Esthetic has become an indispensable factors to consider when choosing a orthodontic fixed appliances. However, most of the brackets used on orthodontics are made of metallic materials because those esthetic alternatives showed several controversies like brittleness, deformation and discoloration. The AISI austenitic classes, 303, 304, 316 and 317 type of stainless steels are frequently used for orthodontic metallic brackets fabrication. The composition of this type of alloy is 18 wt% of chrome, 8 wt% of nickel, 2 to 3 wt% of molybdenum and low carbon contents. They seemed to show relatively good characteristics to fabricate the orthodontic brackets in previous study. But in hostile condition such as low pH containing chlorine ion like saliva they might to be attacked by localized corrosion. The purposes of this study were to evaluate the microstructure, microhardness, corrosion resistance, frictional resistance and cytotoxocity of 316L(MD), AISI 304(AC) and experimentally produced super stainless stell bracket(SS). The results from this study were as follows; 1. MD and AC showed (Cr, Fe)23C6 precipitating in austenite matrix. SS showed small ferrite island forming in matrix. 2. SS showed the highest polarization resistance(Rp). SS seemed to have the highest corrosion resistance since SS showed 0.9 ×10-3 MPY, MD showed 3.7 ×10-3 MPY and AC showed 7.4×10-3 MPY. 3. The friction resistance decreased from 3 days to 4 weeks for SS(p<0.05). MD showed significant differences for the measurement of 3 days, 2 weeks and 4 weeks. AD did not showed significant differences to 3 days but increased at 2 weeks(p<0.05). 4. SS seemed to have the best biocompatibility since SS showed response index of 0/1 (mild), AC showed 1/2 (mild+) at cytotoxicity test. According to these results, SS seemed to have sufficient characteristics to fabricate the orthodontic brackets and superior corrosion resistance compare to AISI 300 type stainless steel which could lower the chance of nickel allergic reaction.
최소자승법을 이용한 다수 베타 방출 핵종 혼합물의 방사능 분석

베타선 스펙트럼의 최대 에너지가 확실하게 구별되는 2개의 핵종만을 포함하는 혼합시료의 경우에는 최대 에너지가 다르다는 점을 이용하여 손쉽게 각 핵종의 방사능값을 측정할 수 있다. 그러나 3개 이상의 베타 방출 핵종이 포함된 혼합물에 대해서는 각 핵종의 스펙트럼이 서로 겹치기 때문에 이러한 방법으로 구해진 방사능값은 신뢰도가 떨어지게 된다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 최소자승법을 이용하여 혼합물의 중첩된 베타선 스펙트럼을 각각 분리 정량분석할 수 있는 밥법을 제시하였다. 또한, 실제로 4개의 베타 방출 핵종 ^3H, ^14C, ^16Cl, 90Sr)이 혼합된 사료를 조제하여 본 분석법을 검증한 결과 최고치 Reference value)와 분석치가 7% 이내에서 잘 일치함을 보였다. It is possible to count and perform quench correction on two β-label samples so long as the maximum β-energies are sufficiently different. However, when the coventional technique is applied to the radioassay of a mixture of more than three nuclides, the reliability of the activiteis determined is considerably reduced, resulting from the large overlapping of liquid scintillation pulse height distributions of ezch nuclide. A technique that allows the activities of multiple β-labeled samples to be radioassayed was proposed by using the least square method. The technique was applied to mixture samples of ^3H, ^14C, ^16Cl, and ^90Sr. The analytical values were in good agreement with the reference values within 7% relstive error.

Hypoparathyroidism is usually the result of an inadvertent surgical removal of all the parathyroid glands, In some instances, not all the tissues are removed, but the remainder undergoes vascular supply compromise secondary to the fibrotic changes in the neck after surgery, Previously, the surgery for hyperthyroidism was the most frequent cause of acquired hypoparathyroidism. Idiopathic hypoparathyroidism is a relatively rare disease that is characterized by hypocalcemia and hyperphosphatemia due to a parathyroid hormone deficiency of an unknown cause, It usually develops at a young age, and shows various clinical symptoms and signs accompanied with hypocalcemia. In addition, it is rarely associated with polyglandular autoimmune syndrome during the follow-up. Hypocalcemia and idiopathic hypoparathyroidism associated with labor and lactation are rarely reported condition previously. We here describe a case of a woman in whom the symptomatic severe hypocalcemia appeared after her delivery. We reviewed all the previously reported cases and suggest a possible physiological explanation for the association between pregnancy, lactation, and the appearance of symptomatic hypocalcemia.
[진동·소음부문] 음향 홀로그래피를 이용한 자동차 타이어의 전연과 후연 소음의 구분 가능성에 대한 연구

Tire noise is generated by several noise sources. For the effective control of the tire noise, it is necessary to separate the contributions of the sources to sound field. However, it is difficult to separate the leading edge and trailing edge noise of tire, because they have the same frequency band. This paper performed the basic experiment for the separation of the leading and trailing edge noise. The experiment on two incoherent speakers showed the possibility to separate of leading and trailing edge noise.
