This study aims to explore English divide phenomenon perceived by employees working in a multinational company in Korea. The research questions addressed for the study were: (1) In what ways, do employees perceive English divide at work? (2) In what aspects does English divide have influence on their lives at work? (3) What are the difference in psychological attitudes at work between the English rich and the English poor? (4) Are there any ways to reduce the English divide at work? Thirty employees with diverse backgrounds-gender, age, work status-participated in the study. In-depth interviews were recorded, coded, and analyzed qualitatively. The participants seem to perceive English divide, at work, particularly, when they are communicating in English and when they are performing tasks at work or receiving performance feedback. Employees indicated that performance feedback, work performance, psychological attitudes are all influenced by English divide. Performance feedback had the biggest influence because English divide plays an important role in getting more opportunities for career-developing work, for additional education, for promotion, and for employment. In addition, it plays a role in receiving better salary and positive performance evaluation. The implication of the study is discussed based on the results.
