      • IGCC용 고온건식 탈화제의 반응속도 모사에 관한 연구

        고온건식 탈황공정에서 탈황제의 황화, 재생 반응은 비촉매 기고 반응이다. 이러한 비촉매 기고 반응의 수학적 모사는 실험데이터의 설명, 공정의 설계 그리고 scale-up에 있어서 매우 중요한 정보가 된다. 탈황제의 황화, 재생 반응에는 spray dryer로 제조된 zinc titanate 탈황제를 사용하였고, 변형된 미반응핵 모델식에 적용하여 각 반응의 반응속도를 해석한 결과 탈황제의 황화반응에는 화학반응 저항과 고체 상태의 확산 저항이 회합하여 전체반응속도를 지배하며, 이때 반응속도상수는 367.67cm/min 이었고 고체상태의 확산계수는 29.66cm²/min이었다. 또한 재생반응시에 는 화학반응 저항만이 전체반응의 저항으로 관여하며, 이때의 반응속도상수는 3.45x10e cm/min이었다. In the dry-type high temprature gas desulfurization process, sulfidation and regeneration reactions of desulfrrization sorbents are noncatalytic gas-solid reactions. The mathematical modeling of noncatalytic gas-solid reactions is improtant in order to interpret laboratory data and in design and scale-up. Zinc titanate sorbent to manufacture by spray dryer is used in sulfidation and regeneration reactions of desulfuization sorbents. The result which analyzes reaction rate of sulfidation reaction by applying each reactions to modified unreacted core model is that the global reaction rate is controlled by associating with chemical reaction resistance and solid state diffusion resistance. In this case,reaction rate constant is367.67e cm/min and solid state diffusion coefficient is 29.66e cm²/min Also gloval reaction rate of regeneration reaction is controlled only by chemical reaction resistance. In this case, reaction rate constant is 3.45x10e cm/min.

        AISI1045 기계구조용 탄소강의 질화 가스분위기에 따른 화합물층의 형성 및 조직변화

        Compound layers developed at 520 ℃ during gaseous nitriding of AISI 1045 steels were investigated. The nitriding potential (Kn) of a gas atmosphere of dissociating ammonia gas was checked by observation of the partial pressure of hydrogen gas. The microstructural evolution of the compound layer was studied by using optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. It was observed that the surface hardness was about 600 Hv after the nitriding treatment and the case depth was about 0.5mm after a nitriding treatment of 1440 min. The compound layer was composed of  ′(Fe4N) and ε(Fe2-3N). The thickness of the compound layer was simultaneously increased to 16 μm during the nitriding treatment of 1440 min. The kinetics of the compound layer growth were discussed with a modified Lehrer diagram of AISI 1045 steels, which was obtained from the thermodynamic calculation. †(Received January 15, 2016; Accepted March 2, 2016)

        2012년 한국백내장굴절수술학회 및 대한안과학회 회원 설문 조사

        목적: 국내 백내장 수술의 최근 경향과 그간의 변화를 알아보기 위해 1995년 이래 열여섯 번째로 설문 조사를 시행하였다. 대상과 방법: 한국 백내장굴절수술학회 회원 및 안과학회 회원 301명을 대상으로 총 108 문항의 제16차 설문 조사를 2013년 7월 실시하여 20.6%의 응답률을 얻었고, 2006년, 2009년에 시행된 기존 설문 조사와 비교하였다. 결과: 응답자의 연령은 30대가 46%로 가장 많았고 40대 43%, 50대가 10%였다. 백내장 수술의 입원 기간은 점점 감소하여 당일 퇴원이 보편화되었다. 마취방법은 점안마취가 69%로 가장 많은 비율을 차지하였고, 절개창의 무봉합법은 72%에서 시행되었다. 백내장 수술 시 사용하는 인공수정체의 광학부 재질은 소수성 아크릴(acrylic)이 76%로 가장 많았으며 지속적인 증가 추세에 있었다. 유수정체용 인공수정체 삽입술은 41%의 회원이 시행 중이었으며, 노안 교정인공수정체, 난시교정 인공수정체 등 특수 인공수정체에 대한 관심은 예전과 비교하여 지속적인 증가 추세에 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이 외에도 백내장 수술 후의 난시 발생을 최소화하기 위해 난시 정도에 따라 다양한 방법들이 시도되고 있었다. 하지만 Femtosecond laser cataract surgery 등 새로운 백내장 수술 방법에 대한 관심은 예상외로 높지 않았고, 도입 여부를 묻는 질문에도 회의적인 의견이 대부분이었다. 결론: 이번 조사로 국내 백내장 수술의 최근 경향 및 변화를 알 수 있었다. Purpose: This study investigated the current trends and changes in the field of cataract surgery in Korea. Methods: The members of the Korean Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (KSCRS) and the members of the Korean Ophthalmological Society (KOS) participated in a survey on cataract surgery in 2012, the 16th survey, consisting of 108 multi-ple-choice questions, mailed in July 2013 to 301 KSCRS and KOS members. Sixty two (20.6%) members answered the questions. Current data were compared with previous surveys performed in 2006 and 2009. Results: Most of the respondents (46%) were in the fourth decade, 43% in the fifth decade and 10% in the sixth decade of life. The duration of hospital stay had decreased annually and the use of topical anesthesia (69%) was the most preferred. Self-seal-ing wound construction was the main wound closure technique in phacoemulsification (72%). The most preferred intraocular lens (IOL) for cataract surgery was hydrophobic acrylic (76%) which showed an increasing trend. The implantation of phakic IOL was performed by 41% of the respondents and interest in the value added IOLs such as presbyopia IOL and toric IOL had in-creased annually. In addition, to minimize astigmatism following cataract surgery, several methods were performed according to the degree of astigmatism. However, there was little interest in new cataract surgery techniques such as femtosecond laser and many respondents were skeptical whether to adopt the femtosecond laser cataract surgery system. Conclusions: This survey summarized current trends and changes in the field of cataract surgery in Korea.

        골전도성 삽입물을 이용한 안와골절 정복술

        목적: 흡수성 골전도성 안와 삽입물인 unsintered hydroxyapatite/poly L-lactide를 이용한 안와골절 정복술의 효과를 안와전산화단층촬영을 통한 안와용적 분석을 이용해 알아보고자 하였다. 대상과 방법: Unsintered hydroxyapatite/poly L-lactide를 이용한 안와골절 정복술 후 6개월 이상 추적관찰된 24명의 환자를 대상으로 후향적 의무기록 분석을 통해 임상소견, 합병증을 확인하였고, 수술 전, 수술 직후, 최종 경과 관찰 시 안와전산화단층촬영 영상을 The Eclipse Treatment Planning System (ver.13.0, Varian Medical System Inc., Palo Alto, CA, USA)을 이용하여 안와용적을 측정하였다. 결과: 수술 전 14명(58.3%)의 환자에서 복시 및 외안근 운동 장애가 있었으나 복시는 모든 환자에서 최종 경과 관찰 시, 안구운동장애는 수술 후 6개월째 모두 개선되었다. 수술 전 골절안의 평균 안와 용적은 23.62 ± 0.45 ㎤, 정상안은 21.95 ± 1.01 ㎤였고 (p=0.003), 수술 직후 골절안의 평균 안와 용적은 21.65 ± 0.91 ㎤, 정상안은 21.78 ± 0.83 ㎤였으며(p=0.542), 최종 경과 관찰 시 골절안의 평균 안와 용적은 21.84 ± 0.93 ㎤, 정상안은 21.81 ± 0.91 ㎤였다(p=0.889). 결론: 안와골절 정복술 시 흡수성 골전도성 기능을 가진 unsintered hydroxyapatite/poly L-lactide는 안와재건 효과가 우수함을 임상소견의 호전 및 안와용적분석을 통해 확인할 수 있었으며, 뚜렷한 합병증 없이 사용할 수 있는 삽입물이다. Purpose: To evaluate the effect of orbital wall reconstruction with absorbable osteoconductive unsintered hydroxyapatite/poly L-lactide by assessment of the orbital volume via orbital computed tomography. Methods: 24 patients who followed up at least 6 months after orbital wall reconstruction with unsintered hydroxyapatite/poly L-lactide were included. Retrospective clinical chart reviews for clinical manifestations and complications were performed, and orbital volume measurements were taken using the Eclipse Treatment Planning System (ver.13.0, Varian Medical System Inc., Palo Alto, CA, USA) through orbital computed tomography, which were taken before operation, right after operation, and at last follow up. Results: Fourteen patients (58.3%) showed diplopia and extraocular muscle movement limitation preoperatively. Diplopia was resolved at last follow up and extraocular muscle movement limitation was improved at postoperative 6 months for all cases. The mean volumes of the fractured orbit and the unaffected orbit before operation were 23.62 ± 0.45 ㎤ and 21.95 ± 1.01 ㎤, respectively (p = 0.003). The mean volumes of the fractured orbit and the unaffected orbit right after operation were 21.65 ± 0.91 ㎤ and 21.78 ± 0.83 ㎤, respectively (p = 0.542). The mean volumes of the fractured orbit and the unaffected orbit at last follow up were 21.84 ± 0.93 ㎤ and 21.81 ± 0.91 ㎤, respectively (p = 0.889). Conclusions: Absorbable osteoconductive unsintered hydroxyapatite/poly L-lactide was effective for clinical improvement and orbital volume assessment in cases of orbital wall reconstruction and it can be used safely without definite implant related complications.

      • 시계열 모델을 이용한 인센티브 기반 수요반응 프로그램 설계

        본 논문에서는 계통운영자 및 LA (Load Aggregator) 사업자가 수요반응 프로그램 상세 설계 시 필요한 수요반응 횟수와 수요반응Demand Response) 지속 시간 산정을 위한 알고리즘을 제시 하였다. 수요반응 프로그램 횟수와 지속 시간을 추정하기 위해 본 논문에서는 시계열 모델을 이용하여 최대 전력수요 예측을 진행하였고, 과거 부하지속곡선 (Load Duration Curve) 를 이용하여 수요반응 프로그램 설계 시 필요한 수요반응 횟수와 지속 시간을 추정하였다. 또한 제안된 방법을 국내 전력수요 데이터를 이용한 사례연구 수행 결과를 예시하였다.

        Collagen-Induced Arthritis Analysis in Rhbdf2 Knockout Mouse

        Rhomboid family member 2 gene (Rhbdf2) is an inactive homologue lacking essential catalytic residues of rhomboid intramembrane serine proteases. The protein is necessary for maturation of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) converting enzyme, which is the molecule responsible for the release of TNF-α. In this study, Rhbdf2 knockout (KO) mice were produced by CRISPR/CAS9. To see the effects of the failure of TNF-α release induced by Rhbdf2 gene KO, collagen-induced arthritis (CIA), which is the representative TNF-α related disease, was induced in the Rhbdf2 mutant mouse using chicken collagen type II. The severity of the CIA was measured by traditional clinical scores and histopathological analysis of hind limb joints. A rota-rod test and grip strength test were employed to evaluate the severity of CIA based on losses of physical functions. The results indicated that Rhbdf2 mutant mice showed clear alleviation of the clinical severity of CIA as demonstrated by the significantly lower severity indexes. Moreover, a grip strength test was shown to be useful for the evaluation of physical functional losses by CIA. Overall, the results showed that the Rhbdf2 gene has a significant effect on the induction of CIA, which is related to TNF-α.

      • 5 GHz Bow-tie-shaped Meander Slot Antenna

        In this paper, we propose a bow-tie-shaped meander slot antenna fed by a microstrip line to achieve compact size as well as wideband characteristic. While conventional bow-tie slot antennas exhibit wide band characteristic, they have relatively large. On the other hand, the meander slot antennas are very small, but they reveal quite narrow bandwidth (typically less than 1%). To realize miniaturized antennas having large bandwidth, combination of the bow-tie slot and the meander slot geometries is proposed in the paper. Theoretical results show that the proposed antenna with uniform slot width is 65.5% smaller than that of the conventional bow-tie antenna in size, while the bandwidth is 3 times larger than that of the meander slot antenna. Moreover, the non-uniform slot width antenna shows 60% smaller in size and about 3.5 times wider in bandwidth than the previous antennas. Measured antenna performance reveals excellent agreement with the predicted values.

        Industry and Consumers Awareness for Effective Management of Functional Animal-based Foods in South Korea

        In recent years, manufacturers of animal-based foods with health claims have encountered difficulties in the labeling of their products because of a lack of regulation on defining the functionality of animal-based foods. Therefore, this study was conducted to establish the basic requirements for the development of a definition for functional animal-based foods by investigating consumer and industry awareness. Survey data were collected from 114 industry representatives and 1,100 consumers. The questions of the survey included items on production status and future production plans, functionality labeling, promotion plans, establishment of definition, the role of the government, consumer perception, and selection of products. The results show that both industry representatives and consumers believe that legislation and the provision of scientific evidence should be improved for the development of a functional animal-based foods market. The results obtained from this study will contribute to consumer trust by supplying correct information and can be utilized in the industry as basic data for the development of functional animal-based food products.

        광대역 VLBI 관측 데이터 처리를 위한 기록시스템 구현 및 업그레이드

        In VLBI (very long baseline interferometer) record system, the maximum size of storage is 16TB, but, it is not sufficient for the KVN (Korean very long baseline interferometer network) to perform wideband observation research and upgrade other backend system to multi frequency. So, we have upgraded our record system,Mark5B and Mark5B+, to process extended data capacity and observation bandwidth, 24TB, 512MHzrespectively.
