<P>A normally off GaN MOSFET was proposed by utilizing an extremely high 2-D electron-gas density (> 10<SUP>14</SUP> / cm<SUP>2</SUP>) at an AlGaN/GaN heterostructure as source and drain, which can be obtained by controlling the tensile stress accompanied with the growth of GaN on silicon substrate. The fabricated MOSFET with an Al<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> gate insulator exhibited excellent device performance, such as a threshold voltage of 2 V, drain current of 353 mA/mm, extrinsic transconductance of 98 mS/mm, and field-effect mobility of 225 cm<SUP>2</SUP>/V·s.</P>

<P>As a part of an ongoing search for bioactive constituents from Korean medicinal plants, the phytochemical investigations of the twigs of <I>Salix glandulosa</I> afforded 12 new phenolic glycosides (<B>1</B>–<B>12</B>) and a known analogue (<B>13</B>). The structures of <B>1</B>–<B>13</B> were characterized by a combination of NMR methods (<SUP>1</SUP>H and <SUP>13</SUP>C NMR, <SUP>1</SUP>H–<SUP>1</SUP>H COSY, HMQC, and HMBC), chemical hydrolysis, and GC/MS. The absolute configuration of <B>13</B> [(1<I>R</I>,2<I>S</I>)-2-hydroxycyclohexyl-2′-<I>O</I>-<I>trans</I>-<I>p</I>-coumaroyl-β-<SMALL>d</SMALL>-glucopyranoside] was determined for the first time. 건물일체형 신재생에너지 시스템의 평가를 위한 Mock-up 시설 계획설계에 관한 연구

Worldwide, the roadmap for saving building energy has been proposed. According to this tendency, research institutes of Korea are on process. In addition, applying renewable energy systems to improve the energy efficiency of buildings is urgently needed for the research. Therefore, a mock-up for renewable energy systems was built on the top floor of Architectural Engineering, Hanbat National University, Daejeon. This study proposes the integrative design process from planning for the performance of systems applied could be maximization. The form of this mock-up facility has cube shape and each face is devided as grid type. Because the BIPV system has unusual color as outer cover, the color design is considered. BIPV system has been applied 4 side as slope of 30 degree on south, horizontal, vertical south and vertical west side of facility with 2.1kW capacity. The color of window is considered for outer harmony, complementary color is applied. In case of BIST system, producted as window type and installed as first case of domestic. 9 collectors are installed in South side. In addition, to reduce the building's lighting load, dimming control sensor that works automatically with external condition and fuselage senser is installed to make the lighting load minimize. This mock-up facility is working on variety of performance assessments to applying renewable systems on the demonstration building. The evaluation of environmental performance is planned.
가상대학을 위한 얼굴인식에 기반한 수강자 인증시스템의 설계 및 구현

최근 네트워크의 발전과 인터넷을 통한 가상대학의 급속한 활성화는 상대방을 확인 및 검증할 수 있는 다양한 인식기술을 요구하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하는 방안으로 얼굴인식 기술에 기반한 가상대학 수강자 인식시스템을 설계 및 구현한다. 구현된 시스템에서는 얼굴영역 검출을 위하여 얼굴 구성의 사전지식을 이용한 평균 얼굴컬러 분포도 구성에 의한 검출방법과 고유특징을 추출하기 위하여 얼굴 구성요소의 평균 히스토그램 분포도 구성에 의한 추출 방법을 제시한다. 그리고 실험에 의하여 제안된 시스템이 실시간 계산을 요구하는 시스템에 적절하며 가상대학 적용에 효율적임을 보인다.
유한요소 해석을 통한 CTBA Trailing Arm의 용접부 잔류응력 평가 및 용접 공정 최적화

Residual stress that occurs during welding is also a negative impact on the stability by lowering the durability of the vehicle. In addition, deformation due to the heat generated at this time causes a problem in the assembly of the vehicle body. In order to minimize deformation and residual stress caused by welding, it may be change the welding sequence, or using further processing (such as pinning). But adding process (such as pinning) after the welding process is not suitable for mass production because the budget and the total process time increasing. Therefore, in the study, it was studied on the residual stress of the product (Rear CTBA trailing Arm) to prevent excessive deformation and reduced durability. We have also studied the deformation and residual stresses of products to a minimum for optimal welding procedures. As a result, welding deformation was occurred the maximum deformation about 3.85 mm at the ends of the beam and residual stress was occurred greater than 500 MPa in the heat affected zone. It is also found that the overhead welding process is the optimum welding process.
Si을 기판으로한 P₂O5 - SiO₂ 광도파로의 제작 및 손실측정

저압화학기상증착법으로 Si 기판에 P₂O_5-SiO₂ 광도파박막계를 제작하였다. 제작된 박막의 광도파손실율은 1.65㏈/㎝이었으나 1100℃에서 열처리한 뒤에는 0.1㏈/㎝ 이하로 크게 감소하였다. 레이저 노광법과 활성이온식각법으로 광도파로를 제작하여 1100℃에서 열처리하였다. 열처리 결과 도파로 코어의 모양은 사각형에서 반원형으로 바뀌었으며, 0.6328 ㎛에서 0.03㏈/㎝ 그리고 1.53 ㎛에서 0.04㏈/㎝의 낮은 도파손실율을 나타내었다. 도파로의 도파손실율이 감소하는 이유로는 고온 열처리과정에서, 첫째 박막조직과 결합하여 광흡수를 일으키는 수소가 확산 방출되고, 둘째 광산란을 일으키는 도파로의 거친 계면 및 박막조직이 재형성되며, 셋째 식각법으로 도파로를 만들때 생기는 도파로 코어의 거친 계면이 매끄럽게되어 도파광의 산란손실이 줄어들기 때문으로 생각된다. A low loss optical waveguide of P₂O_5-SiO₂ on Si substrate is produced by using the chemical vapour deposition method of SiO₂ thin films used in Si technology. Propagation loss of the waveguide layer was 1.65 ㏈/㎝ as produced and reduced down to 0.1 ㏈/㎝ after heat treatment at 1100℃. By using laser lithography and reactive ion etching method P₂O_5-SiO₂ waveguide was produced and subsequently annealed at 1100℃. As a result of this annealing the shape of the waveguide core was changed from rectangular to semi-circular form, and the propagation loss was reduced as down to 0.03 ㏈/㎝ at 0.6328 ㎛ and 0.04 ㏈/㎝ at 1.53 ㎛. We think that the mechanism of the reduction in propagation loss during the heat treatment is. the following: 1) The hydrogen bonding in waveguide layer, which causes absorption loss, is dissociated and diffused out. 2) The roughness of the interface and the micro-structure of the waveguide layer is removed. 3) The irregularities in the cross-sectional shape of the waveguide which was induced during the lithographic process were disappeared by flowing of the waveguide core.

Hardware in the loop (HIL) simulation has become increasingly popular in recent years, because of its ability to shorten product development time for complex dynamic systems through quick and cost efficient testing over a wide range of conditions. HILS is a technique where machine control software runs virtual machines, which are mathematical models emulating the physical machines. This paper introduces the research on development of control system for offshore drilling equipment and HIL as a methodology for drilling control system software testing.
