      • Jointed Energy Saving and Cluster Route in the Mobile Ad-HOC Network

        The LNCR-IDS for the mobile Ad-HOC network is put forward for the problem that the redundancy clusters are adverse to energy saving because leaf node independent clusters exist in the CHS and cluster partition in the traditional mobile Ad-Hoc network containing IDS. Firstly, make analysis on the traditional random cluster partition method and find that the method easily results in the problem of redundancy partition, put forward the new method which carries out cluster partition starting from the leaf node, try to solve the problem of redundancy of cluster partition, so as to lower the energy consumption; secondly, make analysis on the realization of algorithm, construct the algorithm of single node elimination and give the process of cluster partition via simple analysis example in allusion to the proposed method; finally, carry out simulation comparison with the existed algorithm via the experimental platform created, the proposed algorithm should be about 30% less than the comparing algorithm in the number of clusters, which is beneficial to the improvement of network service life.

        Simultaneous Identification of structures and unknown seismic excitations for chain-like systems with unknown mass using partial absolute responses

        It is necessary to identify structures with unknown mass and unknown seismic excitations simultaneously, but very limited methods have been proposed. In this paper, an algorithm is proposed to identify structural element mass, stiffness, and seismic excitations using only partial absolute structural responses of chain-like systems. In the first stage, the identification of structural element stiffness-mass coupled coefficients and unknown seismic excitations is conducted based on the generalized extended Kalman filter with unknown input (GEKF-UI) developed by the authors. In the second stage, these coupled coefficients are decoupled by cluster analysis and the least squares estimation (LSE) to obtain structural element stiffness and mass changes. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is numerically investigated using a four-story frame structure under three scenarios of changed conditions. Moreover, experimental validation by the shaking table test of a shear structure under two scenarios is also performed to identify structures and seismic excitations simultaneously.

        Simulation of nonstationary wind in one-spatial dimension with time-varying coherence by wavenumber-frequency spectrum and application to transmission line

        Practical non-synoptic fluctuating wind often exhibits nonstationary features and should be modeled as nonstationary random processes. Generally, the coherence function of the fluctuating wind field has time-varying characteristics. Some studies have shown that there is a big difference between the fluctuating wind field of the coherent function model with and without time variability. Therefore, it is of significance to simulate nonstationary fluctuating wind field with time-varying coherent function. However, current studies on the numerical simulation of nonstationary fluctuating wind field with time-varying coherence are very limited, and the proposed approaches are usually based on the traditional spectral representation method with low simulation efficiency. Especially, for the simulation of multi-variable wind field of large span structures such as transmission tower-line, not only the simulation is inefficient but also the matrix decomposition may have singularity problem. In this paper, it is proposed to conduct the numerical simulation of nonstationary fluctuating wind field in one-spatial dimension with time-varying coherence based on the wavenumber-frequency spectrum. The simulated multivariable nonstationary wind field with time-varying coherence is transformed into one-dimensional nonstationary random waves in the simulated spatial domain, and the simulation by wavenumber frequency spectrum is derived. So, the proposed simulation method can avoid the complicated Cholesky decomposition. Then, the proper orthogonal decomposition is employed to decompose the time-space dependent evolutionary power spectral density and the Fourier transform of time-varying coherent function, simultaneously, so that the two-dimensional Fast Fourier transform can be applied to further improve the simulation efficiency. Finally, the proposed method is applied to simulate the longitudinal nonstationary fluctuating wind velocity field along the transmission line to illustrate its performances.

        Low METTL3 level in midgut of the Bombyx mori inhibit the proliferation of nucleopolyhedrovirus

        N6-methyladeosine (m 6 A) plays an important role in virus infection and replication. Bombyx mori nuclear polyhedrosis is caused by Bombyx mori nucleopolyhedrovirus (BmNPV) infection. Expression levels of m 6 Amodification-related genes after the infection of BmNPV were detected at first. Then, expression levels of BmNPV nucleocapsid protein gene VP39 and envelope fusion protein gene GP64 after knockdown of METTL3in vitro were quantified to identify the effect of m 6 A modification on BmNPV. BmNPV firstly infects the larval midgut in case of oral infection. Subsequently, to clarify the relationship between m 6 A modification and resistance of the silkworm to BmNPV, we detected the expression levels of m 6 A-modification-related genes invivo before and after infection of BmNPV. The results indicated that low METTL3 level hindered the proliferation of BmNPV to some extent, and silkworm strain with low METTL3 level showed stronger resistance against BmNPV. This study will accumulate new experimental data for elucidating the resistance mechanism of silkworm against BmNPV.

        Electrophysiological and behavioral responses of Asian and European honeybees to pear flower volatiles

        Honeybee pollination behavior is influenced by flower volatiles, which honeybees sense via olfactory receptors. Honeybees are only weakly attracted to pear flowers. To investigate the potential reasons, we extracted and determined the floral volatile compounds from three pear cultivars (Su, Ya, and Xuehua) using headspace solidphase micro-extraction (HS-SPME) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC–MS). The effects of pear flower volatiles on the Asian honeybee (Apis cerana cerana Fabricius) and the European honeybee (Apis mellifera ligustica Spinola) were determined by electroantennogram (EAG) assays and behavioral tests in a three-arm olfactometer. Among the 76 flower volatiles detected with GC–MS, 21 were found in all three pear cultivars, accounting for approximately 70% of the total volatile content. 3-Methyl-1-butanol and (+)-limonene volatiles had the highest relative content. Five compounds elicited strong EAG responses in both bee species: 2-methylbu tyraldehyde, 1-nonanal, 6-methyl-5-hepten-2-one, 3-methyl-1-butanol, and (+)-limonene. Neither bee species showed positive taxis to these volatiles. In behavioral tests, A. mellifera ligustica showed a low preference for 6-methyl-5-hepten-2-one (20%, 400 µg/µL) and 2-phenethyl alcohol (16.7%, 400 µg/µL). Apis cerana cerana showed a low preference for 6-methyl-5-hepten-2-one (6.7%, 400 µg/µL) and 1-nonanal (10%, 400 µg/µL), whereas its preferences for 3-methyl-1-butanol (43.3%, 400 µg/µL) and α-farnesene (40%, 400 µg/µL) were similar to that for the control. Therefore, a lack of attractive volatile compounds could explain why honeybees are only weakly attracted to pear flowers. Therefore, to achieve acceptable pollination in pear orchards, we suggest using flower-scent sugar syrup feeding and a saturation pollination strategy.

        Characterization and profiling of MicroRNAs in posterior silk gland of the silkworm (Bombyx mori)

        MicroRNAs (miRNAs) regulate expression of genes at post-transcriptional level by binding on complementary sequences of target mRNAs and play multiple roles in biological processes. To investigate the differential expression of miRNAs in posterior silk gland (PSG) of silkworm (Bombyx mori) in different periods and regulation of miRNAs on the expression of fibroin genes, Solexa sequencing technology was used to detect miRNAs in PSGs of fourth-instar day-2 larvae and fifth-instar day-3 larvae, respectively. As a result, 466 previously reported miRNAs, and 35 novel miRNAs were detected, and 499 of these detected miRNAs are predicted to target 13,383 genes by target prediction softwares. Additionally, 29 miRNAs expressed differently between the PSG of fourthinstar day-2 larvae and fifth-instar day-3 larvae were found, and the differential expression of these miRNAs may play an important role in the expression of fibroin genes.
