Econometric Model of the Impact of the Interest Rate on the Economic Development
Larisa Yuzvovich,Elena Razumovskaya,Maksim Maramygin,Vadim Ponkratov,Nikolay Kuznetsov,Nadezhda Bashkirova 대한산업공학회 2020 Industrial Engineeering & Management Systems Vol.19 No.1
In the context of the implementation of the inflation targeting policy in the Russian Federation (RF), undertaking a comprehensive study of the transmission mechanism and its consequences for the economy is becoming increasingly relevant. Against this backdrop, the purpose of the present study is to develop an econometric model for determining the correlation between the interest rate and economic growth in prevailing conditions of the Russian market. To that end, the authors used the Granger test in order to determine the causal relations between the indicators of economic development and the key rate level of Central Bank of the Russian Federation (CBR) from 2006 to 2018. There were determined to be dominant indicators which provide the transmission mechanism of the influence of the key rate on the actual GDP of the Russian Federation. A model of the key rate influence on the pace of economic growth was developed. For this purpose, the authors used the vector autoregression method by taking the interdependence between the national economy components into consideration. The findings of this study confirmed the positive character of the interaction of the CBR key rate and the country’s economic growth. An analysis of the econometric model contributed to the determination of changes in the nation’s economic activity indicators due to the changes occurring in the key rate of the Central Bank. The developed econometric model can be applied as a tool that helps monetary authorities to better understand the determining internal forces in the economy. Moreover, this model helps formulate monetary policy decisions, emit alternatives, and increase the element of consistency in debates about the transmission mechanism. Finally, the Central Bank can use this model to identify the objectives of the monetary policy.
Effect of bisphosphonates on the crystallization of stone-forming salts in synthetic urine
Larisa Kovacevic,Hong Lu,Natalija Kovacevic,Yegappan Lakshmanan 대한비뇨의학회 2020 Investigative and Clinical Urology Vol.61 No.3
Purpose: We investigated the inhibitory effect of bisphosphonates (BPs) on the crystallization of calcium oxalate monohydrate (COM), calcium phosphate (CaP), and magnesium ammonium phosphate (MAP) in synthetic urine, aiming to see 1) which specific BPs work best on a particular type of crystal and 2) what is the lowest concentration of BPs that inhibits crystal formation. Materials and Methods: Crystals from synthetic urine were exposed to different concentrations of BPs. Urinary turbidity was used as a marker of crystallization and was measured by spectrophotometry by use of a validated method in our laboratory. The percent inhibitory activity (IA) was calculated by using the formula: (a−b )/a×100, where a is baseline maximal turbidity and b is maximal turbidity with various concentrations of medication. Potassium citrate and magnesium citrate were used as positive controls. Results: At the lowest dose of 0.001 mg/mL, risedronate induced the highest IA of 37% on CaP, whereas ibandronate had the strongest IA on COM (24%). To initiate the inhibition of MAP crystallization, risedronate required a two-fold higher concentration (0.002 mg/mL) to reach 30% IA, whereas etidronate required a four-fold higher concentration (0.004 mg/mL) to reach 42% IA. Conclusions: BPs are good inhibitors of crystallization in synthetic urine, with risedronate and ibandronate being the most potent. At a low clinically acceptable dose, their highest inhibitory action was on CaP and COM crystals. Higher doses were needed to prevent MAP crystallization. Further investigation of the use of BPs in kidney stone prevention is warranted.
Revisiting metaphors for education: a student's perspective
Larisa Nikitina,Fumitaka Furuoka 서울대학교 교육연구소 2011 Asia Pacific Education Review Vol.12 No.2
This study examines metaphors about learning produced by a group of eighteen students at a big public university in Malaysia. The learner perspective is placed within a wider discourse on education in order to explore whether the images employed by the learners to describe their learning reflect the dominant conception of education as "production". The metaphors supplied by the participants were analyzed and classified into several themes. None of the metaphors generated by the students alluded to the images that link education with "production". The study contends that the student perspective on education can enrich educational discourse and highlight the previously obscured notions on education and learning.

The article is based on Russian local statistical data materials and other not widerly knowing documents, which permit to do objective conclusion on the North Korean economic potential and the nature of its economic contacts with the Russian Far East. The article declares that the DPRK is not an economically isolated country and continues to preserve economic relations not only with China, but with other ex-socialist countries, the first of all with Russia. This article analyzes the semantics of Korean proverb aphorisms with lexeme "밥" - pap. In the article the class of proverbial sayings with a lexeme "밥"-pap will be considered. The image of the person and its ethical standards are symbolically comprehended and presented in the form of the language model representing the complex and multi-level structure that consists of a number of interdependent semantic spheres. The important significance of studying proverb aphorisms lies in implementing ethical presentation of native speakers of the Korean language; determining and forming language model "ethic standards" as well as revealing methods of its interpretation in proverb aphorisms with lexeme "밥"-pap.
