Retraction Fiber of Migrating Glioblastoma Cells Serve a Trail for Cell Migration

Glioblastoma (GBM) is a refractory disease which has highly infiltrative characteristic. Over the past decade, GBM perivascular niche have been described as a route of dissemination. Here, we investigated that trailed membrane structures, namely retraction fibers (RFs), are formed by perivascular enriched extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins. By using the anatomical GBM database, we figured out ECM genes are enriched in perivascular niche. Among these ECMs, fibronectin (FN) induced RF formation. By disrupting candidate FN-binding integrins, integrin α5 was identified as a main regulator of RF formation. De novo RFs were produced at trailing edge, and focal adhesions were actively localized in RFs, indicating adhesive force makes RF to remained at the bottom surface. Finally, in a microfluidic experiment, migrating cells moved along the residual RFs, suggesting that RFs serve a trail for following migrating cells. Altogether, we demonstrated that shedding membrane structures of glioblastoma cells are maintained by ECM-integrin adhesion and performed a role as a trail for cell migration.

Chromophobe renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is an uncommon subtype of RCC having a better prognosis than clear cell RCC. Although there are several reports of seeding metastasis of RCC after biopsy, seeding metastasis of chromophobe RCC after surgical resection has seldom been reported. Here, we describe a case of multiple seeding metastases in the abdomen and pelvis 78 months after robot-assisted laparoscopic partial nephrectomy, without prior history of biopsy for chromophobe RCC in the right kidney. As magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the pelvic mass showed a similar appearance to the primary renal mass and displayed separate margins with the rectum and prostate gland, we were able to make a diagnosis before pathologic confirmation.

We present image findings, especially rare MRI of a primary breast angiosarcoma with its histopathology, and also analyze the relevant medical literature reports in terms of the MRI findings. As our patient had unique features of a primary breast angiosarcoma, this case could be very helpful for future diagnosis of this rare breast malignancy by MRI.
Evaluation of Moisture Resistance of Asphalt Mixture Containing refined air-cooled slag

In this study, we conducted laboratory tests to evaluate the moisture resistance of the asphalt mixture containing air-cooled slag. Generally, in Korea, hydrated lime is used up to 1.5% of the aggregate weight to improve the moisture resistance of the asphalt mixture. The slag used in this study is a byproduct produced in the steel industry and can be produced through a specific process. And its chemical composition is similar to that of the hydrated lime stone and satisfies the filler quality standards of the Ministry of Land, Transport and Transport. In order to evaluate the moisture resistance of the asphalt mixture containing air-cooled slag, we conducted the dynamic immersion test, which is a non-compaction mixture test. Also we conducted the indirect tensile strength ratio test and the Hamburg wheel tracking test for compaction asphalt mixture test. As a result of the dynamic immersion test, the effect of stripping prevention was similar to that of hydrated lime because it did not show much difference from the hydrated lime mixture. In the case of indirect tensile strength test, the specimens prepared in the laboratory and on the site satisfied the quality standards of the Ministry of Land, Transport and Logistics and the TSR value increased with increasing the content of air-cooled slag. However, when the content of air-cooled slag is more than 2%, the indirect tensile strength value is getting lower. So it is judged that the appropriate content should be determined to be 2% or less. In the case of the Hamburg wheel tracking test, when the steel wheel load passed 20,000 times on the asphalt mixture containing 2% of air-cooled slag, it showed 5.27mm deformation. And the stripping point was not observed. In this study, it was found that when the air-cooled slag is used as a substitute for hydrated lime, the moisture resistance of the asphalt mixture can be improved. It is considered that the aircooled slag can be used for the asphalt pavement material through the characteristics analysis of mechanical and field application in the future

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The purpose of the present study was to investigate the performance of the dual-port injection (DPI) system in an automotive spark-ignition engine. The DPI system utilizes two port fuel injection (PFI) injectors per cylinder, i.e., one injector at each intake port. An original 4-cylinder PFI engine head was modified to accommodate total 8 PFI injectors. In the present study, three spray angles and two install configurations were investigated in the intake port visualization, steady-state part-load experiments, and cold-start experiment. The intake port spray visualization experiment showed that the wider fuel spray provided better fuel distribution, but also more wall wetting. The steady-state engine experiment at the several critical part-load conditions showed that the DPI system in combination with the open-valve-injection strategy achieved the most brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) reduction of 4.6%. The average BSFC reduction of the 9-point experiment was 2.8%. The cold-start experiment also showed a fuel economy gain by the DPI system. In the cold-start experiment the wider spray angle exhibited higher total hydrocarbon emission likely due to the greater wall wetting observed in the intake port spray images.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Dual port-fuel injection (DPI) for a spark ignition engine. </LI> <LI> High-speed camera visualized the wider spray angle of the DPI system. </LI> <LI> The DPI improved fuel economy by 2.8%. </LI> <LI> The DPI reduced hydrocarbon in cold-start. </LI> </UL> </P>
코치의 직무자원과 업무만족도의 관계: 직무요구를 통한 직무열의의 조절된 매개효과

목적: 본 연구는 운동선수 코치의 업무와 관련된 긍정적인 변인을 밝히려는 연구의 일환이다. 이를 위해 직무요구-자원(JD-R) 모델에서 직무열의를 통해 업무와 관련된 긍정적 측면을 밝히려는 동기적 과정을 적용해 관련변인을 선정하고 분석을 실시하였다. 구체적으로 코치들이 지각하는 직무자원과 업무만족도의 관계에서 직무열의의 매개효과를 검증하고, 최종적으로 직무자원과 직무요구의 상호작용효과를 검증하였다. 방법: 학원스포츠 현장에서 선수를 지도하는 코치 156명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 측정도구는 코칭업무에 부합되게 수정된 직무자원, 직무열의, 직무요구, 업무만족도 등 4가지 검사지를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 기술통계 분석을 시작으로 신뢰도 분석, 구성타당도 분석, 상관관계 분석을 실시하였으며, 최종적인 연구문제를 검증하기 위해 단순매개모형 분석과 조건부 분석을 실시하여 결과를 도출하였다. 결과: 첫째, 코치의 직무자원은 직무열의를 경유하여 업무만족도를 긍정적으로 예측할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 코치의 직무자원이 직무열의를 통해 업무만족도에 미치는 간접효과가 직무요구의 수준이 높을수록 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 스포츠 현장의 코치들이 지각하는 직무열의는 코치업무의 긍정적인 측면을 설명하는 주요한 변인이라는 것이 확인되었지만, 과도한 직무요구가 발생하면 업무에 부정적 영향을 미칠 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the positive variables related to the work of coaches. Therefore, relevant variables were selected and analyzed by applying the motivational aspect, which is a positive process described in the job demands-resources model. Specifically, the mediating effect of job engagement was verified in the relationship between job resources and job satisfaction perceived by coaches, and finally, the interaction effect between job resources and job demands was verified. Methods: Data were collected from 156 coaches through questionnaires that assessed the job resources, job engagement, job demands, and job satisfaction. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, construct validity, correlation analysis, mediation effect test, and conditional process analysis. Results: The results showed that the job resources mediated the job satisfaction through job engagement. This relationship was reduced by higher levels of the job demands. Conclusion: It was confirmed that the job engagement perceived by coaches in the sports field is a major variable explaining the positive aspects of coaching. However, it was found that excessive job demands can have a negative impact on work.
