Quercetin is one of the bioflavonoid compounds and has multiple biological effects such as antioxidant and effective anti-inflammatory agent. Melanin has an important role in protecting human skin from the damaging effects of ultra-violet (UV) radiation. We studied the effect of quercetin on proliferation of B16/F10 melanoma cells. After 48h treatment of cells with quercetin, the cells exhibited a dose- dependent inhibition in their proliferation without apoptosis. Therefore, the decrease in cell numbers may be due to cell growth arrest, not due to cell death by cytotoxiciy. We also investigated the effect of quercetin on melanogenesis of this cells. B16/F10 melanoma cells were grown for 48h in the presence of 0.01∼50μg/ml Quercetin and the total melanin contents were measured. Quercetin stimulated melanization of the cells in low concentrations (0.01-20μg/ml), whereas it inhibited melanization in high concentrations (30-50 μg/ml). It was observed that quercetin differently regulates melanogenesis of B16/F10 melanoma cells dependent on its concentrations.

Objective: Cervical stabilization exercises are frequently to improve strength and endurance of cervical muscles. The purpose of this study was to identify changes in head repositioning accuracy (HRA) and neck proprioception through cervical stabilization exercises in healthy adults. Design: One group pretest-posttest design. Methods: Thirteen participants with no previous history of neck pain or injury to the cervical spine were recruited. HRA was measured by equipment including laser pointer, helmet, eye patch and marking pens. The distance between the spot where the beam had stopped and the center of the graph paper was measured three times with the averaged value used as the head repositioning accuracy. Neck proprioception was measured by a cervical range of motion device (CROM). Subjects wore the CROM tester and were to look straight ahead while bending his/her neck. Subjects were instructed to perform extension, lateral flexion and rotation, and the values were then measured and recorded. The measurements were performed pre-intervention, and after cervical stabilization exercise. Results: There was no significant difference on HRA after intervention. In addition, there was no significant difference on neck proprioception compared with pre-intervention. Conclusions: The present study did not identify any effect on HRA and neck proprioception of cervical stabilization exercise. Further investigations are required to elucidate this in old aged participants and patients with neck pain.

lt has been used chat fluorinated compounds could be applied to Make-up products. lt is that fluorinated compounds are hydropliobiciry, lipopliobiciry and lioinophobicitv. These fluorinated compounds are reported ro form a highly prorecrive and effective film againsr most aggressive chemical and physical agents. In this study we made a success to formulate the new type of lipstick using perfluoropolymerhylisopropylether (PPIH, MW- 650. commercial name - Fomblin HC/01 by Ausimont Co.) with low-molecular weight which is long wearing and comfortable (excellent) to use. This PPIE was adsorbed more than 90% in this experinient and formed the well-balanced gei nerworks even if the selected PP1E is 100% volutile ar room remperarure. On the basis of the adsorprion of FPIE, we developed rlie new type lipstick, whicli was highly-lip feeling and had long wearing and non coloration. And these cliaracreristics were verified by acrual consumer test.
