This paper examines permanent magnet eddy current couplings and brakes. Specifically, the effect of permanent magnet magnetization patterns on the magnetic field and force production is investigated. The eddy current couplings and brakes employ high energy-product neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) permanent magnets that act on iron-backed copper drums to provide torque transfer from motor to load without mechanical contact. A 2-dimensional finite element modeling is performed to predict the electromagnetic behavior and the torque-speed characteristics of permanent magnet type eddy current couplings and brakes under constant speed operation.

This paper presents the switching angle and voltage for maximizing the torque or efficiency and minimizing torque ripple of an 8/6, SRM The approximate analysis and computer simulation determine the switching angle and voltage by using SIMULINK^®. This is performed as a function of the speed and torque required by the load From the results, new three facts can be known: First, the maximum torque depends on voltage and speed depends on switching angle. The others, the maximum efficiency and minimum torque ripple rely on switching angle. We control the switching angle and voltage of an asymmetrical inverter for the SRM with one-chip micro controller.

A Patient with Guillain-Barre Syndrome Treated with Combined Korean Medicine Treatments

A patient diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) suffering from numbness in the toes and fingers, paralysis in the face, and back pain received intravenous immunoglobulin on December 28, 2019. Without an improvement in symptoms the patient was admitted to a Korean medicine hospital on January 1, 2020 to receive combined Korean medicine treatment including herbal medicine (Sipjeondaebo-tanggami and Hyangbujasunkipalmul-tang), acupuncture treatment, moxibustion, cupping treatment, and physical therapy. Treatment was administered over 51 days, of which 17 days were during hospitalization. Paralysis of facial muscle, and numbness in fingers and toes were evaluated using the Yanagihara score and numeric rating scale (NRS) score, respectively. Facial paralysis improved (21 to 40 based on Yanagihara score) and paresthesia of the hands and feet disappeared (NRS score 6-7 to NRS score 0). There were no side effects or sequela. This study suggested combined Korean medicine treatment may be effective for the treatment of GBS.

본 논문에서는 다극형(128극) 1㎾급 용력 발전기의 설계 및 특성에 대한 분석을 논하였다. 도심형 용력 발전기는 대부분 낮은 RPM에서 고효율이 필요로 되는 특성이 있다. 따라서 낮은 운전속도에서도 고효율을 얻을 수 있도록 다극화한 발전기를 설계하고 그 특성을 분석함으로써, 도심형 저속 풍력 발전기 및 소수력 발전기에 사용될 수 있는 다극형 풍력 발전기의 특성을 조사하였다. 특히 본 논문에서는 슬롯형태의 발전기를 제작함으로써 기존의 발전기가 가질 수 없었던 고효율특성을 얻었다. 반면 높아진 코깅 토크를 저감하기 위해서 3차원 전자장 해석을 통한 코깅 저감을 실시하여 고효율 발전기를 설계하였다.
연자성체를 이용한 단상BLDC 모터의 설계 및 특성 평가

본 논문은 연자성체(Iron powder)를 적용한 단상 BLDCM의 설계 및 해석에 관한 연구이다. 특히 본 연구에서는 청소기용 36000RPM급 고속 단상 BLDCM에 관한 것으로써 연자성체를 적용시 모터 특성에 영향을 미치는 인자와 설계 특성에 대하여 기술 하였다. 아울러 밀도 분포를 고려한 설계 방법을 제안하여 연자성체를 이용한 모터 설계 방법의 기준을 제시 하였다.

Also, we expects that the driving, methods, which are maximizing torque/ efficiency and minimizing torque ripple, are suitable for the electric vehicle, the industrial application and household appliances.
