<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Diphenylsilane-derived high triplet energy host materials were developed by coupling diphenylsilane with CN-modified carbazoles. Two host materials with two CN-modified carbazoles or one CN-modified carbazole were synthesized, and their photophysical and device behavior were investigated. The host materials delivered a high triplet energy over 3.00 eV, a high glass transition temperature over 130 °C, ambipolar charge transport, and high external quantum efficiency over 20% as hosts of deep blue-emitting Ir emitters.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> High triplet energy hosts for deep blue phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes. </LI> <LI> Diphenylsilane and CN modified carbazole derived hosts for ambipolar charge transport. </LI> <LI> High external quantum efficiency over 20% in the deep blue phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

<P>Two trisdibenzofuran-derived compounds, 4,2′:8′,4′′-terdibenzo[<I>b</I>,<I>d</I>]furan (TDBF) and [4,2′:8′,4′′-terdibenzo[<I>b</I>,<I>d</I>]furan]-6,6′′-dicarbonitrile (CNTDBF), were developed and investigated as electron transport type exciton blocking materials of blue phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes (PhOLEDs). TDBF was a trisdibenzofuran-type material without any substituent, and CNTDBF was a CN-modified trisdibenzofuran type material. The introduction of the trisdibenzofuran core provided a high triplet energy of more than 2.78 eV for use as an exciton blocking material in blue PhOLEDs, and the additional CN modification of the trisdibenzofuran moiety was effective for improved electron injection, electron transport and thermal stability and extension of the driving lifetime of the blue PhOLEDs. Among the two materials, CNTDBF provided a low driving voltage, a high quantum efficiency, a low efficiency roll-off and an extended lifetime.</P>

본 연구는 간호대학생의 감성지능, 대인관계능력 및 임상실습스트레스 정도를 확인하고 임상실습스트레스에 미치는 영향요인을 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 본 연구는 2015년 8월 27일부터 9월 17일까지 경기도 A대학과 충청도 B대학교 간호 학과 4학년 재학생 192명을 대상으로 진행하였다. 일반적 특성, 감성지능, 대인관계 능력, 임상실습스트레스척도를 사용하여 측정하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0을 이용하여 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s Correlation 및, Multiple Regression analysis로 분석하였다. 대상자의 일반적 특성에 따른 임상실습스트레스의 차이를 확인한 결과 종교, 간호학전공만족도, 임상실습만족도, 임상실습시간의 만족도에 따라 임상실습스트레스 수준에 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 임상실습스트레스와 감성지능 및 대인관계능력은 음의 상관관계를 보였다. 간호대학생의 임상실습스트레스에 가장 영향을 미치는 요인은 감성지능이었으며 추후 감성지능을 높이고 활용할 수 있도록 감성지능향상프로그램을 개발하여 적용함으로써 그 효과성을 검증할 수 있는 연구를 시도할 필요가 있다. This descriptive survey was aimed to identify the effects of nursing students’ emotional intelligence and interpersonal relationship ability on their stress on clinical practice. Anonymous paper-based surveys were conducted for a convenience sample of 192 fourth-year nursing students from A University in Gyeonggi-do and B University in Chungcheong-do from September 17th to August 27th, 2015. Subjects completed a questionnaire including demographic characteristics, Emotional Intelligence Scale, Relationship Change Scale, and Clinical Practice Stress Scale. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson’s Correlation, and Multiple Regression. The overall mean score of the stress on clinical practice was 3.41 out of 5. Levels of stress on clinical practice differed by religion, satisfaction in the nursing major, satisfaction in clinical practice, and length of clinical practice experience. Stress on clinical practice was negatively correlated with emotional intelligence and interrelationship ability. The strongest factor affecting the levels of stress on clinical practice was emotional intelligence. Approaches that focus on enhancing emotional intelligence may reduce the stress on clinical practice among nursing students.

목적: Although the Papanicolaou smear (Pap smear) and HPV DNA testing have greatly reduced the mortality and morbidity for patients with invasive cervical cancer, low sensitivity and specificity of Pap smear and HPV DNA typing, respectively, still make a need to develop other biomarkers for cervical cancer screening. DNA methylation has been spotlighted as a potential biomarker for the early diagnosis of cancers and also as a means of assessing the prognosis for patients with cancers. Here, this study was aimed at investigating the single-minded homolog 1 (SIM1) promoter methylation and its clinical relevance in cervical cancer. 방법: Using real-time quantitative methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction (PCR) (qMSP), we analyzed the frequency and relative level of promoter methylation of SIM1 gene in 45 cervical cancer tissues and 10 normal controls. The percentage of methylated references (PMR) was used for analysis of SIM1 methylation using reference gene, ACTB. 결과: A much higher level of aberrant SIM1 methylation was measured in most cervical cancers (42/45, 93.3%), compared with normal control (0/10, 0%), and PMR values for SIM1 have ranges of 0-100 (median PMR 80.9) and 0-3.3 (median PMR 0) in tumor tissues and controls, respectively (cutoff >7.03, P < 0.0001). Aberrant SIM1 methylation showed no statistically significant difference between stage I and II, but a trend of stage-dependent increase in SIM1 hypermethylation was show. To see whether aberrant SIM1 methylation in tumor was from germline methylation of SIM1 gene, we investigated SIM1 methylation in patient-derived peripheral blood leucocytes (PBL). Among nineteen PBL, only two have very low SIM1 methylation and PMR values of SIM1 in PBL have ranges 0-6.26 (median PMR 0, >7.03 cutoff), indicating that SIM1 methylation in tumor tissues might be somatic methylation during carcinogenesis. 결론: Taken together, our data suggest that aberrant SIM1 methylation may be a promising biomarker for early diagnosis of cervical cancers.

Symmetric lipomatosis of the tongue (SLT) characterizes the symmetric and nonencapsulated lipomas infiltrating muscle fibers. It is an extremely rare condition and considered as different disease from multiple symmetric lipomatosis in affected age, body region, and ethnic group and in the relevance to alcoholism. We report a case of a 56-year-old man presenting multiple symmetric yellowish nodules on both lateral borders of the tongue. There was no pain or discomfort on the tongue. He was a chronic alcoholic and afflicted with pellagra, hypertension, diabetes, and anemia. The histologic examination of the lesion showed mature adipose tissue infiltrating lingual muscles consistent with SLE. He did not want the surgical resection of the lesions. Therefore, lipomas were treated by four times of intralesional injection of triamcinolone (8mg/cc). However, there was no significant change in the size of the lipomas. Herein, we report a rare case of SLT comorbid with pellagra.
A case of granular cell tumor on the tongue

Granular cell tumors (GCTs) are rare and mostly benign neoplasms. They are commonly seen in the skin, tongue, breasts, and larynx. Histogenesis of GCT is uncertain, but they are reported to be neural crest origin. A 65-year-old woman presented with an asymptomatic and well-demarcated skin-colored mass on tongue. About 10 years ago, the mass developed and has gradually grown. Physical examination showed the presence of a non-tender, firm, 1 X 1cm sized dome shaped nodule. Histopathologic examination revealed an ill-defined dermal nodule composed of large cells with abundant eosinophilic granular cytoplasm. The overlying squamous epithelium showedpseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia. Immunohistochemical stain revealed positivity for S-100 protein. Based on these findings, we diagnosed this neoplasm as GCT on the tongue.
