        식민지시기 도시문제를 둘러싼 갈등과 '민족적 대립의 정치'

        This article follows the development of discussions over the "Cheong"gye?cheon Stream" issue in the local council of Gyeong"seong, the colonial capital of Korea. The activities of the local council during the colonial era is analyzed here as activities conducted in a limited public sphere. The colonial local council was established by the colonial government as a "pseudo" public sphere to mobilize the pro?Japanese Korean leaders and boost their desire to participate in politics, with an aim of permanently stabilizing colonial governance. However, local councilors were elected by residents as their representatives and therefore had to speak for the constituents to some extent. This activity by Korean councilors often led to conflicts with their Japanese counterparts over the issue of distribution of limited social resources. During the Japanese occupation period, Cheong"gye?cheon served as a dividing line between main Korean residential area and the Japanese area, and emerged as a delicate issue in terms of sanitation and transportation. As the local council started to play a meaningful role in colonial politics in the mid 1920’s, surfaced was the conflict over refurbishing the main stream in Gyeong"seong. In almost all of the annual sessions of the council, Korean representatives’ requests of reorganizing the stream were faced with opposition by the municipal officials, who cited the shortage of its budget. With limited resources for that kind of public facility, such disputes continued every year, producing very little changes. That changed in the mid 1930’s, when the institutional basis was introduced for executing urban planning. However, the local government planned to put excessive resources into the construction of the Namsan Ring Road, which would cater to the interests of the leading Japanese settlers, causing greater confrontation between the two nationals. The confrontation resulted in Cheong"gye?cheon’s inclusion in the local government’s urban planning as a high priority, a limited but not so meaningless outcome. Korean local representatives in the colonial council could be counted as collaborators to the imperialist government, and their constituency was in fact the rich and powerful class among colonial Koreans. However, their “political activities” were not totally free from the pressure of the Korean people and their opinions, which was mainly led by Korean newspapers. Therefore, regardless of their own intention, they found themselves on the front of “politics of national conflict” with Japanese colonialists.

        The 18th and 19th centuries are called the age of actual state in which a glorious improvement was made by revealing Chosun's traditional colors as much as possible. The calligraphy also had its indigenous handwriting boom in this age during the latter part of Chosun dynasty with so called Okdong Special Essay as its starting point. These footholds had laid cultural foundation with Sukjong era as their basis and prospered at Young·Jeongjo era. These trends are clearly shown on various cultural aspects over this period as a whole. For example the national painting style called "Jingungsansu" and the national writing style called "Donggukjinche" had appeared. For these interests for the culture as a whole, the calligraphy was not an exception. Jeongjo had made his dedicated efforts to recover "Wangheeji" as he criticized the scattered and impure letter shape of those times with the usage of calligraphy and these features can be found at "Restoration of Calligraphy" which had been attempted in addition to the "Restoration of Literary Style". He also thought that only with the human race who consider academics as their foundation, one's true character could be seen through handwriting and he had tried to purify the human nature through the handwriting.

      • 멀리뛰기 발구름 동작시 아킬레스건각이 도약속도와 도약각도에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of lower leg planting angle an on take-off motion of the long jump. The Achilles tendon angle defined as the angle between shank and calcaneus with projection to XY plane was introduced to interprete lower leg motion uring last foot touch for the flight phase of long jump. A typical high speed film analysis technique including DLT method was adapted to record and analyze total of nineteen long jumps performed by elite athletes at two different track and field events. The following were found that: 1. The relationship between touch-down velocity, take-off velocity, range of vertical velocity and flight length were significantly related each others as r=0.6383, 0.6395 respectively at t=0.01 level. 2. It was not possible to reveal the relationship between take-off angle and flight length. Due to highly consistent take-off angles shown between the long jumpers. 3. The angular displacement of the shank during the last foot contact just before flight phase was negatively related to the flight length(r= -0.6149). However, it was not possible to find the relationship between the aehilles tendon angle and flight length. 4. As the range of the body C.O.G lean angle increased the last step foot contact time significantly increased(r=0.8625). 5. The foot contact time of Korean elite long jumpers was somewhat longer than that shown by foreign Athletes. It is concluded that maintaining touch-down velocity during initial phase of foot touch and increasing take-off velocity would result optimal take-off angle and good record. Decrease in the angular displacement of the shank, foot contact duration, and the range of body C.O.G lean angle were found to be important to improve the flight length.

        Slab design procedures are presented in detail in the Structural Standard Criteria. These are the Direct Design Method, the Equivalent Frame Design Method, and the Factored Method, is allowed under an appendix II in the Structural Standard Criteria. Slabs are frequently built with beams spanning from column to column around the perimeter of the building. These beams act to stiffen the edge of the slab and help to reduce the deflection of exterior panels of the slab. The distribution of the moment in slabs differ according to the flexural stiffness ratio of the beam to the flexural stiffness of a width of slab bounded laterally by the centerlines of the adjacent panels on each side of the beam Later a study of the relation between the distribution of the moment and the aspecft ratio of the slab, ι_(2)/ι_(1), and the relative stiffness, α, the slab with spans of 7.5m x 5.5m has been analyzed by each slabs design method A comparison of the slab moment from the Finite Element Method analysis, the Direct Design Method, the Equivalent Frame Method, and the Factored Method show for here are 1. If the relative stiffness of the beam by the aspect ratio of the slab will be more than 1, distribution of moment assigned to the column strip is strongly affected by the aspect ratio of the slab than the relative stiffness of the beam in the Direct Design Method and the Equivalent Frame Method. Since the aspect ratio of the squar slabs like model 1-1,1-2,1-3, equal to 1, the distribution in slab isn't sensitively affected by the relative stiffness of the beam 2. For a long span/short span(λ) equal to 1.36:1, Model 2-1,2-2,2-3 which computed by the Direct Design Method and the Equivalent Frame Method shows similar stress distribution or lager one compare with the Finite Element Analysis. On the other hand, the Factored Method underestimates the stress in long span direction and overestimates the moment in short direction. As the beam size become big, the variation of stress distribution decrease, only the positive moment which computed by the Direct Design Method and the Equivalent Frame Method in the middle strip in short directon underestimates compare with the Finite Element Method Analysis. As the beam size become big, the variation of stress distribution increase.

        大學에서의 教養教育과 外國語教育

        The more the industrial society is specialized, the more specialists are needed. Accordingly the university, that produces them, becomes large-sized and intensifies the vocational education. This is the reason that the general education has become one of the essential functions of the university. As the result of the expansion, the university education for a number of elites becomes the general education for the mass, and the intensified vocational education also requires, as its basis, the general education as well as the research and study. The three-vocational education, research and general education-are the functions of the modern university in the advanced society. While these three are well harmonized in the universities of the well developped society, the Korean universities lay larger stress on the vocational education, and its direct result is the neglect of the general education as a whole. To make the matter worse, the foreign language teaching has another reason for the neglect. It is the lack of a definite theoretical conviction about the necessity of learning. Before the world war II,Reading was dominant in the foreign language teaching for the general education. With the end of the war, in order to reply the increasing need for the internation cultural interchange and mutual understanding, the property of the language as means of communication was emphasized, reading was condemned as the loss of energy and time, and speaking was the goal to be reached. But fluency of speaking is not attainable in the general school education under contemporary conditions. Thus the foreign language teaching came to be considered as good for nothing. But beside? as the means of communication, the foreign language has another important use. It has something essential to do with making of a man. That is why the classical lauguages have been studied in Europe and Chinese in Orient. Not speaking but reading is fundamental and important in the foreign language, learning. The reason for being of the foreign language learning in the general education is to be found in reading classics, developping one's mind, and forming such a character as proper to a good citizen;

      • 대게 Chionoecetes opilio (O. Fabricius)의 난발생 및 부화 유생의 형태

        This paper documented mophological changes of embryonic development and first zoea larvae of snow crab, Chionoecetes opilio. Female crabs were sampled by the Danish seine fishery at the depth about 200m in Sep. 1997 in the eastern coast of Korea. Female with newly berried eggs was reared at the water temperature of 5℃ till the time of hatching. The results obtained are as follows. Embryonic development : According to morphogenesis of fertilized eggs, the developmental process of the embryo was classified into the following seven stages : First stage (cleavage and blastula stage, 24 days) Second stage (gastrula stage, 72 days) Third stage (nauplius stage, 22 days) Fourth stage (metanauplius stage, 57 days) Fifth stage (stage of a pigmentary deposit in the compound eye, 30 days) Sixth stage (chromatophore appearance stage in maxillipede, 56 days) Seventh stage (hatching stage, 36 days) Larvae hatched as prezoeas and they molted to first zoea in about an hour. The first zoea is 4.6 to 5.1 ㎜ in length, 3.2∼3.6 ㎜ in width. The abdomen consists of five segments and a bifurcate telson.

        In the giant freshwater prawn Macrobrachium rosenbergii, the paired tests were united by the testes bridge in a H-shape. During mating male discharged two hemispermtophores from right and left genital pore and they were joined and formed a compound spermatophore in peach shape. Hemispermatophore was considered to be produced at proximal and middle vas deferens region. The compound spermatophore consisted of an eosinophilic inner matrix, a basophilic outer matrix and paired sperm mass burried in the basophilic matrix. The size of compound spermatophore was 6.4∼9.3 mm in length and 2.4∼5.1 mm in width regardless of carapace length. After the spermatophore was deposited on female's ventral sternum behind of 5th pereiopod, it was moved to the ventral surface of 3rd and 4th pereiopods by means of the beating of male's 1st and 2nd pleopods.
