        학습장애 아동의 조기판별 예측요인과 방법

        학습장애의 조기 발견은 학령기에 나타날 수 있는 발달상의 잠재적 학습장애의 문제를 피하기 위한 예방적 교육을 실시할 수 있으므로 조기에 장애를 발견하고, 그들의 정상적인 성장과 발달을 위해 효과적인 중재를 시행하면 궁극적인 결과는 매우 좋아질 것이다. 따라서 조기예방과 조기 중재를 위해서 반드시 조기발견이 선행되어야 하며, 이러한 아동의 조기판별은 아동에게 맞는 더 나은 서비스, 중재를 조기에 투입하여 아동에게 일어날 장애를 최소화하고 예방하는 데에 큰 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 글에서는 학습장애 아동을 위한 조기 판별에 관한 선행연구와 문헌들을 바탕으로 학습장애를 조기에 판별해낼 수 있는 방법과 판별 예측 요인들을 살펴보고, 이러한 방법과 예측 요인들이 얼마나 측정학적으로 타당하고 신뢰로운 방법인가에 대해서 생각해 보며 결과적으로 학습장애 조기판별이 가지는 의의를 알아보고자 한다. It is possible to carry out preventive education to avoid graduating potential learning disabilities on children of school age by early classification on learning disabilities, which eventually produces good result with effective intervention for normal growth and development. Therefore early finding should be preceded for early prediction and intervention, and this early classification is significant in that early better service and intervention, which are suitable for children, can minimize and prevent and difficulties. Various factors such as emotional, behavioral, psychological, environmental aspects and concentration should be considered to distinguish children who seem like having difficulties in learning beforehand. Theses factors also can be carried out not only by traditional measuring method but by informal test leaded by teachers. Moreover, judgment of teachers and parents is very important because early classification influence on families of children as well as themselves. Hence, teachers have to be sensitive of children who have difficulties of learning and observe children, and they must be able to connect all possibilities with a series of education and assessment. In addition, it is needed to educate instructors and parents and develope various informal testing implements and check-list on growth as soon as possible.

      • 국산 백침계 오이와 수출용 백침계 오이의 오이 물김치 제조가 저장 중 품질에 미치는 영향

        국산 백침계 오이와 수출용 백침계 오이로 제조한 오이 물김치의 저장 중 변화는 다음과 같다. 1. pH는 적정 pH인 3.5±0.1에 이르는 시기가 세 시료 모두 14일로 이 수준은 백다다기 오이로 7% 용액에 CaCl_2, 첨가 및 microwave를 이용한 후 열 처리군과 유사한 경향을 보였다. 2. 총산도의 변호는 발효 완결 기준을 1.4±0.1%로 볼 때 대조군은 14일, 수출용 오이들은 7일로 대조군이 수출용 오이들에 비해 발효가 지연되는 경향을 보였다. 3. 환원당의 변화는 대조군이 14일부터 감소하고, 수출용 오이들은 지속적으로 감소 추세를 보였고 대조군은 미생물 증식 속도가 늦은 경향을 보였다. 4. 총균수는 세 품종 모두 발효 적기인 14일에 최대 균수를 보인 후에도 증가가 계속되어 발효가 서서히 진행되는 경향을 보였다. ◁표삽입▷ 원문을 참조하세요 5. 세 품종의 젖산균수도 총균수의 변화와 경향은 유사했으나 발효 적기인 14일에 최대균수를 보인 후 발효말기까지 큰 변화를 나타내지 않았다. 6. 물성도의 변화는 저장 14일 째에 측정한 결과 견고도는 대조군이 수출용 오이들보다 높은 것으로 나타났다. 7. 관능 검사 결과 저장 기간 동안 의관은 세 시료 모두 높은 값을 나타내고, 저장기간과 시료간의 Pearson의 상관 계수는 초록색의 정도와 아작함이 유의 수준내에서 음의 관계를 보였다. In this research, we targeted to see if there was difference of shelf-lives of two different species cucumber. We pickled domestic and exporting cucumber to make comparison while they were fermented and stored. As for the domestic cucumber we choose CHICHEONG and for the exporting cucumber we choose special BAEKSEONG and SHARP I. We blanched them and soaked them into hot saline water for 8 hours. Two kinds of cucumber Kimchi were at room temperature for first day and 5℃ from 2nd to 28th day. It was found, from the results, that all of samples of pH reached at 305℃0.1 on the 14th of fermentation. The titratable acidity of the control increased on 14th day of fermentation, which was bit late than change of others. The reducing sugar contents of the control did not decrease until 7th day of fermentation while reducing sugar contents of others decreased gradually from the beginning. the patterns of microfloral changes of two kinds of Cucumber Kimchi were similar during fermentation period. The number of total cell increased up to 14th day, similarly the numbers of lactic acid bacteria increased up to 14th day then barely decreased. The hardness of the control was bit higher than others when it was measured on 14th day of fermentation. The sensory evaluation of Cucumber Kimchi with different species showed that both species had significant high negative scores in green color and crispness when those were compared between fermentation time and samples.

      • 관상동맥색전증에 의한 급성심근경색증 4예

        Acute myocardial infarction(AMI) due to coronary embolism can occur in patients with normal coronary artery. Coronary embolism is believed to be a cause of acute myocardial infarction when emergent coronary angiography shows perfectly normal coronary trees, except for the finding of coronary artery occlusion. In this report, we describe four patients with AMI due to coronary embolism who were successfully treated using a thrombus aspiration device and anticoagulation, and those patients had intracardial thrombus arising from the left atrium due to chronic atrial fibrillation and valvular heart disease. Patients with chronic or paroxysmal atrial fibrillation can present with AMI due to coronary embolism, and thrombus aspiration with percutaneous aspiration device is a feasible treatment option for these patients along with anticoagulation the rapy.

        Inference of a causal relation between low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and hypertension using mendelian randomization analysis

        Background: It is known in some studies that higher the LDL-C, the greater the risk of developing cardiovascular disease. However, studies of the causal effects between LDL-C and hypertension are limited by their observational study design, and genetic epidemiology studies of associations between LDL-C and hypertension are lacking, as are studies using data for Koreans. In this study, we confirmed the causal effect of LDL-C on hypertension using Korean chip data. Method: The epidemiology and genotype data were collected from the Korean Genome and Epidemiology Study conducted by the Korea National Institute of Health and covered 20,701 subjects. Single-nucleotide polymorphisms associated with LDL-C were selected (p-value < 5 × 10− 8 ) from the Global Lipids Genetics Consortium database, and Mendelian randomization analysis (MRA) was performed with counted genetic risk scores and weighted genetic risk scores (WGRSs) for 24 single-nucleotide polymorphisms. Result: The assumptions for MRA were statistically confirmed, and WGRSs showed a strong association with LDL-C. Interestingly, while the relationship between LDL-C and hypertension was not statistically significant in the observational study, MRA study demonstrated that the risk of hypertension increased as LDL-C increased in both men and women. Conclusions: The results of this study confirmed that the relationship between LDL-C and hypertension is greatly influenced by genetic information.

      • Piperlongumine activates Sirtuin1 and improves cognitive function in a murine model of Alzheimer’s disease

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Sirtuin1 (Sirt1) is an unusual target for aging and aging-associated diseases. During the screening for Sirt1 activators from natural compounds, piperlongumine (PL), one of the major constituents of <I>Piper longum</I>, potently activated the deacetylase ability of Sirt1 <I>in vitro</I>. Treatment with PL, which regulated the gene transcription of antioxidant response element in hippocampal neurons, attenuated the cytotoxicity induced by intraneuronal Aβ<SUB>1-42</SUB> expression. The oral administration of PL, at a dose of 50 mg/kg/day for 2.5 months, significantly reduced the occupied area of beta-amyloid in parietal cortex of APP/PS1 mice. Novel object recognition and working memory impairment also markedly improved. Moreover, activated microglia and astrocytes in the cortex notably decreased, indicating the anti-inflammatory activity of PL. Finally, vesicular glutamate transporter 1 significantly increased in the hippocampus of APP/PS1 mice following PL treatment. These results suggested the beneficial effects PL and its therapeutic potential to ameliorate AD-like pathology.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Piperlongumine (PL) activates the deacetylase ability of Sirt1 <I>in vitro</I>. </LI> <LI> PL improves cognitive deficits in APP/PS1 mice. </LI> <LI> PL reduces amyloid deposition and neuro-inflammation in the brain of APP/PS1 mice. </LI> <LI> PL increases VGLUT1 level in the hippocampus of APP/PS1 mice. </LI> </UL> </P>

        Piperlongumine decreases cognitive impairment and improves hippocampal function in aged mice

        <P>Piperlongumine (PL), a biologically active compound from the <I>Piper</I> species, has been shown to exert various pharmacological effects in a number of conditions, including tumours, diabetes, pain, psychiatric disorders and neurodegenerative disease. In this study, we evaluated the therapeutic effects of PL on hippocampal function and cognition decline in aged mice. PL (50 mg/kg/day) was intragastrically administrated to 23-month-old female C57BL/6J mice for 8 weeks. Novel object recognition and nest building behaviour tests were used to assess cognitive and social functions. Additionally, immunohistochemistry and western blot analysis were performed to examine the effects of PL on the hippocampus. We found that the oral administration of PL significantly improved novel object recognition and nest building behaviour in aged mice. Although neither the percentage area occupied by astrocytes and microglia nor the level of 4-hydroxynonenal protein, a specific marker of lipid peroxidation, were altered by PL treatment, the phosphorylation levels of <I>N</I>-methyl-D-aspartate receptor subtype 2B (NR2B), calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II alpha (CaMKIIα) and extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 (ERK1/2) were markedly increased in the hippocampus of aged mice following the administration of PL. We also found that PL treatment resulted in a CA3-specific increase in the phosphorylation level of cyclic AMP response element binding protein, which is recognized as a potent marker of neuronal plasticity, learning and memory. Moreover, the number of doublecortin-positive cells, a specific marker of neurogenesis, was significantly increased following PL treatment in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus. On the whole, these data demonstrate that PL treatment may be a potential novel approach in the treatment of age-related cognitive impairment and hippocampal changes.</P>

      • Recent activity of mouse metabolic phenotyping service at Korea Mouse Phenotyping Center (KMPC)

        To understand the function of individual genes is also a key information in developing new treatment techniques. Even though a couple of genetically engineered mouse (GEM) models has been generated, still precising determination of mouse phenotype is not easy. Precising mouse phenotyping is one of the effective way leading to discovery gene function. International Mouse Phenotyping Consortium (IMPC) has established mega database of mouse phenotyping data from different institutes across the world based on generalized platform. However more precised mouse phenotyping is still needed. In order to meet the need for more detailed phenoyping in mouse, Korea Mouse Phenotyping Center (KMPC), nation-wide program for mouse production and phenotyping in Korea has been establishing several pipelines for disease-specific mouse phenotyping to support the mouse research. Here we introduce mouse metabolic and exercise phenotyping services, as well as the other services of mouse research such as providing genetically engineered mouse information, producing selling genetically engineered mice, and managing resource quality so that researchers can easily utilize the research infrastructure. Metabolic characterization in mouse is one of key factors for understanding the pathogenesis of obesity, type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance. KMPC has been providing mouse metabolic phenotyping including high fat diet, exercise and cold challenges. Multiple parameter including energy expenditure (EE), O2/CO2 consumption (RER), heat generation and activity has been provided with histology service and body composition. Also temperature can be measured during metabolic chamber with telemetric system. Here we summarized mouse metabolic phenotyping services at KMPC.
