        A co-inhibitory molecule, B7-H4, synergistically potentiates oral tolerance by inducing CD4+CD25+FoxP3+ T cells

        Background: A co-inhibitory molecule, B7-H4, is believed to negatively regulate T cell immunity by suppressing T cell proliferation and inhibiting cytokine production. However, the mechanism behind B7-H4-mediated tolerance remains unclear. Methods: Balb/c (H-2d) mice were fed with dendritic cell line, DC2.4 (H-2b) every day for 10 days. Meantime, mice were hydrodynamically injected with recombinant plasmid expressing B7-H4 fusion protein (B7-H4.hFc) or hFc via tail vein. One day after last feeding, mice were immunized with allogeneic B6 spleen cells. 14 days following immunization, mice were challenged with B6 spleen cells to ear back and the ear swelling was determined the next day. Subsequently, a mixed lymphocyte reaction (MLR) was also performed and cytokines profiles from the reaction were examined by sandwich ELISA. Frequency of immunosuppressive cell population was assayed with flow cytometry and mRNA for FoxP3 was determined by RT-PCR. Results: Tolerant mice given plasmid expressing B7-H4.hFc showed a significant reduction in ear swelling compared to control mice. In addition, T cells from mice given B7-H4.hFc plasmid revealed a significant hyporesponsiveness of T cells against allogeneic spleen cells and showed a significant decrease in Th1 and Th2 cytokines such as IFN-γ, IL-5, and TNF-α. Interestingly, flow cytometric analysis showed that the frequency of CD4+CD25+FoxP3+ Tregs in spleen was increased in tolerant mice given recombinant B7-H4.hFc plasmid compared to control group. Conclusion: Our results demonstrate that B7-H4 synergistically potentiates oral tolerance induced by allogeneic cells by increasing the frequency of FoxP3+CD4+CD25+ Treg and reducing Th1 and Th2 cytokine production.

        The traditional PageRank algorithm can’t efficiently dispose large data Webpage scheduling problem. This paper proposes an accelerated algorithm named topK-Rank .It is based on PageRank on the MapReduce platform. Owing to this algorithm ,Top k nodes can be found efficiently for a given graph without sacrificing accuracy. It can iteratively estimate lower/upper bounds of PageRank scores, and construct subgraphs in each iteration by pruning unnecessary nodes and edges. Theoretical analysis shows that this method guarantees result exactness. Experiments show that it can find top k nodes much faster than the existing approaches.

      • Study on a New Heterogeneous Multi-core Hardware/Software Partitioning Method

        As to the high request of low power consumption for hardware/software partitioning algorithm in multi-core processor structure, based on reducing the system power consumption, the relevant formal model was defined, and the problem was decomposed into two periods: the task division of heterogeneous multi-core platform and low power scheduling. The quantum genetic algorithm was proposed in the paper by taking the advantage of quantum computing combined with the traditional genetic algorithm, and the scheduling method based on critical tasks was used to solve scheduling problems of task after division. Experimental results show that the quantum genetic algorithm increases the diversity of population in the process of task partitioning and the task scheduling algorithm based on the key tasks determines the optimal execution order. The whole algorithm achieves the design goals of reducing the power consumption of the system and lessening the time complexity.

      • Research and Realization of Transient Disturbance Detection Algorithm Based Coiflet Wavelets and FPGA

        This paper proposes a Coiflet wavelet algorithm based on FPGA to realize the real-time detection of power quality transient disturbance. As to the real-time problem of wavelet algorithm software applications, the algorithm is realized on the FPGA. When Coiflet wavelet is taken as basic functions, the effect of the detecting signal singularity is good. Because of its symmetry in the time-frequency domain the algorithm could avoid the signal distortion during decomposition and reconstruction, which is convenient for subsequent signal processing. By simulating test of several kinds of signal source, the begin-end time of signal transient disturbance is contrasted. The test results show that the method is more accurate and feasible on real-time detection of power quality transient disturbance.

      • A New ECT Image Reconstruction Algorithm Based on Convolutional Neural Network

        In order to solve the problem of image reconstruction in electrical capacitance tomography (ECT) technology, the feasibility of applying convolutional neural network (CNN) to ECT image reconstruction is studied. The convolution layer and the training of the structure of the sub sampling method is improved based on deep research for convolution neural network for the more time-consuming process of deep structure and training issues, and a fast convergence convolution neural network (FCCNN) image reconstruction method is proposed. Matlab was used to build a ECT simulation system. For each algorithm, the simulation results were compared and analyzed. The experimental results show that our algorithm improved the image reconstruction efficiency and quality of the common flow pattern.

        Impact of the Learning Curve on the Survival of Abdominal or Minimally Invasive Radical Hysterectomy for Early-Stage Cervical Cancer

        Purpose The objective of this study was to define the learning curve required to attain satisfactory oncologic outcomes of cervical cancer patients who were undergoing open or minimally invasive surgery for radical hysterectomy, and to analyze the correlation between the learning curve and tumor size. Materials and Methods Cervical cancer patients (stage IA-IIA) who underwent open radical hysterectomy (n=280) or minimal invasive radical hysterectomy (n=282) were retrospectively reviewed. The learning curve was evaluated using cumulative sum of 5-year recurrence rates. Survival outcomes were analyzed based on the operation period (“learning period,” P1 vs. “skilled period,” P2), operation mode, and tumor size. Results The 5-year disease-free and overall survival rates between open and minimally invasive groups were 91.8% and 89.0% (p=0.098) and 96.1% and 97.2% (p=0.944), respectively. The number of surgeries for learning period was 30 and 60 in open and minimally invasive group, respectively. P2 had better 5-year disease-free survival than P1 after adjusting for risk factors (hazard ratio, 0.392; 95% confidence interval, 0.210 to 0.734; p=0.003). All patients with tumors < 2 cm had similar 5-year disease-free survival regardless of operation mode or learning curve. Minimally invasive group presented lower survival rates than open group when tumors ≥ 2 cm in P2. Preoperative conization improved disease-free survival in patients with tumors ≥ 2 cm, especially in minimally invasive group. Conclusion Minimally invasive radical hysterectomy required more cases than open group to achieve acceptable 5-year disease-free survival. When tumors ≥ 2 cm, the surgeon’s proficiency affected survival outcomes in both groups.

        인체의 움직임을 이용한 의상디자인 - 발레의 동작을 중심으로 -

        연구배경 본 연구는 체계적이고 엄격한 인체의 움직임을 반영한 발레의 동작이 공간에서 형성하는 자유로운 형태를 소재로 의상디자인을 개발하고, 이로써 추상적인 요소를 시각적으로 재해석한 새로운 디자인개발 방법을 제시하는데 목적을 두었다. 연구방법 연구방법은 문헌연구와 사례연구, 그리고 디자인 개발과 작품제작으로, 무용과 발레에 관한 전문서적, 학회지, 학위논문을 통한 문헌연구와 발레 동작의 입체적 이해를 위한 동작 영상 180개와 발레 공연 영상 4편을 사례연구하고, 디자인개발 및 제작을 하였다. 연구결과 발레의 동작은 인체의 움직임의 폭과 운동궤도 등에 따라 하위의 층으로 분류되고 각각의 세부 동작은 동작이나 방향 등에 따라 더 세분될 수 있어 총144개의‘동작 - 세부동작1 - 세부동작2’조합이 도출되었다. 이를 조합하여 구축한 디자인 방법은 4가지로서, 방법 #1은 1 가지 세부 동작을, 방법 #2는 동일 동작 내 2가지 세부동작 2를, 방법 #3은 동일 동작 내 2가지 세부동작을, 방법 #4는 2가지 동작 내 2가지 세부동작을 이용하는 것으로, 이로써 총 2,021가지의 디자인 개발이 가능함이 분석되었다. 발레 동작을 선으로 표현하고 재조합하는 과정을 거쳐 각 디자인 방법별 8점씩, 총 32점의 의상디자인을 개발하고, 전문가 평가를 거쳐 인체 움직임의 자유로운 형태미와 율동미를 반영한 디자인 4점을 선정하여 작품으로 제작하였다. 결론 추상적인 움직임을 디자인 요소로 활용하여 창의적이고 다양한 디자인을 도출한 본 연구는 디자인 개발방법에 대한 후속연구에 기여한다. Background This study developed fashion design from free forms shaped in the space by motions of ballet reflecting systemic and strict human movements. Hereby, this study aimed to suggest a new fashion design method which visually interprets abstract elements. Methods Literature and case studies were conducted along with design development and garment production. As for literature review, basic research was done for ballet motions from dance and ballet-related specialized books, journals and theses. Case study was conducted for 180 ballet motion videos and 4 performance videos to understand ballet motions in a stereoscopic manner. Result Ballet motions may be classified into sub-layers according to the movement width and orbit of a human body and each detailed motion may be subdivided according to motion or direction so resulted in 144 combinations of 'motion-detailed motion 1 - detailed motion 2'. Through recombining such ballet motions, 4 kinds of design methods were constructed and possibility of 2,021 designs was deduced. As a result, from a process to express ballet motions into a line and recombine them, 8 fashion designs for 4 methods respectively, the entire 32 fashion designs were developed, and 4 designs reflecting free formative and rhythmical beauty of movements of a human body were produced as works through the specialist evaluation. Conclusion This study deducted creative and various fashion design using abstract movements of a human body. Thus, this study has significance in that it will contribute to follow-up studies of design method development.

        중국어 잉여부정 현상에 관한 고찰 -‘小心別+VP’의 의미분석과 주관화 현상 중심으로

        本文主要阐述‘小心别摔跤’类句子即‘小心2别2 + VP’所表达的语义和它的语用 (pragmatic)机制。这里的‘x小心2’可以理解为自身就蕴含否定义(implicit negation)的动词(verb)带有‘当心!注意!’类似警告意思。‘别2’虽仍被看作为否定副词(negativity abverb, 但己经失去了否定副词该有的语法功能, 所以被论为redundant negativity ingredient(冗余否定成分)。首先根据有关‘小心(别))+VP’的早期研宄资料进行语义分析, 接着探讨为什么redundant negation这一现象经常会在口语中出现。对此主要在认知语言学(cogritive linguistics)层面上试说明汉语中redundant negation这一现象的形成动机。 This paper aims to demonstrate the use of ‘xiaoxin bie shuaijiao’, subsection of ‘xiaoxin2bie2+VP’’, in its semantic and pragmatic mechanism. “xiaoxin2” itself contains the meaning of implicit negation such as “Watch out! Be careful!”. Though “bie2” is usually categorized as a negativity adverb, for this specific sentence type, we treat it as a redundant negativity ingredient due to its loss of function in negativity adverb. First of all, we conducted the semantic analysis based on the literature review of “xiaoxin(bie)+VP”. Next, we further discussed the possible mechanisms to explain such phenomenon (frequent use of redundant negation in spoken language). Overall, our paper mainly focuses on the investigation in redundant negation from the perspective of cognitive linguistics.
