        국내 뿌리산업 현황분석 (2009 ~ 2018)

        주조산업을 포함한 6대 뿌리산업의 지난 10년간 현황을 통계 조사를 통해 파악하고 6대 산업별로 분석하였다. 한국 표준 산업분류에 의해 정의된 뿌리산업의 각종 통계를 획득하였고, 3만개 이상의 대상 사업군에 대한 모집단을 기준으로 5천개 사의 표본조사를 거쳐 뿌리산업의 현황을 파악하였다. 이러한 과정을 통하여 뿌리기업 수, 지역별 분포, 종사자 수, 연령대별 특징, 매출액, 수익률 등 다양한 지표를 제시하였다. 한국, 독일, 일본 등 3개국의 뿌리산업 경쟁력을 비교하기 위해 뿌리산업 경쟁력 지수를 고안하고, 10여년간 각국의 경쟁력을 평가하였다. 이러한 경쟁력 지수는 향후 뿌리산업 발전을 위한 다양한 활동에 효과적이고 의미 있는 지수로 활용될 수 있다. 본 연구 과정을 통해 획득한 데이터를 가지고 뿌리산업 업종별 현황, 지역별 분포 현황, 종사자 현황, 매출액 및 수익률 현황을 정리하였고, 각 부문에 대한 전략 도출과 정책적 지원, 업계의 자발적 대응 등을 위한 제언을 제시하였다. The status of Ppuri industry, including foundry industry was analyzed through statistical surveys over the past 10 years from 2009 to 2018, and summarized for each six Ppuri industries’ points of view. Various statistics of Ppuri industry defined by the KSIC (Korean Standard Industry Classification) was obtained, and the status of Ppuri industry was identified through a sample survey of 5,000 companies from more than 30,000 target business companies of Ppuri industry. Throughout the analyzing process, we presented a variety of indicators, such as the number of the Ppuri companies and its ratio, regional distribution through Korean provinces, number of workers, characteristics by age group, sales, profit rates, etc. By devising a comparative method to measure the relative strength of Ppuri industry in Korea, Germany, and Japan, we have presented the competitiveness index change over the 10 years of time. The competitiveness index can be effectively and meaningfully used during various activities of the development of Ppuri industry in the forth coming future. With the current obtained data, we figured out the status of each 6 Ppuri industries, regional distribution, status of workers, sales and profit rates. We also suggested various proposals for strategy and policy making for each sector with urging voluntary response from Ppuri industry.

      • Understanding photocatalytic coupled-dye degradation, and photoelectrocatalytic water splitting and CO<sub>2</sub> reduction over WO<sub>3</sub>/MoO<sub>3</sub> hybrid nanostructures

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>WO<SUB>3</SUB>/MoO<SUB>3</SUB> hybrid nanostructures were first prepared by a two-step hydrothermal method and applied to photocatalytic coupled-dye degradation, photoelectrocatalytic water splitting and CO<SUB>2</SUB> reduction. Methyl orange (MO), rhodamine B (RhB) and methylene blue (MB) were used to examine dye coupling effect for photodegradation. Poorly photodegraded MO was found to be easily removed by coupling with MB. W-rich oxide material was found to be efficient for removal of MO and MB while Mo-rich material was more efficient for RhB.         Relationship between job stress and impaired fasting glucose in male steel industry workers: a cross-sectional study

        Background: The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between job stress and impaired fasting glycemia (IFG) of male workers in a manufacturing industry. Methods: Data were collected from 5,886 male workers in a manufacturing industry who participated in the medical examination from June 19 to August 14, 2020 through self-reported questionnaires. The general characteristics of the subjects, shift work, high blood pressure, dyslipidemia, and job stress were included. Job stress was measured using the Korean Occupational Stress Scale (KOSS) consisting of 8 items and 43 questions. Multivariable logistic regression analysis was used to investigate the IFG association with job stress. Results: Among the various factors that can cause job stress, only high job demand was associated with a risk of IFG (odds ratio, 1.43; 95% confidence interval, 1.13–1.82) especially in non-shift worker. For all other factors, no statistically significant results were obtained. Conclusions: In this study of male workers engaged in the Korean steel manufacturing industry, the 'job demand' item among job stress of non-shift worker was related to IFG.

        온라인 영어 독서프로그램의 참여도에 영향을 미치는 요인의 구조적 관계 연구

        With the spread of COVID-19, elementary education had to shift from traditional face-to-face education to online education. In a situation such as this, an English reading program could be one way to teach English effectively. The purpose of this study is to analyze relationships among self-determination motivation to learn, English self-efficacy, media-efficacy, self-directed learning ability, and learners’ participation rate in online English reading program. The survey participants were 154 elementary students who have taken part in an online English reading program for more than two years. The gathered data were analyzed by using the Structural Equation Model. The results of the analysis indicated that first, self-determination motivation to learn and English self-efficacy had significant effects on self-directed learning. Second, self-determined motivation to learn, English self-efficacy and media-efficacy showed a significant effect on leaners’ participation of English reading program, while self-directed learning ability did not. Third, self-directed learning ability had no mediation effects on the path between self-determined motivation to learn, English self-efficacy, media-efficacy and learners’ participation. Based on the result of the research, the study suggests that, to improve leaners’ participation of online English reading program, the basic factors which improve students’ motivation and English self-efficacy need to take precedence over the others.

        국내 주조산업 현황조사

        세계 주조산업의 현황 분석을 바탕으로 최근 20년간의 한국 주조산업의 국제경쟁력을 살펴보았다. 한국 주물 총 생산량은 252만톤, 1업체당 생산량인 주물 생산성은 2,831톤으로 모두 세계 8위이고, 3년 전에 비해 총 생산량은 한 순위 내려간 상황이고, 주물생산성은 순위를 유지하고 있다. 한국은 10대 주물강국 중 유일하게 생산량이 감소한 국가로 분석된다. 세계 상황과 비슷하게 한국의 주물제품은 회주철 38%, 구상흑연주철 31%, 알루미늄 15%, 주강 9%로 구성된다. 본 조사에서는 한국의 주조산업 통계를 얻기 위해 2020년 4월부터 약 9개월간의 용역사업을 실시하였다. 한국 표준 산업분류에 의해 각종 통계조사와 표본 심층조사를 통하여 국내 주조산업의 다양한 내용을 평가하였다. 각 기업체의 수와 지역별 분포, 종사자 수와 외국인 비율, 각 직능별 분포도 확인하였고, 기업 규모에 따른 R&D 투자현황도 살펴보았다. 그와 함께 주조산업의 버는 힘을 측정하기 위해 매출액, 수출액, 영업 및 순수익률 등을 분석하였다. 또한 각 기업에서 중점적으로 활용하는 공정에 따라 주조산업을 세분하여 분류하고, 각 공정별 매출, 수출, 수익률 현황도 파악하여, 활용 공정별 현황도 기초 조사하였다. 이러한 자료를 바탕으로 국내주조산업이 지속성장하기 위한 다음과 같은 분야에 대해 다양한 제언을 제시하였다; 세계 순위, 한계 기업 구조조정, 국내 기술인력 양성, 기업규모별, 공정별 차별화된 지원정책. Based on the analysis of the current state of the world's foundry industry, we looked at the international competitiveness of Korea's foundry industry for the past 20 years. Korea's total foundry production is 2.52 million tons, and the production per company (so-called productivity) is 2,831 tons, which is the eighth largest in the world and down one position for the case of total foundry production, while productivity remains its position compared to three years ago. Korea is the only one of the top 10 foundry to see a decline in production. Similar to the global situation, Korean products consist of 38% of grey csat iron, 31% of ductile cast iron, 15% of aluminum, and 9% of cast steel. In order to obtain statistics on Korea's foundry industry, the survey conducted a service project for approximately nine months from April 2020. Various statistical surveys and sample in-depth surveys by the Korean standard industry class were evaluated for various contents of the domestic casting industry. We also looked at the number of companies, the distribution by region, the number of workers and the percentage of foreigners, and the distribution of each job, as well as the R&D investment status according to the size of the enterprise. Together, sales, exports, sales and various profit ratios were analyzed to measure the earning power of foundry industry. In addition, the classification by grouping the foundry industry according to the process utilized by focusing on each company, and to determine the sales, exports, and yield status for each process was also investigated on the basis. Based on these data, the domestic foundry industry has presented a variety of offers for the following issues for sustainable growth; global ranking, marginal corporate restructuring, training of domestic technical people, differentiated support policies by company size and process.

        Development and Validation of a Deep Learning System for Segmentation of Abdominal Muscle and Fat on Computed Tomography

        Objective: We aimed to develop and validate a deep learning system for fully automated segmentation of abdominal muscle and fat areas on computed tomography (CT) images. Materials and Methods: A fully convolutional network-based segmentation system was developed using a training dataset of 883 CT scans from 467 subjects. Axial CT images obtained at the inferior endplate level of the 3rd lumbar vertebra were used for the analysis. Manually drawn segmentation maps of the skeletal muscle, visceral fat, and subcutaneous fat were created to serve as ground truth data. The performance of the fully convolutional network-based segmentation system was evaluated using the Dice similarity coefficient and cross-sectional area error, for both a separate internal validation dataset (426 CT scans from 308 subjects) and an external validation dataset (171 CT scans from 171 subjects from two outside hospitals). Results: The mean Dice similarity coefficients for muscle, subcutaneous fat, and visceral fat were high for both the internal (0.96, 0.97, and 0.97, respectively) and external (0.97, 0.97, and 0.97, respectively) validation datasets, while the mean cross-sectional area errors for muscle, subcutaneous fat, and visceral fat were low for both internal (2.1%, 3.8%, and 1.8%, respectively) and external (2.7%, 4.6%, and 2.3%, respectively) validation datasets. Conclusion: The fully convolutional network-based segmentation system exhibited high performance and accuracy in the automatic segmentation of abdominal muscle and fat on CT images.
