      • 3'-Methyl-4-dimethylaminoazobenzene이 백서의 정상 및 재생간의 EGF Receptor 변동에 미치는 영향

        To study the changes of EGF receptors in the rat liver regeneration and hepatic carcinogenesis, ^125I-EGF binding sites were measured in the regenerated liver cell membrane after partial hepatectomy of normal rat and 3-methyl-4-dimethylaminoazobenzene treated rat. 1. EGF binding sites (Bmax) in the normal rat liver cell membrane were 553.8fmole/mg protein and were markedly decreased at the 1st day after partial hepatectomy. These sites were increased at the 3rd day(Bmax-161.0fmole/mg protein) and were 29% of the normal liver EGF binding sites. 2. EGF binding sites (Bmax) in the normal cell membrane of the 3-methyl-4-dimethylaminoazobenzene-treated rat, were 72.8fmole/mg protein and were significantly less than those in the normal rat live cell membrane. At the 1st day after partial hepatectomy, EGF binding sites were markedly decreased and increased at the 3rd day (Bmax=155.8fmole/mg protein). 3. Kd values in EGF receptor binding were not much altered in both liver cell membranes of the normal rat and the 3-methyl-4-dimethylaminoazobenzene treated rat. From these result, it is suggested that decreased EGF binding sites in the liver cell membrane of regenerating rat liver and 3-methyl-4-dimethylaminoazobenzene treated rat may be due to the alteration of EGF receptor number.

      • 側腦室內 d-Tubocurarine이 家兎 腎臟機能에 미치는 影響

        Effect of d-tubocurarine administered intracerebroventricularly on the renal function of rabb-its was investigated. 1) Intraventricular d-tubocurarine induced decrease of urine flow, renal plasma flow, glomerular filtration, and urinary sodium and potassium excretion, but increase of reabsorption of urinary sodium and potassium. 2) Correlation coefficient between changes of two parameters among urine volume, renal plasma flow, glomerular filtration and urinary sodium excretion was statistically significant. 3) Changes of various parameters of renal function induced by intraventricular d-tubocurarine were inhibited by phenol treatment on the renal artery except change of sodium. From the above results, it is suggested that the effect of intraventricular d-tubocurarine on the renal function of rabbit is due to renal hemodynamic changes by central sympathetic activation.

      • 만성정신질환자의 욕구에 대한 수요자(환자)와 공급자(치료자) 측면의 비교 연구

        Objectives : We performed this study to assess the needs of the chronically mentally ill(CMI) from the perspectives of the consumers(patients) and the providers(therapists) and to compare the differences between them. We also aimed to find met needs and unmet needs and then to determine the priority of the mental health services for the CMI. Methods : 165 patients and 19 therapists were examined with need assessment tool which had been developed by authors. Through statistical analysis, we evaluated the degree of problem, the degree of intervention, the relative degree of problem, and the degree of demand in each areas of needs, and compared the differences between patient group and therapist group. After then met needs and unmet needs from the perspectives of each group were revealed. Results : 1) There were differences in the assessment of needs between patients and therapists. 2) The more problem areas assessed by patients were finances, mental health, occupation, and leisure life in order of higher ranks. While occupation, leisure life, mental health, and finances were assessed as highly ranked problem areas by the therapist group. 3) Patients perceived that they were given more helps from others in the areas of mental health, physical health, accommodation, and relation to family than other areas. From the perspective of therapists, the areas of needs such as mental health, basic knowledge, occupation, and interpersonal retation were highly ranked intervention areas. 4) The demands for daily living skill, occupation, finances, accommodation were ranked highly by patient group. Highly demanded needs assessed by therapist group were mental health, occupation, interpersonal relation, and basic knowledge. 5) Unmet needs assessed by patient group were occupation, finances, and accommodation, while by therapist group, occupation. Conclusions : The needs of the CMI were assessed and identified by the consumers(patients) and providers(therapists) with the same tool. The differences between two groups were revealed. The most important unmet need of the CMI was occupation. These results can be used to plan the priority of mental health services and policies.

      • 월드컵 경기장 조명설비에 관한 연구

        Nowadays the soccer becomes one of the best spot lighting sports in the world. Especially the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup was deeply impressed on all the korean. One goal of illuminating engineering should be the design of lighting system that can provide consistently high task visibility regardless of where a task might be located within a working space. The television broadcasting on the soccer has been an important role in the media. The standard of FIFA(The Federation Internationale de Football Association) requires recommended illuminance levels for artificial lighting for a player, an audience, TV broadcasting, as well as everybody in the stadium. This paper has proposed an algorithm to select the suboptimal lighting tower position for watching and TV broadcasting a soccer game within a pleasant environment and an optimum illuminance distribution. The position using the software Philip`s Calculux was chosen based an the calculations of a horizontal illuminance, vertical illuminance, uniformity, glare, and so on by changing lighting tower positions.

      • 불규칙한 수심단면에서 쇄파대 부근의 파고변형

        The objective of this paper is to develop two numerical model for predictiong the wave height with set-up/down near the surfzone on a arbitrary beach profile. Two wave models, regular wave model and random wave model, are based on the energy flux equation with the energy dissipation effects. The developed numerical models are verified by comparison of numerical results with analytical solutions that are derived under the simple conditions. The characteristics of parameters included in each model are then investigated and decided to the range of behaviour by the sensitivity analysis. For sensitivity analysis, we carried out total 46 laboratory tests. Finally, the developed numerical models are applied to the field where the wave height near the surfzone has been measured. From the applications fo numerical models, it is concluded that the developed numerical models may accurately predict the wave height with the set-up/down near the surfzone on a arbitrary beach profile.

      • 자동차 배기관의 비접촉 진동 측정

        In this work, the vibration of an automobile exhaust system is measured by using a recently-developed magnetic sensor. The magnetic sensor is composed of a solenoid and two pairs of permanent magnets generating an antisymmetric magnetic field in the lateral direction inside the solenoid. Lateral movement of a ferromagnetic pipe inside the magnetic field of the suggested sensor induces an electromotive force in the solenoid corresponding to the lateral velocity of the pipe. Due to the simplicity and non-contact characteristics of the magnetic sensor, dynamic behaviors of the structures operating under high temperature such as an exhaust pipe can be efficiently observed. It is shown that the lateral vibration of the exhaust system can be successfully measured by the suggested sensors. The Campbell diagram of the exhaust system is plotted to examine the vibration characteristics of the exhaust system.

      • 골격근 근형질세망의 ATPase활성도에 대한 Vanillylnonanamide의 영향

        To investigate the effect of vanillylnonanamide(VN) on the ATPase activity of the sarcoplasmic reticulum(SR) of the skeletal muscle, we prepared the SR vesicles from the back muscle of the rabbit, and measured ATPase activity. The results as follows: Ca-ATPase activity was about 50% in the total ATPase activity of skeletal muscular SR. In the reaction mixture with calcium, 100μM VN increased ATPase activity to 20%, and 100 nM and 10 μM thapsigargin(THP) inhibited the ATPase activity to 50% and 60%, respectively. And 100 μM VN plus 100 nM or 10 μM THP more inhibited ATPase activity than THP alone did it. However, without calcium, 100μM VN did not affect ATPase activity, and 10 μM THP inhibited it to 41%, but VN plus THP inhibited it to 31%. The above results show that VN in the reaction mixture with or without calcium has the different action to ATPase activity when it is used alone or together with Ca-ATPase inhibitor THP. This suggests that VN might increase or decrease the skeletal SR Ca-ATPase activity through affecting the lipid membrane around the Ca-ATPase.

      • 부산시 소재 각급 학교에 대한 대기오염도의 비교분석

        According to the conclusion of this study, air pollution concentration of Youngdo-gu belong to Seobu educational institution was in the lowest density.(SO_2 : 0.002 ppm, PM-10 : 32 ㎍/㎥, No_2 : 0.016 ppm) and Dongnae-gu belong to Dongnae educational institution was in the highest.(SO_2 : 0.002 ppm, PM-10 : 88㎍/㎥, No_2 : 0.047 ppm) Air pollution level by classification of each educational institution about elementary schools, middle schools, high schools in Busan appeared that the pollution level about all air pollutants appeared high in Dongnae, Dongbu, Bukbu, Haeundae, Nambu, Seobu in due order. Air pollution level by classification of each Gu about elementary schools, middle schools, high schools in Busan appeared that the pollution level of Geumjeong-gu was very high (SO_2 : 0.002 ppm, No_2 : 0.047 ppm, PM-10 : 89 ㎍/㎥) and level of pollution around high school in Busan was the highest. To improve air quality getting worse day by day, steady and systematic control of observing the air quality standards should be continued. The more effective and active method of air quality improvement should be considered.

      • 위상최적화를 이용한 트레일러의 경량설계

        A new design for a lightweight flatbed trailer with high bending and torsional stiffness is presented by using an integrated CAE-based optimization procedure. The integrated design procedure consists of two main steps: topology optimization and thickness optimization. During topology optimization, a creative frame layout different from existing ladder-type frames can be obtained by searching the best layout out of all possible layouts of a simplified design domain model. After approximating the result of topology optimization as a thin-walled structure, the approximated thicknesses of the plates are optimized to minimize the mass of a trailer.
