The aerodynamics of a floating wind turbine was analyzed, and the results were applied to a wake model by introducing a modified NOJ model. In addition, the effect of the 6-DOFs characteristics on the wind farm optimization is examined by comparing the platform type (fixed and floating) and wake models (NOJ model and modified NOJ model). The unsteady vortex-lattice method (UVLM) is used to analyze the aerodynamic characteristics of a floating wind turbine. The relationship between the 6-DOFs motion and power performance is validated through theoretical analysis. This study proposes a modified NOJ model to consider the multiwake effect of a floating wind farm. The results demonstrate that the conventional layout optimization method has an error in the layout position and power performance due to the characteristics of a floating wind turbine. Therefore, 6-DOFs motion and its influence should be considered for accurate floating wind farm optimization.

Ischemic stroke in young adults can pose diagnostic challenges, particularly when the clinical features deviate from the common presentation. Here, we present the case of a 31-year-old female with transient left-sided hemiparesis. Brain magnetic resonance imaging and angiography revealed right frontoparietal lobe infarction and stenosis of the right internal carotid arteries. Genetic testing revealed a heterozygous variant of unknown significance in the ATP-binding cassette subfamily C member 6 gene NM_001171.6:c.3739C>A (p.Pro1247Thr) that is associated with pseudoxanthoma elasticum, which is a rare disorder characterized by abnormal mineralization of elastic tissues. Although variants of unknown significance can only be classified as causative conditions if all other possible causes are ruled out, this report suggests the importance of considering unusual genetic conditions in young patients with ischemic stroke. Further genetic research, functional studies, and genetic counseling are vital for a comprehensive understanding of these cases.
Congestive myelopathy due to spinal dural arteriovenous fistula mimicking CNS demyelinating disease
Nakhoon Kim,Hongil Kim,Hyunkee Kim,Jinseok Park 대한뇌혈관외과학회 2022 Journal of Cerebrovascular and Endovascular Neuros Vol.24 No.4
Spinal dural arteriovenous fistula (SDAVF) is known for its ambiguous and various clinical presentations. Among these presentations, congestive myelopathy is one of the most common, yet it is challenging to correctly diagnose SDAVF at initial presentation. Several diseases present as myelopathy, including demyelinating diseases. Herein, we present two cases of congestive myelopathy due to SDAVF presenting to the emergency room (ER) with progressive quadriparesis. Even though the patients had a proper magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examination from the initial presentation, there was a delay in making a final diagnosis. Both patients’ clinical presentation and MRI mimicked central nervous system (CNS) demyelinating disease initially, and a more thorough examination revealed SDAVF. Such a delay in diagnosis can result in more neurological deterioration and may result in more sequelae. Hence, SDAVF should always be considered as a differential diagnosis when examining patients with myelopathy.
Lower Cranial Nerve Palsy due to Prevertebral Tuberculosis Infection
Nakhoon Kim,Hyunkee Kim,Il Mo Kang,Young Seo Kim 대한신경초음파학회 2021 대한신경초음파학회지 (JNN) Vol.13 No.2
Prevertebral tuberculosis is a rare infectious disease that often affects immunocompromised patients in developing countries. We present the case of a patient who complained of headache, dysarthria, and dysphagia. Neurological examination revealed multiple cranial nerve palsies, including the hypoglossal, glossopharyngeal, and vagus nerves. Brain magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated an infiltrative lesion in the prevertebral space, and the biopsy revealed chronic inflammation. On suspicion of immune-mediated inflammation, the patient was treated with intravenous dexamethasone and oral prednisolone, with minimal response. Eleven months after the initial diagnosis, the patient’s neurological symptoms were aggravated, and we detected newly developed pulmonary tuberculosis. After the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis, his neurological symptoms improved, and the imaging study demonstrated improvements. Although we lacked positive laboratory or biopsy results for tuberculosis, we suspect that the lesions were distant tuberculosis infections. Tuberculosis should be considered in patients with unknown infiltrative mass-like lesions in the prevertebral spaces.

The comparison between $CO_2$ volume mixing ratios observed by GOSAT and TCCON from September 2009 through November 2012 was performed at Tsukuba and Saga, two downwind sites in East Asia. The temporal trends of $CO_2$ values obtained from GOSAT show good agreement with those observed by TCCON at these two by the TCCON, showing a coefficient of determination ($R^2$) of 0.65. The regression slop we obtained was 0.92, showing a small bias of GOSAT $CO_2$ values compared to those observed by TCCON. However, we found the higher correlation in fall and winter than that in spring and summer. The $CO_2$ volume mixing ratios observ sites. The $CO_2$ volume mixing ratios observed by GOSAT are also in good agreement with those measured ed by GOSAT are in good agreement with those measured by the TCCON at those two sites in fall and winter, showing a coefficient of determination ($R^2$) of 0.66 where as the correlation of determination obtained between GOSAT and TCCON was only 0.27 in spring and summer.

Maximizing tibial coverage is an important consideration in total knee replacement arthroplasty to provide stability and even load transfer and to improve long term survival rate of the implants. We evaluated the coverage, underhang and overhang ratio for the proximal tibial resection surface during total knee replacement arthroplasty in Koreans. After cutting the proximal tibia, the outline of tibial resection surface was traced manually. We compared 5 tibial tray designs, AGC(Biomet, Warsaw, U.S.A.), Advantim(Wright medical technology, Arlington, U.S.A.), AMK(DePuy, Warsaw, U.S.A), MG II(Zimmer, Indiana, U.S.A.), Series 7000(Osteonics, New Jersey, U.S.A.), which have been commercially used in Korea for total knee replacement arthroplasty. The average percentage of coverage area were 83.3% in AGC, 81.6% in AMK, 80.3% in MG II, 80.2% in Advantim and 76.9% in Series 7000. The average percentage of underhang were 16.7% in AGC, 18.4% in AMK, 19.6% in MG II, 19.8% in Advantim and 23.1% in Series 7000. The average percentage of overhang were measured 7.97% in AGC, 7.86% in AMK, 8.01% in MG II, 8.77% in Advantim and 10.14% in Series 7000. So average coverage percentage of tibial cutting surface was 80.5% in Koreans. The factors which affect the optimal coverage, were the shape, dimensional interval of tibial trays and the number of practically useful tibial trays for Koreans.
