        Influence of MoS2 deposition time on the photocatalytic activity of MoS2/ V, N co-doped TiO2 heterostructure thin film in the visible light region

        Electron-hole separation and a narrow band-gap are essential steps to obtain efficient photocatalysis, towards which the use of co-catalysts or co-doped-TiO2 photocatalysts has become a widely used strategy. In this article, the combination of MoS2 and co-doping of V, N is the goal to achieve high performance photocatalysts. We synthesized MoS2/V, N co-doped TiO2 heterostructure thin film by solgel and chemical bath deposition methods. Herein, we investigated the influence of deposition time of MoS2 layer on visible-photocatalytic activity of the obtained samples. The thin films were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and UVevis spectroscopy techniques. Visible-photocatalytic activity of these samples were evaluated on the removal of methylene blue (MB) under visible light irradiation. The results show that the aforementioned heterostructure thin films have better photocatalytic activities than those of TiO2, MoS2 and V, N codoped TiO2 counterparts in visible light region. The mechanism for increasing visible-photocatalytic property of the heterostructure thin films is discussed in detail. We find that MoS2/V, N co-doped TiO2 heterostructure thin film at MoS2 deposition time of 45-min shows the highest photocatalytic performance in the visible light region with MB photodegradation rate about 99% for 150 min and the degradation rate constant is 2.06 times higher than that of V and N co-doped TiO2 counterpart.

        Effect of Co-Doping and Tri-Doping with Transition Metals and a Nonmetal on Photocatalytic Activity in Visible Light of TiO2 Thin Film

        Mono, co- and tri-doped TiO2 thin films with the transition metals (vanadium and/or chrominium) and a nonmetal (nitrogen) have been fabricated by sol-gel method. X-ray diffraction results clearly reveal anatase crystal structure for all obtained samples and doping with any dopants doesn’t change the anatase phase of TiO2. Compared to TiO2, three types of doped TiO2 thin films exhibit a red-shift in the absorption edge and have much better photocatalytic properties for methylene blue degradation in visible light region. The maximum visible-photocatalytic performance was achieved for tri-doped TiO2 sample. The mechanism for enhancing visible-photocatalytic activity of co-doped and tri-doped TiO2 thin films was also examined.

        Macro-Economic Factors Affecting the Vietnam Stock Price Index: An Application of the ARDL Model

        Using the ARDL approach, this study examined the impact of macro factors on Vietnam’s stock market in the short and long run from 2010 to 2021. The State Bank of Vietnam and the International Monetary Fund provided time series data for this study. Research results show that in the long run, money supply and exchange rate respectively affect the stock market. The money supply had a positive effect on the VN-Index, while the exchange rate showed the opposite effect. However, the study did not find a relationship between world oil price and interest rates on VN-Index in the long run. On the other hand, in the short term, there are relationships between variables; specifically, interest rates and exchange rates have a negative impact on the VN-Index, while the world oil price and the fluctuation of money supply M2 of the previous one and two months showed an impact in the same direction on this index. The differences in the regression results on the impact of exchange rate and oil price on the VN-Index compared to previous studies come from the characteristics of Vietnam’s stock market, with the large capitalization of companies in the oil and gas sector, and the structure of Vietnam’s economy with export heavily depends on FDI sector.

        Fabrication and characterization of n-IZO / p-Si and p-ZnO:(In, N) / n-Si thin film hetero-junctions by dc magnetron sputtering

        Using a ceramic target ZnO:In with In doping concentration of 2%, hetero-junctions of n-ZnO:In/p-Si and p-ZnO:(In, N)/n-Si were fabricated by depositing Indium doped n - type ZnO (ZnO:In or IZO) and Indium-nitrogen co-doped p - type ZnO (ZnO:(In, N)) films on wafers of p-Si (100) and n-Si (100) by DC magnetron sputtering, respectively. These films with the best electrical and optical properties were then obtained. The micro-structural, optical and electrical properties of the n-type and p-type semiconductor thinfilms were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), RBS, UV-vis; four-point probe resistance and room-temperature Hall effect measurements, respectively. Typical rectifying behaviors of p-n junction were observed by the current-voltage (I-V) measurement. It shows fairly good rectifying behavior with the fact that the ideality factor and the saturation current of diode are n=11.5, Is=1.5108.10-7 (A) for n-ZnO:In/p-Si hetero-jucntion; n=10.14, Is=3.2689.10-5 (A) for p-ZnO:(In, N)/n-Si, respectively. These results demonstrated the formation of a diode between n-type thin film and p-Si, as well as between p-type thin film and n-Si..

      • Appropriation of Protocol for Laparoscopic Pancreaticoduodenectomy in Treatment of Periampullary Cancer

        Aims: Laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy (LPD) is considered as a safe and effective procedure in well - selected patients and appropriate surgical technique. Our aim is to evaluate suitability of using protocol for LPD in treatment of periampullary cancer at a single team. Methods: case series Results: Indication for LPD included 37 cases with resectable tumors which were classified basing on NCCN. All witness evaluation risk of complications with PREPARE score, ASA and evaluation risk of postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF) with FRS classification. There were 2 open conversions because of vein resections, accounting for 5.4%. Standard lymphadenectomy was performed in all of 37 cases. In term of PREPARE score, major complications (Clavien - Dindo >= III) were 17.8%, 0% and 0% (5/28, 0/5 and 0/2 cases) in low risk, intermediate risk and high risk group, respectively. All of cases had ASA I or II. POPF happened 11.1% (1/9), 4.1% (1/24) and 50% (1/2) in low risk, intermediate risk and high risk group, respectively. Frozen section was needed for R0 margin. Retrieved lymph nodes was 8 - 18 with 12 lymph nodes in average. Conclusions: Indication for LPD with resectable tumors is acceptable. ASA I or II is a safe measure to select patient for LPD. FRS classification shows appropriation to evaluate risk of POPF.
