Development of effective hydrogen storage technology is essentially needed to establish an efficient hydrogen energy system connected to the technologies of hydrogen production and utilization. Generally, hydrogen storage technology can be divided into 3 principal methods using compressed hydrogen, liquefied hydrogen, and metal-hydrided hydrogen, and currently, all of these hydrogen storage methods have been developed and commercially used. The hydrogen storage method using compressed hydrogen has been the most prevailing so far, but due to its safety problem following the use of high pressure(ca. 15MPa), the hydrogen storage method employing metal hydrides has also been investigated and improved consistently. In this study, a hydrogen storage tank that can store 5,000ℓ of hydrogen gas has been designed and manufactured, and its capability to be used as an efficient hydrogen storage container has been reviewed. The alloy, the formula of which is MmNi_4.7Al_0.3(Mm=misch metal), has been manufactured in the high-frequency induction heating vacuum furnace. The structure of the tank is inside-finned tube bundle type with 24 alloy particle packed tubes.

This paper describes a design and implementation of a intermediate code for a retargetable compiler. A retargetable compiler has capability for emitting multiple target machine code. The intermediate code resembles assemblely code of RISC style machines and has three address code. The intermediate code includes symbol informations. This symbol informations helps additional optimizing phases. The intermediate code generator emits intermediate code and intermediate code simulator simulates it. Generated code's validation is tested by intermediate code simulator.
수아세포종의 예후에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석 : An Analysis of Factors Influencing on Its Prognosis

Authors analyzed the results of treatment in 49 cases of medulloblastoma who had been operated upon at the Seoul National University Hospital from January 1972 to June 1987. There were 2 cases(4%) of postoperative mortality(death within postoperative one month) and 13 cases of late moratlity. The 3-year overall survival rate was 49.3% and 3-year disease-free survival rate was 48.5%. The risk period of recurrence was about 2 years after surgery. The 3-year survival rate was significantly better in "gross total resection" group, "radiation dose more than 50 Gy" group, and groupⅡ(23 cases operated after July 1982) (p<0.05). The rate of posterior fossa recurrence was lower in "gross total resection" group for the patients who received posteror fossa irradiation of more than 50 Gy.

There were a few works on computation of capacitance in electrostatic problems using method of moments. Point matching method was introduced at first, which calculate charge distributions on planar conflicting surface divided into small rectangles. This method could be applied to limited geometry. For this, it was presented that a method dividing conductor surface into triangular area can be applied in plate objects. Point matching method was also used. In this paper charge distributions and capacitance are computed with rectangular and triangular area functions, and accuracy is investigated. Point matching and Galerkin's method are used for testing. When integrating, approximate and numerical method were carried out and the convergence was observed. Pulse function and impulse or pulse function for testing. When field and source points coincide, the integration was done analytically, by doing this sample results were obtained and generalized for numerical integrations. For example in applications, the convergence of solution was investigated for rectangular plate and capacitance was compared with that of circular disk which has exact value.

The aim of this study is the development of technologies of methanol production from carbon dioxide by catalytic hydrogenation. Experiments about carbon dioxide hydrogenation by catalyst mixed with CuO, ZnO, Cr₂O₃ and Al₂O₃ were conducted to find optimum catalyst and reaction condition. Reactions were carried out at atmospheric and high pressures between 200 to 350℃. High yield of methanol was obtained with Cu/ZnO/Cr₂O₃/Al₂O₃ catalyst at 250℃ and above 30 atmospheric pressure. There was not any increament of hydrogenation reactivity for the catalysts which was made by the addition of Pd to Cu/ZnO/Cr₂O₃/Al₂O₃.

Chemical heat pump is one of the energy conversion technologies, which enables to use waste heat as a source of high grade heat. In 2-propanol/acetone system, the dehydrogenation of 2-propanol is an endothermic(heat absorption) reaction, and can be used to generate hydrogen because 2-propanol can be converted to acetone and hydrogen at low temperature(about 8℃) using catalyst. For the dehydrogenation of 2-propanol 5% Ru catalyst based on activated carbon is the best one at the reaction temparature of 83℃.

The catalytic hydrogenation of carbon dioxide has been studied for the fixation of carbon dioxide to mitigate global warming problems, but it needed hydrogen, which the price is still high. Recently, the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide has been drawn attractions because carbon dioxide could be converted to the valuable chemicals such as methane, ethane and alcohols electrochemically in the electrolyte solution using a catalytic electrode. This system is simple because the water electrolysis and hydrogenation take place at the same time using the surplus electricity at midnight. In this work, a continuous electrochemical reduction system was fabricated, which was composed of the reduction electrode(copper or perovskite type, 2 × 2 ㎠), reference electrode(platinum, 2 × 6 ㎠), standard electrode(Ag/AgCl), and potassium bicarbonate electrolyte solution saturated with carbon dioxide. The quality and quantity of the products and reduction current were analyzed, according to the electrolyte concentration and electrode type.
