downward movement as well as urethral sphincter dysfunction. Vesical neck funneling on sagittal images can be treated as a valuable predictor for SUI. The intervention for the PI should focus on the elevation of vesical neck, rehabilitation of LAM as well as recovery of the urethral sphincter muscle.

Summary

1. Both peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and coronary artery spasm (CAS) are associated with endothelial dysfunction. Thus, a higher incidence of CAS may be expected in patients with PAD. In the present study, we evaluated the incidence and characteristics of CAS in patients with PAD.

2. A total of 78 patients with PAD and 241 age- and gender-matched patients without PAD who had chest pain with normal coronary appearance on coronary angiograms underwent intracoronary acetylcholine (ACh) provocation test. Acetylcholine was injected into the left coronary artery in incremental doses of 20, 50 and 100 &mgr;g/min. Significant CAS was defined as a transient > 70% luminal narrowing with concurrent chest pain and/or ST segment changes.

3. Patients with PAD had a significantly higher incidence of ACh-induced significant CAS than those without PAD (60.3 vs 34.0%, respectively P < 0.001), as well as chest pain and ST segment changes during the ACh provocation test. Patients with PAD were more sensitive to lower doses of ACh and had a higher incidence of multivessel spasm than those without PAD. Multivariable logistic analysis showed that age, current smoking, PAD and myocardial bridge were independent predictors of ACh-induced significant CAS. Moreover, of these factors, PAD was the strongest independent predictor (odds ratio 4.25; confidence interval 1.33–13.54; P = 0.014).

4. In patients with chest pain, the presence of arterial disease at another site should still push the clinician towards treating the chest pain as angina, even if the coronary anatomy is normal on a coronary angiogram.

Global climate change is expected to cause progressively increased frequency and severity of drought events, which further seriously limit plant growth and crop yields. Increasing water use effi ciency (WUE) and yield per unit rainfall are one of the most important challenges in dry land agriculture. Here, we reviewed the comprehensive technical strategies including conserving water to combine both increased agricultural productivity and resource conservation; enquiring into how crop plants respond to drought through morphological, physiological, and molecular modifi cations that occur in all plant organs; breeding for drought tolerance where there is a delineated stress environment and genotype × environment interactions are stable; eff ective conservation of rainfall and high effi ciency of use. In addition, we discussed the preponderance of biological water-saving measures, which embraces improvements in WUE and drought tolerance, by genetic improvement and physiological regulation. Sustainable agriculture would be benefi ted from modern engineering such as biological engineering, conservation tillage, and breeding technologies.
