        韓國産 날개응애類를 檢索하는 中에 4種의 新종, 1種의 新亞種, 1種의 韓國未記錄種을 記載하였다. 新種으로는 韓國팽이응애(Lohmannia coreana CHOI,n.so.), 띠무늬팽이응애(L.jav ana interrupta CHOI. n. ssp.), *崇산달걀응애(Liacarus kilchini CHOI.n.sp.), 아오끼지게응애(Incabates aokii CHOI,n.sp.). 속리산잔날개응애 (Diapterobates songliensis CHOI,n. sp.) 等이고, 韓國未記錄種은 두쌍턱수염뜬지게응애(Ceratoppia bipilis (HERMANN))이다. *崇山달걀응애(Liacarus kilchini CHOI)의 種名은 圓光大學校 總長 朴吉眞 博士의 古稀를 記念하기 위해 그의 이름을, 韓國名은 그의 法號(圓佛敎)을 따라 지은 것이다. In the course of classification of the oribatid mites from Korea some species were newly found there, 4 new species, 1 new subspecies and 1 species new to Korea. They were ; Lohmannia coreana n. sp., L. javana interrupta n. ssp., Liacarus kilchini n. sp., Incabates aokii n. sp., Diapterobates songliensis n. sp., and Ceratoppia bipilis (Hermann).

      • Current Status of the Manila Clam (Ruditapes philippinarum) Aquaculture and Perkinsus Disease in Korea

        The Manila clam (=short neck clam) Ruditapes philippinarum is one of the most important marine shellfish resources supporting Korean fisheries industry. Perkinsus sp, a protozoan parasite new to Korean water is considered to be one of the agent responsible for the recent decline in clam landing observed in Korea. The present study reports life cycle, diagnostic methods and temporal distribution of Perkinsus sp. in Korean water. Ray's RFTM and Choi's NaOH techniques were successfully applied in the examination of Perkinsus infection among the clams. Two to three days after incubation in FTM, hypnospores were enlarged up to 70㎛ and stained as dark blue in Rugol's iodine. Hypnospores incubated in aerated seawater discharged biflagellate zoospores two to three days after incubation at 25℃ Microscopic feature of trophozoites, and zoospores indicated that, Perkinsus sp found in Korea is very closely related to Perkinsus atlanticus found in the Mediterranean Sea. Infection intensity and prevalence of clams collected from twenty-two sampling sites along the west, south and east coasted revealed that almost all clams in the west and south coast infected with Perkinsus sp. while none of the clams in the east infected. It was believed that food level, temperature and salinity were deeply involved in spatial distribution of infection intensity and prevalence of Perkinsus sp.

        Korean Dative and Locative Cases:

        YoungSik, Choi. 2015. Korean Dative and Locative Cases: Postposition or Morphological Case Marker. Studies in Modern Grammar 83, 1-24. I propose that the dative and locative case particles are not postpositions but morphological case markers, quite in contrast to the common view in the literature (Yang 1972, Cho and Sells 1995, and Suh 2013 among many others). I will show the difference between the nominative and the accusative and the dative and the locative in case drop, case stacking, and case spreading is attributed to the fact that the dative case and the locative case are inherent case, as compared with the nominative and the accusative, which are structural case par excellence. The present proposal has a nontrivial implication regarding the other case particles typically argued as postpositions in Korean.

        이 글은 이육사의 시를 ‘예외상태’에 처한 호모 사케르, 곧 ‘벌거벗은 생명’의 개념과 의미를 빌려 해석하고자 한다. ‘예외상태’는 파시즘과 나치즘이 구체적 실례로 거론되는 것에서 보듯이 문민적 영역 속에 군사적 전시 권한이 확장되는 사태, 나아가 헌법의 효력이 정지되어 시민들을 권력의 자의적 처분에 따라 말살시킬 수 있는 폭력적 상황을 뜻한다. ‘벌거벗은 생명’은 그런 상황에서 ‘살해는 할 수 있으나 희생물로는 가치화될 수 없는 생명’을 뜻한다. 일제 천황이 지배하는 식민지 조선은 ‘예외상태’가 상시화된 공간이었으며, 특히 일제에 대한 비판과 저항에 종사하는 식민지인은 ‘호모 사케르’로 간주되어 마땅한 위험 분자들이었다. 본고는 이를 중심으로, 첫째, ‘한 개의 별’, 곧 새로운 지구의 건설을 염원하는 방랑자의 ‘노정’, 둘째, 실향과 탈향의 ‘고향’ 담론을 통한 살해의 회피, 그리고 동아시아의 현실 인식과 문학에의 의지를 새롭게 배우는 또 다른 고향으로서 중국, 문학운동의 모범으로서 루쉰의 영향과 수렴의 의미, 셋째, 이육사의 타자 지향성을 대표하는 ‘손님’과 ‘초인’의 발견과 호명, 그를 통한 ‘벌거벗은 생명’의 본원적 고향으로의 귀환과 도래의 의미, 궁극적인 사태로서 ‘살해’의 회피와 미학적 구원의 가능성, 넷째, 1946년 육당의 사후 발간된 유고 시집 『육사시집』의 진정한 가치, 즉 ‘저항’을 넘어서는 ‘벌거벗은 생명’의 기록과 기억의 위대성과 같은 주제들을 살펴보았다. The purpose of this study is to analyze Lee, Yuk-sa’s poems in terms of Homo Sacer positioned in ‘State of Exception’, that is, the concept and meaning of ‘nuda vita’. As fascism and Nazism are discussed with concrete cases, ‘exception status’ implies the situation in which the military authority of war is extended within the civilian sector and even the status of violence in which the effect of the Constitution stops and citizens can be annihilated according to the arbitrary disposal of authority. ‘Nuda vita’ means ‘life that can be killed but never becomes devalued as a sacrifice’ in such situation. In Chosun, the colony ruled by the Japanese Emperor, was the space where ‘exception status’ was ordinarily found. Especially, the colonized people engaged in criticism or resistance to Japan were those regarded dangerous as ‘Homo Sacer’. Mainly about that, this study has examined, first, ‘The One Star’, the ‘journey’ of a wanderer wishing to build new Earth, second, the avoidance of killing based on the discourse of the ‘hometown’ related to displacement or deprivation, China as another hometown to recognize the reality of East Asia and learn will for literature newly, and also the influence of Lu, Hsun as a model of the literary movement and the meaning of convergence, third, the discovery and calling of ‘The Guest’ and ‘The Superhuman’ representing Lee, Yuk-sa’s orientation to others, the meaning of return and coming to the original hometown of ‘nuda vita’ through that, and also the avoidance of ‘killing’ as the event of ultimacy and the value of possibility of aesthetic salvation, and fourth, the authentic value of Yuk-sa’s poetry, the collection of his poems published after Yukdang’s death in 1946, that is, the records of ‘nuda vita’ beyond ‘resistance’ and themes such as the greatness of memory.

        제주도 바지락에 기생하는 바지락포자충 , Perkinsus sp. 의 공간적 분포 및 조직학적 관찰

        N/A The apicomplexan parasite, Perkinsus sp., has been reported as a causative pathogen responsible for the mass mortality of the Manila clams, Ruditapes philippinarum in European countries as well as in Korea. Prevalence, infection intensity, histopathologic features and zoosporulation of Perkinsus found in the Manila clams distributed along the coast of Cheju Island were investigated in this study. Clams were collected from nine different beaches along the Cheju Island from May to July in 2000. Ray`s Fluid Thioglycollate Medium(RFTM) and Choi`s NaOH lysis methods were applied in the diagnosis and quantification of the Perkinsus infection. Prevalence, percentage infection of the parasite examined was 100% in Pyosun, 70% in Sungsan, 63% in Kumneong, 33% in Jongdalri, 21% in Iho, 17% in Moslpo, and 14% in Seogwipo. No Perkinsus was found in the clams collected from Kimnyong and Yongmeo-ri. Infection intensity as a number of Perkinsus cells per gram tissue wet weight(twwt), was 98,430 cells/g twwt in Pyosun, 78,553 cells/g twwt in Sungsan, 18,980 cells/g twwt in Kumneong, 4,290 cells/g twwt in Jongdalri, 1,527 cells/g twwt in Iho, 1,069 cells/g twwt in Moslpo, and 853 cells/g twwt in Seogwipo. Histological preparation of the infected tissues revealed trophozoites of Perkinsus sp., ranged from 5 to 10㎛, in diameter mostly distibuted in the digestive gland and the gill filaments. Zoospores were discharged from the hypnospore via discharging tube about 2 days after incubated in filtered and aerated seawater. In general, the prevalence and infection intensity of Perkinsus in Cheju Island were much lower than that reported from the western and southern coast of Korea.

        곰소만에 있어 바지락포자충 , Perkinsus sp. 의 출현에 관하여

        Mass mortality of the Manila clam, Ruditapes philippinarum has been reported all along the west and south coast of Korea for the past several years. As a pathogenic agent, Perkinsus sp., an endoparasitic protozoan has been identified in this study and believed to be responsible for the mass mortalities. Prevalence and infection intensity of Perkinsus sp. was investigated from a Manila clam population inhabiting at Komsoe Bay in the west coast where mass mortality of the clam has been reported. A total of 142 Manila clam, 50 oyster, Crassostrea gigas, 10 ark shell, Scapharca broughtonii, and 5 predatory gastropoda, Rapsna venosa were examined for the presence and the quantity of Perldnsus sp. Ray`s fluid thioglycollate medium method (FTM method) with modified Mackin`s infection intensity scale and Choi`s quantitative method were used in detecting and quantifying the parasite. All individuals of R. philippinarum examined in this study were infected with Perkinsus sp., indicaliag 100% prevalence white none of the oysters and the gastropods exhibited the parasite. Six to ten individual hypnospores of Perkinsus sp. were counted from the ark shells. The number of hypnospores in the clam tissues varied from 16,667 to 4,091,667, with a mean number of 1,077,628. Average infection intensity according to Mackin`s was 2.87, indicating a moderate infection. A negative correlation was observed between the number of Perkinsus sp. in the tissue and the condition index, a ratio tissue wet weight to shell cavity volume. The clam size and the infection intensity in terms of total number of parasites were positively correlated; the bigger clam, the heavier infection. Such high number of Perkinsus sp. counted in the clams could be enough to cause physiological disturbance of clams, such as retarded growth and reproduction. It is also believed that such a high infection leads mortality of the clam via continuous draining of the energy by metabolic activities and reproduction of the parasites. Correlation between the condition index and the infection intensity observed in this study supports this hypothesis.

      • Synthesis and Characterization of Reduced Vanadates

        New ternary vanadium oxides were synthesized by various methods and investigated their physical properties by measuring resistivity and magnetic susceptibility as a function of temperature. Reduced ternary vanadates, M1V2O3 (M=Sr, Ca), which have a Ruddlesden-Popper structure were synthesized by hydrogen reduction of M_(3)V_(2)O_(5) and reaction of corresponding oxides in the evacuated silica tubes. The temperature dependent resistivity and magnetic susceptibility data for the Sr_(3)V_(2)O_(7) compound show metallic and paramagnetic behavior, respectively. These results suggest that the reduced vanadate contains unpaired electrons.
