        가야산 국립공원일대의 식생 및 식물상 연구 : 단지봉 지역을 중심으로 Especially on the Danji-bong Area

        본 조사지역인 가야산국립공원은 지리학적으로는 북위 35?5′00″~35?9′30″, 동경 128?2′30″~128?09′30″에 위치하고, 행적구역상으로는 경상남도의 합천군과 거창군, 경상북도의 성주군, 고령군에 걸쳐 있으며, 총면적은 57.81 km꼬?이른다. 가야산은 우리나라 기후지역상 온대남부에 위치하고, 식물구계학적으로는 남부아구에, 식생구계학상으로는 냉온대에 속하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 또한, 전체면적의 약 82.5%가 해발 600m 이상이며, 1,000m이상이 약 10.3%에 해당된다. 가야산의 해인사-극락골-토신골 지역은 잘 보존된 소나무림이 우점하고 있고, 부분적으로 노각나무가 산생하는 것이 관찰되었으며, 해인사-진대밭골-두리봉 지역은 계곡에는 소나무와 졸참나무가 고지대에는 신갈나무 등이 부분적으로 군락을 형성하고 있었다. 또한 남산제일봉과 북사면은 각각 등산로와 임도가 형성되어 있어 소나무와 졸참나무, 신갈나무 등이 혼재된 양상을 나타내었고, 백운동계곡 주변은 다른 사면과 달리 식생의 발달정도가 소나무와 관목위주로 매우 단순했다. 특기할만한 점은 상왕봉 주변에서 흰참꽃, 설앵초, 네귀쓴풀, 백리향, 솔나리, 구름송이풀 등의 희귀 또는 고산성 식물들이 분포하는 것이 확인되었다. 가야산국립공원지역에 분포하는 양치식물 이상의 관속식물을 대상으로 조사한 결과 91과 268속 373종 1아종 75변종 12품종 4잡종으로 총 465분류군이 조사 확인되었으며, 이는 우리나라 관속식물 4,071 분류군의 11.4%에 해당되었다. 한국특산식물은 11과 15속 15분류군으로 조사지역내 분포하는 465분류군중 약 3.2%이며. 식물구계학적 특정식물은 17과 21속 25분류군으로 이는 가야산 소산식물 465분류군의 5.4%이었고, 조사지역에 분포하는 귀화식물은 5과 7속 7분류군으로 우리 나라전체 귀화식물종 177종류의 4%이다. 또한 가야산 단지봉(1,028.5m)에서 새로 발견된 산간습지 (forested wetland)와 자란초 자생 군락지에 대해 식생 및 층위별 종조성을 토대로 현존 식생 구조를 분석하였다. This study aims to investigate the flora of Mt. Gaya National Park, especially focused on the forested wetland vegetation of Danji-bong area. The flora of Mt. Gaya was investigated from April in 2003 to October in 2004. Vascular plants of this area consist of total 465 taxa, 4 hybrids, 12 forma, 75 varieties, 1 subspecies, 373 species, 268 genera, 91 families. It corresponds to 11.4% of totally 4,071 taxa appeared in Korea. Korean endemic plants were composed 11 families, 15 genera, 14 species, 1 variety and totaling 15 taxa. And also actual vegetation structures were analyzed the newly founded forested wetland and natural population Ajuga spectabilis on the Danji- bong area using the vegetation and the species composition by tree layer.

      • 몇 소나무類의 葉綠素 含量의 月別 變化

        植物體는 生存 또는 生長을 위해 光合成作用을 하며, 綠色植物은 이를 위한 色素로서 葉綠體를 가지고 있다. 따라서 이의 含量은 生長能力이나 各種 stress에 대한 生理的 活成變化를 나타내는 指標로 이용되는데 이에 對한 硏究報告는 基礎的 資料로서의 重要性에도 불구하고 林木 특히 소나무類에 있어서는 극히 드물었다. 이에 서울大學交 農科大學 構內에 있는 소나무類 5樹種에 對한 針葉單位生重量當 葉綠素含量을 月別測定한 結果 樹種間의 含量差異는 뚜렷하니지 않았으나 測定時期間에는 差異를 보였다. 總葉綠素의 含量變化는 葉綠素 a의 含量變化에 起因하며 이는 여름철에는 높고 겨울철에는 낮았다. 또한 最大値는 2年生 針葉을 7, 8月에 測定했을 때 나타났다. 이러한 結果를 綜合해 볼 때 소나무類의 生理的 生活은 葉綠素 a와 密接한 關係를 갖고 있는 것으로 思料된다. To obtain the fundamental data about the chlorophyll contents of some conifers, monthly measurements of them per unit fresh weight(g) of needles were performed. The results were summarized as follows. 1. Difference of total chlorophyll contents between measuring times in a species was clear but not between species. Total chlorophyll content in summer showed high value and that in winter did low value. 2. In general, the total chlorophyll contents of the conifers showed the highest values in two-year-old needles, measured in July or August. 3. Monthly change of total chlorophyll contents was mainly due to that of the contents of chlorophyll a, and the contents of chlorophyll b was not varied greatly with measuring times. 4. It seems that the physiological activity of needles was closely related with the contents of chlorophyll a.

        Growth Response of Alnus hirsuta Seedlings after Artificial Inoculation with VA - mycorrhizal Fungi

        This study was to examine the growth of Alnus hirsuta seedlings after artificial inoculation with two kind of VA-mycorrhizal fungi, Glomus mosseae and Gigaspora sp., under three different soil textures, sandy soil, loamy soil (sandy: clay = 1 : 1, v/v), and clay soil The seedlings inoculated with Glomus showed the increased leaf area, leaf number height growth, photosynthetic activity, and nutrient absorption. The dry weight was 4.5 or 4.7 times heigher than that of control in sandy soil and clay soil, respectively. However, the growth in loamy soil response was not greater than the control. The nutrients absorption was increased by Glomus inoculation. The growth and nutrient absorption were not improved by Gigaspora inoculation, indicating that the mycorrhizal association between Alnus and Gigaspora was poor. The differences in nutrient concentration were not significant between mycorrhizal and non-mycorrhizal seedlings in all soil textures. Glomus showed high inoculum rate and increased the Alnus growth. Whereas Gigaspora showed poor hyphal development and did not affect the growth of Alnus. The results obtained in this study indicated that careful selection of best strain of VA-mycorrhizal. fungi and proper soil texture are recommended to improve the growth of Alnus seedlings.

        Congenital Non-Neural Granular Cell Tumor Mimicking Nevus Lipomatosus Superficialis

        A 4-month-old infant presented with asymptomatic soft nodules on his right forearm, which had developed since birth. On the suspicion of nevus lipomatosus superficialis (NLS), biopsy was performed. Histopathologic findings showed monomorphic polygonal cells with abundant granular cytoplasm. Immunohistochemical stains for CD68 and vimentin were strongly positive, but were negative for S-100 protein. Based on the pathologic findings, the patient was diagnosed as non-neural granular cell tumor (NN-GCT). GCT can be divided into conventional and non-neural GCT by immunoreactivity for S-100 protein. NN-GCT is typically manifested as a well-circumscribed, papulo-nodular dermal mass, and is known to occur in a younger group than does in conventional GCT, but is rare among children. To our knowledge, there have been no case reports of NN-GCT which appeared at birth and presented as grouped nodules. Therefore, we report this interesting case of congenital NN-GCT clinically mimicking NLS. (Ann Dermatol 29(6) 776∼778, 2017)

      • P069 Comparison of reactivity to allergens between the TRUE test and IQ chamber system in Korea

        Background: Patch test is recognized to be an important diagnostic method for allergic contact dermatitis, and its reproducibility is very crucial in practice. To date, there has been only one study comparing response to allergen using TT panel and the investigator-loaded IQ<sup>®</sup> Chamber (IQC) system. This was the study done on European population, and the study of this kind was never done on Korean, or even Asian population. Objectives: To compare allergen responses using TT panel and investigator-loaded IQ<sup>®</sup> Chamber (IQC) method using the Korean Standard Series (KSS). Methods: Patients with suspected allergic contact dermatitis were applied TT panel on the left and IQC method on the right on the lesion-free side of the back simultaneously, then comparing and evaluating the results. Results: Simultaneous positive results in both tests were shown in 242 tests, with positive concordance rate at 66.7%, and IQC showed more positive results. Some of the allergen with high concordance rate of positive results were nickel sulphate (82.1%), thimerosal (78.6%), and p-phenylenediamine (73.3%). Comparison of response intensity level showed concordance of reaction strength to be 88.4%, and discordance 11.6%. Conclusion: TT and IQC show high concordance, and their responses to allergens were similar. In addition, IQC showed similar to higher positive rates than TT, with exception of a few allergens, and this finding implies IQC can be used to prevent misinterpreting false negative response when using TT.

        Phytoglycoprotein (150 kDa) isolated from Solanum nigrum Linne has a preventive effect on dextran sodium sulfate-induced colitis in A/J mouse

        <P>The purpose of this study was to investigate the preventive effect of glycoprotein (SNL glycoprotein, 150 kDa) isolated from Solanum nigrum Linne fruits on dextran sulfate sodium (DSS, 3%)-induced colitis in A/J mice. To determine the physiological change by SNL glycoprotein, we first evaluated nitric oxide production, lactate dehydrogenase release and thiobarbituric acid reactive substances formation in the mice serum. After that, we tested the activity of inflammation-related signals such as transcriptional factor [nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) and activator protein-1 (AP-1)], inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) in the mice colon tissues. Our results showed that SNL glycoprotein has a dose-dependent inhibitory effect on nitric oxide production, lactate dehydrogenase release, and thiobarbituric acid reactive substances formation. In the inflammation-related signal, our finding showed that SNL glycoprotein (20 mg kg<SUP>−1</SUP>) has a suppressive effect on activities of NF-κB (p50) and AP-1 (c-Jun), and regulates the expression of iNOS and COX-2 in the downstream of signal pathway. Taken together, the results in this study indicated that SNL glycoprotein has potential for prevention of colitis caused by DSS in A/J mice. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.</P>

        Molecular Cloning and Expression of a Laccase from Ganoderma lucidum, and Its Antioxidative Properties

        Laccases are multicopper-containing oxidases that catalyze the oxidation of many aromatic compounds with concomitant reduction of oxygen to water. Interest in this enzyme has arisen in many fields of industry, including detoxification, wine stabilization, paper processing, and enzymatic conversion of chemical intermediates. In this study, we cloned a laccase gene (GLlac1) from the white-rot fungus Ganoderma lucidum. The cloned gene consists of 4,357 bp, with its coding region interrupted by nine introns, and the upstream region has putative CAAT and TATA boxes as well as several metal responsive elements (MREs). We also cloned a full-length cDNA of GLlac1, which contains an uninterrupted open reading frame (ORF) of 1,560 bp coding for 520 amino acids with a putative 21-residue signal sequence. The DNA and deduced amino acid sequences of GLlac1 were similar but not identical to those of other fungal laccases. GLlac1 was released from the cells when expressed in P. pastoris, and had high laccase activity. In addition, GLlac1 conferred antioxidative protection from protein degradation, and thus may be useful in bio-medical applications.

        Inhibition of Coagulation Activation and Inflammation by a Novel Factor Xa Inhibitor Synthesized from the Earthworm <i>Eisenia andrei</i>

        <P>We have cloned an earthworm-derived Factor Xa (FXa) inhibitor, with an excellent inhibitory specificity from the midgut of the <I>Eisenia andrei</I>. We designate this inhibitor eisenstasin. An eisenstasin-derived small peptide (ESP) was synthesized and we examined whether ESP played an essential role in FXa inhibition. Compared to antistasin-derived small peptides (ASP) originating from leech, ESP primarily exhibited a high level of FXa inhibition in chromogenic peptide substrate assays and revealed an approximately 2-fold greater inhibition of FXa cleavage of a target protein than ASP. This suggests that ESP could be an effective anti-coagulant that targets FXa during the propagation step of coagulation. ESP also inhibited proteinase-activated receptor 2-mediated FXa activation, which may trigger endothelial inflammation. Endothelial nitric oxide (NO) was significantly reduced by ESP (<I>p</I><0.0001), indicating that protease-activated receptor-2 (PAR-2) was effectively inactivated. We also found that ESP reduced the expressions of pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1α, IL-1β, IL-8, IL-16, MCP-1, MIP-1α and MIP-1β) by cultured cells treated with both ESP and FXa. Our results provide the first evidence that ESP might interrupt coagulation cascades by inhibiting FXa, and thereby may effectively control the bidirectional alternation between coagulation and inflammation.</P>
