본 연구는 2002년 1월 한국판으로 표준화가 이루어진 MBTI Form K와 NEO인성검사와의 상관관계를 살펴본 연구이다. 일반인 319명을 대상으로 하였으며 연구문제로 MBTI Form K의 4가지 선호지표와 NEO인성검사의 5요인구조와 어떤 상관이 있으며, 상관이 있다면 그 하위척도간에는 어떤 상관이 있는지를 다루었다. 또한 MBTI Form G와 Form K의 4가지 선호 지표와의 상관관계도 알아보았다. 또 연구는 이러한 지표와 각각의 하위 척도간의 상관을 살펴봄으로써 사람의 성격을 보다 폭 넓게 이해할 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하는데 의의가 있다. The purpose of this research is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the individual personalities by studying the correlation between the four preference scales of the MBTI Form K and the five factors of the NEO-PI-R, and between 20 multi-subscales of the MBTI Form K and 30 subscales of the NEO-PI-R. The research subjects were 319 adults and MBTI Form K and NEO-PI-R were used as the testing tools. The results of the research are as follows; First, the following scales manifested statistically significant correlation to each other; EA preference scale of the Form K with E scale of the NEO-PI-R, S-N to O, T-F to A, J-P to C. Second, there are high correlations between the 20 multi-subscales of the MBTI Form K and the 30 subscales of the NEO-PI-R when there are statistically significant correlations between the 4 preferences of the MBTI Form K and the 5 factors of the NEO-PI-R. Third, in spite of high correlations between scales of each instrument, the result of this research shows that there is no manifestation of a correlation between the T-F multi-subscales of the MBTI Form K and the Straightforwardness(A2) subscale of Agreeableness(A) scales of the NEO-PI-R, Moreover, there is a correlation between the Receiving and Contained subcales of E-1 scales of the MBTI Form K and A2 subscale of A scales of the NEO-PI-R. Thus the study result indicates that a need to conduct an additional research on the T-F preference scale of the MBTI Form K in relation to A scales of the NEO-PI-R. In conclusion of this study is that the two instruments show a high correlations between subscales which are related to special characteristics of a human personality.

Utilization of carbon sources by Bacillus cereus D324, a biological control agent, and Pythium species, which causes rice seedling disease, was studied with the objective of increasing the efficacy of biological control by providing the biological control agent with specific beneficial carbon sources. D-galactose, D-sorbitol, and D-mannitol were poor carbon sources for Pythium spp. growth but were good for B. cereus D324 growth. Growth in a growth chamber of rice seeds coated with B. cereus D324 amended with specific carbon sources, such as D-galactose and D-sorbitol, showed significantly enhanced seedling emergence compared to seeds coated only with B. cereus D324. Field trials showed that both seedling emergence and yield increased, when the above specific carbon sources were added to B. cereus D324 in seed coating formulations. This result indicated that amending seed coating formulations with specific carbon sources could significantly increase seedling emergence and yield in the field.

<P> In underground tunnels, friction between the wheels and rails of subway trains creates particles, which are spread by the wind generated when trains pass by. A louver dust collector was attached to the bottom of a T-car of Seoul Subway Line 5 train in an effort to remove PM<SUB>10</SUB> inside tunnels, and obtain data when it was in actual operation. It made several round trips during which differential pressure of the louver dust collector was measured in relation to train speed. By comparing and verifying the differential pressure estimated by simulation and that actually measured, it was possible to estimate average flow of air that went into the louver dust collector. Furthermore, by comparing and verifying the measurement results on collection efficiency of a lab-scale louver dust collector in a wind tunnel, along with the results of numerical analysis, it was possible to estimate the collection efficiency in relation to subway train speed. As a result, it was confirmed that higher running speeds of subway trains increased the flow of air going into the louver dust collector and subsequently decreased the particle size corresponding to 50% collection efficiency. In other words, the cut-off size was estimated to be 9.7 μm at the lowest speed of 5 km h<SUP>-1</SUP>, and 4.9 μm at the top speed of 65 km h<SUP>-1</SUP>, in normal speed range for the Seoul Subway Line 5 trains. </P>
Performance of organic Rankine cycle using waste heat from electric vehicle battery

The battery of an electric vehicle (EV) must be appropriately cooled to prevent battery overheating while driving. Waste heat from EV batteries is typically recovered and used for indoor heating instead of generating electricity. In this study, an organic Rankine cycle (ORC) using electric vehicle (EV) battery heat as a heat source was designed with a particular focus on the turbine. The mean-line design of a single-stage axial-flow turbine was performed, and the turbine performance was analyzed. The isentropic efficiency of the designed turbine was 0.75, and the electrical power was approximately 100 W. The thermal efficiency of the ORC was 4.23 % at a working fluid temperature of 25 °C at the condenser outlet. This used 2.24 kW of battery heat, which is approximately 78 % of the EV battery waste heat considered in this study. Therefore, applying the ORC to an EV recovers a significant amount of waste heat from the battery to reduce the battery temperature and generate electricity. Furthermore, we present an operation method that can improve the thermal efficiency of the EV ORC and is applicable in situations where the evaporation and condensation are not constant.

Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) is an eco-friendly thermodynamic system that can generate useful power using unused thermal energy. The ORC consists of an evaporator, a condenser, a pump and a turbine. Among them, the turbine plays an important role in converting the thermal energy of the working fluid to mechanical energy that drives the generator. Therefore, it is very important to design the turbine and verify its performance. A closed loop system can be used to verify the performance of turbine, but it takes a lot of time and money because it used a real refrigerant. Therefore, in this study, an open loop system was used for the air similarity test with the law of similarity. In order to satisfy the similarity law of the turbo machinery, conditions that satisfy geometric, kinematic, and mechanical similarity were selected using the turbine dimensionless number such as flow coefficient and work coefficient. The selected test conditions were an inlet temperature of 80℃, an inlet pressure of 2.0 bar, a rotation speed of 5,000 rpm, and a pressure ratio of 1.05. Furthermore, the process of selecting the air similarity test conditions was described, and the configuration of the test device and the test method were presented.
