Benzene was oxidized by binary oxidants composed of nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide at 80℃. The product obtained was analyzed with gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer. Eight high value compounds, 2-nitrophenol, 2-chloro-6-nitrophenol, 4-chloro-2- nitrophenol, 2-chloro-4-nitrophenol, 2,4-dinitrophenol, 4-nitrophenol, 2,6-dinitrophenol and 2-chloro-4,6-dinitro-phenol were found, which they have high contents in the range from 4.28% to 32.52%. These compounds are very widely used in organic synthesis. e.g., synthesizing dye, medicines and chemical reagents, pesticide, explosive, polymer, etc.

Two new phenolic glycosides were isolated from the rhizomes of Curculigo orchioides Gaertn.. Based on comprehensive spectroscopic analyses including IR, MS, 1D- and 2D NMR (COSY, HSQC, and HMBC), their structures were elucidated as 3-hydroxyl-5-methyphenol-1-O-[β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→3)-β-D-glucopyranoside (1) and 1',3'-dimethoxyl-4-hydroxyalangifolioside (2).

To evaluate the effects of chelated Zn/Cu/Mn on redox status, immune responses and hoof health in lactating Holstein cows, 48 head in early lactation were divided into healthy or lame groups according to their gait score. Cows were fed the same amount of Zn/Cu/Mn as sulfate salts or in chelated forms for 180 days, and foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) vaccine was injected at day 90. The results showed that lame cows had lower antioxidant function, serum Zn/Mn levels, hair Cu levels, and hoof hardness. Moreover, increased antioxidant status, FMD antibody titers, serum and hair levels of Zn/Cu/Mn, and hoof hardness and decreased milk fat percent and arthritis biomarkers were observed in cows fed chelated Zn/Cu/Mn. In summary, supplementation with chelated Zn/Cu/Mn improved antioxidant status and immune responses, reduced arthritis biomarkers, and increased accumulation of Zn/Cu/Mn in the body and hoof hardness in dairy cows.
한국 밀레니얼 소비자의 중국산 고관여제품 구매의도 영향요인

The main objective of this study is to identify the antecedents of the purchase intention of Korean millennial consumers on high involvement products made in China, focusing on the personal characteristics of the millennial consumers in Korea. 203 samples were finally used for this analysis using SPSS program. The results of the study are as follows ; First, Openness and extroversion in personal traits have positive (+) effect on customer satisfaction. Second, perceived social risk has been found to play a mediating role in the relationship between extroversion and customer satisfaction. Third, The customer satisfaction has positive (+) effect on purchase intention. As a result, companies which want to sell high-involvement products made in China are found to be effective in focusing on Korean millennial consumers with open personality characteristics and high levels of extroversion, when establishing marketing strategies in Korea. Furthermore, firms which want to sell high-involvement products made in China should also consider managing perceived social risk which plays a mediating role. 한국 소비자들은 보조배터리와 같은 저관여 중국산제품은 잘 구매하지만 노트북, 자동차와 같은 고관여 중국산 제품은 구매하기를 주저한다. 따라서 본 연구는 기존 선행연구의 한계점을 보완하고자 미래 소비의 중심으로 떠오를 한국 밀레니얼의 개인적 특성을 중심으로 고관여제품의 구매의도에 영향을 미치는 선행요인을 파악해보고자 하였다. 연구모형의 검증결과, 밀레니얼 소비자의 개방성과 외향성은 고객만족도에 유의한 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 외향성과 고객만족도 사이에 지각된 사회적위험이 매개효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구결과를 바탕으로 이론적, 실무적으로 유용한 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다.

Background/Aims: To investigate serological patterns of hepatitis B based on electrochemiluminescent immunoassays and the distribution characteristics of these patterns in hospitalized children and adolescents in Zhejiang, China between 2006 and 2010. Methods: Five serological markers, including hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg), antibody to hepatitis B surface antigen (anti-HBs), antibody to hepatitis B e antigen (anti-HBe), and antibody to hepatitis B c antigen (anti-HBc), were chosen as a routine panel to monitor hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection and vaccination effi cacy. A total of 33,187 children (21,187 boys and 12,000 girls) were selected using the following exclusion criteria: a previous diagnosis of hepatitis, age >16 years or an address outside of Zhejiang. Results: The average HBV vaccination coverage rates among 20,766 boys and 11,782 girls were 98.62% and 98.68%, respectively. Seventeen serological patterns of hepatitis B were found, and the dominant pattern was ``anti-HBs (+) alone`` (62.03%) followed by ``negative pattern`` (23.46%). The rates of the other 15 patterns ranged from 8.14% to 0.003%. Of 236 HBsAg-positive patients, the overall rate of seropositivity was 0.71%. The anti-HBs levels were grouped into 3 ranges (10- 100 mIU/mL, 100-1,000 mIU/mL, and >1,000 mIU/mL) for all anti-HBs-positive children (36.08%, 43.43%, and 20.49%, respectively). Conclusions: A low HBsAg carrier rate and a relatively high anti-HBs positive rate are present in hospitalized children and adolescents in Zhejiang. The distribution of serological patterns is associated with age but is mostly independent of gender. (Gut Liver 2011;5:210-216)

A novel process for urokinase purification was studied using p-aminobenzamidine as the ligand and sepharose 4B as the matrix. The adsorption, washing, and elution conditions were optimized by an unusual method. An adsorption buffer containing 2.5 M NaCl and 1% Tween 80 facilitated the adsorption of urokinase on the affinity media and prevented contaminants from binding to the p-aminobenzamidine affinity gel. It was found that 5% Tween 80 removed most of the contaminants from the affinity column. A 0.2 M glycine elution buffer containing 0.5 M NaCl (pH 3.0) was found to have a strong elution ability with a high recovery and purity of urokinase. A crude urokinase material of 231 IU/mg protein from human urine was purified to 124,300 IU/mg protein with a purification factor of 538 and yield of 86.7%. As a result, a high purity urokinase was obtained with only a single affinity chromatography step. The purification process was successfully scaled-up to a 2-1 chromatography column. The resulting urokinase eluate could be directly lyophilized, thereby complying with Chinese pharmacopoeia (1995 version) standards.

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common type of presenile and senile dementia. Human β-amyloid precursor cleavage enzyme (BACE-1) is a key enzyme responsible for amyloid plaque production. We assessed anti-BACE-1 and behavioral activities of curcuminoids from Curcuma longa, curcumin (CCN), demethoxycurcumin (DMCCN), and bisdemethoxycurcumin (BDMCCN) against AD fly models. Neuro-protective ability of curcuminoids was assessed using fly model system overexpressing BACE-1 and its substrate APP in compound eyes and entire neurons. BDMCCN has the strongest inhibitory activity toward BACE-1 with 17 μM IC50, which was 20 and 13 times lower than those of CCN and DMCCN respectively. Expression of APP/BACE-1 resulted in the progressive and measurable defects in morphology of eyes and locomotion. Supplementing diet with either 1 mM BDMCCN or CCN rescued APP/BACE1 expressing flies and kept them from developing both morphological and behavioral defects. Structural characteristics and hydrophobicity appear to play a role in determining inhibitory potency of curcuminoids on BACE-1.
